The best thing about Rafferty's is their happy hour deals. Everyday until 8:00, $2.50 margaritas, well drinks, beer. The food is pretty meh. Most of the dishes leave a lot to be desired. I've dined at Rafferty's countless times and these are my recommendations. For an appetizer, the cheese fries are probably your best bet; the queso is horrible. For a main dish, I stick with an entree salad. They have good homemade dressings, and all salads come with a delicious honey butter croissant. The service is fine and the prices are reasonable. Overall, it's very average. I wouldn't chose to come here, but I can find something to satisfy me if I end up here.

So I've read all the bad reviews and its a good thing bc I was about to order the salmon. It sounded good but the reviews for it say it's a no go. I ordered the chicken salad it was good, it had grapes , nuts, and it was served with a croissant. I would say I was pretty happy . Average everything. The two not so great things were the check took a really long time to come.... We were left sitting there just looking at our food. The other thing was where we were seated. We were seated in the bar, which is no big deal ..... until their blender breaks and it sounded like a jack hammer for a full five mins. Ouch

This is an ok place. Standard issue dining experience you'd expect from a chain. The place was clean and the staff did ok. They sat us near the bar next to some kinda ice machine. It ran very loud making it hard to hold a conversation when it was used. It's a good place to go if your in the area and just need food. I would say the experience is right on par with a TGI Fridays or Applebee's. Not bad but nothing earth shattering.

I've only recently tried raffertys but i like the casual, quiet atmosphere, the steak is great tasting and cooked just right at medium rare, the cost is low ($16 for a ribeye) & the bartender recalled my name after my first visit a month ago. Mad props for the last one.

Adequate...NOT really sure what to say... Extra long wait time then my steak was overcooked...

After a long week, it's great to head to a relaxing night out. Well tonight was far from that. A situation over a salad- really? And what made things worse is that the manager came to check on us, but instead of offering an apology we got an ear full of excuses and her blaming the kitchen for messing things up. Although the salad was scratched off the ticket, literally, we still were charged for it's tax. Poor management and lack of proper training... don't blame customers or staff- just take responsibility for the issue and correct the problem.

I used to love coming here..I thought the food was good. Recently I went to this Raffertys and the service was terrible- our server didn't speak two words to us. Our typical "go-to" items had been taken off the menu and someone different came to the table each time we were brought something. Who am I supposed to tip?!

3 out of the 6 people in my group had to send the steaks back due to over cooking. I had to send mine back twice. I didn't have to pay for my dinner so that's why I give them 3 stars. They at least made it right, but I didn't get to eat my dinner with my group they were finished by the time I got mine.

Very average but we have seemed to have dined here a lot( even though this place reminds me of the restaurant in the movie Waiting, yeeck! lol). Maybe location, good service, convenience? Anyway, if you want a fairly decent meal at a fair price, they are a step above your average chain( Applebees, Chilis, Cheddars, etc.) Don't expect greatness, and you will leave full and content.

I liked it. I enjoyed my mashed potato's better than I enjoyed my unseasoned steak though. Overall the steak was actually a good one... it just needed more flavor... A LOT more flavor and I got this thing rare because I thought it would have more flavor that way... wrong again Kayla.

It was late and I was exhausted. They have a separate entrance for pick up / take out orders so I stopped here to get some grub. I ended up choosing the bourbon glazed salmon which sounds much better than it tastes. Or maybe it just that meals like this aren't meant to be eaten out of plastic to go boxes. The garlic mashed potatoes were pretty good ... made from real potatoes! The salmon itself was a bit overcooked - definitely some pre-frozen patty. The bourbon glaze was almost too bitter and then too sweet - which made for tough eatin' on tough fish.

All I've got to say is honey butter croissants. Jesus they are good. Sweet and flaky and worth every single carb. I love that most of the women in my office try to avoid them and get the salad and give me theirs. Win. Their salads are also where it is at. Pretty reasonable 6-7 for the small (which is pretty big!) and 8-9 for the large which really is a full meal. The hot fingers one is pretty awesome and best with ranch but their hot bacon something or another dressing is really interesting and flavorful. Worth getting a side of to try. Sandwiches are pretty good here as well. Can't speak on the dessert because I'm always full :)

Last chance was an epic fail. I have tried them a few times, never really impressed and this last time was the worst of all. We got a to go order after a long day. The person taking the order did not know the menu, no idea what the sides were or if the meal included a side at all. I had to help her out by checking the menu online. The food was ready when she said, but I kind of wish they would have lost the order. When I got it home I see there are no croissants which come with every meal, the steak might as well be a piece of leather, the salmon is the strangest salmon fillet I have ever seen. Not even in thickness and looked more like a fish stick than salmon filet. Good news is I won't waste another meal here, I am done with this place.

