This is one of the best fast food places I go to as it is always clean & the help is typically friendly & on the ball. Had the pancake platter which was good - not as good as biscuits & gravy which is their best breakfast. For a fast food joint this place is good.

I came here recently and had the standard Taco Bell experience. They still sell the tostada, although it is not on the menu. If you like Taco Bell, you will like this place.

Our family loves this restaurant! All of the staff are helpful and friendly and the food is wonderful. Make sure you try the white sauce! Our favorites are the prime rib and brisket but you're really safe trying anything! Even their sides are good. If you like baked beans, make sure you try these, they're smokey and sweet with just a little kick and lots of yummy pork in them!
Fantastic. Me and my Kansas City crew stopped in to this hole in the wall joint. Blown away by the ribs, the Burgoo, the brisket, the pulled pork, the beans and the cobbler. Will be back!
Just traveling through and glad I found this place. Everything was excellent, food, service, staff and the Peach Cobbler was off the chain! Really enjoyed the blues music in the background. Hoping to travel this way again so I can stop in. Even ordered some to take back to SC it was so good!!!!

A friendly and clean place for fish lovers. I'm always nervous that Long John Silver's will be cold and greasy, but my fish and chicken platter was hot and picture perfect. The staff was friendly and diligently keeping the dining room clean during lunch hour.

Very friendly staff. Food was served fast. I personally do not eat much fast food, but I was starving and stopped by Rallys. It was my first Rallys visit. They have a good selection. This place feels like a Checkers to me. I grabbed a milkshake which you could tell was from a machine and obviously not blended ice cream and milk. If you like fast food you will probably love Rallys. They also have fried cheese sticks, burgers, fries, and chili dogs, so it is better than many other chains.

Motel by James Madison Inn

Stopped for the night as I was passing through town. The desk clerk was extremely friendly and hospitable. My room was clean and neat as far as roadside motel standards are concerned. This place is a quick walk to the downtown area and what I think is the only bar in town. Only complaint is there was no shampoo in the bathroom. Only soap. But otherwise my stay at the Madison Inn was great and I would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself in Madisonville.

Acapulco Mexican Grill

Went back last night after about a year. MUCH better this time. The salsa is still pretty wimpy, but wife's chimichanga was very good, and my paella was great. It's Mexican rather than Spanish style, so less saffron flavor in the rice, but really tasty and lots of it. Shrimp, small strips of beef and chicken mixed with grilled tomato, onion, peas, etc. Given the 99 cent margaritas on Saturdays, it's hard to go wrong. Two dinners, a huge draft, and a margarita came to only a little over $20.

It has been a long time since I ate here but this continues to be the best place in this city. All the main dishes have lots of flavor & I like the fact there is actually a lot of healthy choices on the buffet. I loaded up with 5-6 vegetables and did the salad bar. The potato salad was excellent. Having said that, splurge on two desserts which are homemade. Great meal for the price.
No breakfast? ?! Ok...We'll try the lunch buffet. .. WOW!!!! turkey. .mashed taters. .. Corn bread.. Breaded pork chop... Vegetable beef soup.. OMG!!! I'm not missing breakfast today...
This place is awesome! It's has a huge buffet and all kinds of delicious desserts. The staff was friendly and helpful. My waitress kept my drink full. The fried chicken was very tasty. The mashed taters were made from real taters, none of the fake stuff, with real gravy. The cooked apples were so buttery and sweet! Very reasonably priced as well.

Best BBQ joint in KY. Awesome staff, real smoked meats, fantastic experience. Don't leave without having the apple dumpling. Can't wait to come back!!
Clean and well staffed, but food was very plain. Had a pork sandwich & friend had brisket sandwich. She described as McDonald's of BBQ.
Was in town for a funeral. Stopped in to grab food for the family. Ordered pulled pork, smoked chicken, brisket and ribs. Everyone love the food. Besides the GREAT food. I was really impressed with the staff. The young lady that waited on us was very friendly and enthusiastic about their food. It is very refreshing versus getting the blank stare you get from many people taking your order at fast food places, not caring one bit.

The Crowded House

Visited the Crowded House on a Tuesday night when I was in town for business. I'll go back for sure. Cold beer, friendly staff and good food. I ordered the house made hummus as an app. The chips were warm and the hummus was definitely NOT from a food service. It wasn't blended super smooth like commercially made "Sabra". A couple of wide slices of red pepper were a nice edition. I ordered the pork "ribeye" as my entree and it was juicy and tender. I asked for it to be cooked to order med rare. I don't mind my pork a little pink. The bartender(I sat in the pub part of the place) was happy to accommodate m my request. The only issue I had with the entree were the sides. I got the baked potato and a side of grilled asparagus. Both were cool. Not the temp you'd expect for a baker and grilled veggie. The bartender was quick to ask me how things were and to bring me fresh sides when I told him I wasn't pleased. I was given a complimentary desert for my troubles. All and all... A great place.
I'm all about respecting me and what I taught, but these guys were killing the creativity of local artists. I heard this cowboy tell someone they couldn't say anything "offensive" in their songs, and even when they complied he still kinda blew them off. This is in every negative way, a "family bar". Major bummer bro. The atmosphere feels kinda killjoy, like hanging out with Michael while he brags about fighting demons. If you're a band that plays anything besides generic Christian rock or country, don't play here. They won't give you the time of day. What are you staying in this crap town for anyways? Come to Louisville and eat some Chinese with the J-man. Christ out.
Stooped in from out of town for a snack and a beer. Had hummus. Very well done. Toasted flat bread. Great draft choices and top shelf grub for MVille. Stayed to watch karaoke on Wednesday and it was really great! Great bartender. Not panicky Attentive. Crowd is friendly and fun loving. Will return..