Not really thrilled with the food. Came here straight from the medical plaza and hungry. Food was ok. Portions were fine. Atmosphere was typical. Overall its a typical chain restaurant. Got the babyback chicken strip combo. Service was a bit skimpy.

my 350th review is a tribute to a great friend and a great contributor to my man titties. if you're ever in Louisville and desperately need 10,000 to 13,000 calories in one meal you've got no better option than Rafferty's. their undisputed masterpiece is the Good Ole Boy Cheese Fries. a good pound of fresh cut fries topped with melted jack and cheddar cheese, huge savory chunks of bacon and, if memory serves me, a few scallions. it's served with a side of homemade ranch dressing...some of the best ranch i've ever had. the best part about it, aside from how delicious it is, is that you can cut it like a pie. just take a knife and cut you a big slice of cheese fries and douse it in ranch. perfection. this dish is what comfort food is. what feeds the soul. or at least hammers it in to a comatose existence that allows it to only beg for more of the fried, cheesy, bacony same. the rest of the menu is good too. ridiculous portions of american classics. their club sandwich is the size of 1984 toyota tercel and comes with an equally sized heap of fries, the salads are huge and delicious and not at all healthy. their fish dishes and steaks are equally as big and tasty. i know we have an obesity problem in america. i get it. it's troubling. but please don't blame Rafferty's. they're just trying to feed ya.

The Chef salad is wonderful. i just do not care for the buttery croisants. kind of kills the point of eating healthy.

When I lived in Bowling Green I ate at Rafferty's all the time. It's a franchise with a wide variety of reasonably priced menu options. Since I moved to Lou, I have stuck more to the local restaurant scene. Last night, my dad and I were in a hurry to get some grub before we went to Village 8 for a movie. Pros: We were sat pretty quickly at 5:45. A lot of people showed up after we were seated and the lobby was full when we left. Our server brought our waters and appetizer out quickly. The fried mushrooms were great. Cons: The server couldn't figure out how to spell Dewar's (the drink my dad wanted). Then he went to the bar to find out what kind of Scotch they had, because he didn't know and there was no list. Kinda hard to order a drink without knowing what they have. I told the server we were going to a 7:25 movie and wanted to make sure there was adequate time for the app and he assured me there was. After our app came out we waited 30 minutes for our food. I got salmon and a baked sweet potato. The salmon was mediocre, at best. The sweet potato was good. Dad got mahi mahi and a loaded baked potato. There was no butter on the loaded potato, so he asked the food runner for butter. His mahi mahi was tough and chewy. Our server asked if we had everything we needed and Dad asked him for butter. He ate his fish and a few minutes later the server asked if he could bring our ticket. Dad had not touched his potato and told the server he didn't want the ticket until someone brought him butter for his potato. The server said he was sorry and brought out a nice scoop of cold butter, that didn't melt at all on the cold potato. Dad was mad, but I chalked it up to the high volume of customers. Still, I won't be going back anytime soon.

Of all the "Americana" chains, this is perhaps the worst. Almost everything is fried. Soups are usually cold and salads just thrown together. Uninspired menu from the 1980's. Only go there when someone else picks it for a meeting, but never by my choice.

My wife ordered the salmon and broccoli. I ordered the cheeseburger and onion rings. Both entrees came out quick, hot, and tasty. Well drinks are $2.50 during happy hour. 2.50 drinks in enough incentive for me to visit. Our server Brandon was nice and he recommended several entrees and cocktails. Good service, good food.

I guess my review may be biased because my opinion was already bad upon entering. While waiting to be seated, I had to continually forcefully pull my feet off the sticky entrance floors. It made that terrible sticky sound when I moved as it did for everyone around us, and upon leaving, it still had not been addressed, despite the fact there were multiple hostesses around and a manager nearby at a bar top. Definitely a big yuck! I should also preface this by saying this is probably my first visit in years where I have been responsible for the check as usually it is for business outings picked up by a senior manager or vendor, etc., so I wasn't expecting a $33 lunch before tip for 2 people without appetizers or desserts. I ordered the club and a salad, which was good as expected and I had half left to take home...but I surely didn't see $13 for chicken tenders and fries that my boyfriend ordered coming...and a pretty average size portion at best. I'm not normally one to complain about prices as I'm fortunate enough to be able to splurge for good eats (my favorite guilty pleasure in life), but I'm not sure in what world Rafferty's thinks that is a good price for chicken tenders and fries at an average chain restaurant, I think I'll spend my $40 lunch elsewhere next time. Service was good, drinks were refilled promptly, food was just as to be expected, just nothing to be impressed with.
