It does seem a bit odd that this Panera on Bardstown Road has become my defacto bakery, but it has. Along with being a nice, reliable and tasty stop for a lunch, weekend breakfast or light dinner, Panera is my go to if I need to secure a Ciabatta for dinner that night or a small three-cheese Asiago loaf for some sammiches I'm going to make over the weekend. The menu falls into that growing, if not a bit predictable, "Fast Casual" category of selections but their bakery selections are solid and the seasoned staff always seems to be in a good, helpful and accommodating mood. Keep up the good work, guys.

I love Panera Bread. It's my favorite for fast food. I've visited this location several times but today, was something to write about. My 19 month old crazy kiddo and I stopped here for lunch. While eating my son knocked his plate off the table. Cindy, an employee who was nearby came over and cleaned up his mess and offered to get him another sandwich. At this same time, the manager stopped over and asked what he was eating so he could grab another. These aren't things that I expect from restaurants. If he dropped something, it may or may not be replaced. In this instance, I didn't even have to ask. I appreciate this. Thank you, Cindy and the manager (whose name I didn't get) I really am grateful for your kindness and help!

Panera has finally created a menu item that will bring this bread-adverse diner for return visits. I like their broth bowl! I gave the Soba Noodle Broth Bowl with roasted edamame a try today and I am glad I did. The soy miso broth is seasoned just right: salty enough to flavor the bland noodles. But not so salty where it should be a dipping sauce instead. There was nice, subtle heat hidden in the broth, too. I also did not get that MSG effect afterwards. It is a triumph! I wish there were more broth. The bowl came with everything described on the menu: the mushrooms and edamame were indeed roasted. They added great texture to this vegan(?) bowl. I felt great after eating this meal. The portion size is just right. I will return to try the quinoa and lentil bowl next.

I've been a Panera fan for quite a while. I frequent different locations and this one has become convenient while on my way to school. I get pretty much the same thing whenever I go. And I'm happy to say different locations still maintain the same quality. Broccoli and Cheddar Soup with a Caesar Salad. Less than $10 and I'm completely satisfied when I've completed the two. Not super huge servings or ridiculously small. On another note, this location is super busy. I made the mistake of going in around 1pm or so and the amount of itty-bitty's aka school-age kids in the place was unimaginable. Local grade school had recently let out and the line was almost out the door. Nevertheless, the staff was working diligently and my food came out in a timely manner. Unfortunately, there weren't many seating options. Not their fault though - so that's not a complaint.Overall, good simple food that my trainer won't yell about. Win-Win!

Worst delivery service ever. I used to love Panara delivery and ordered on a regular basis. Tonight I place an order at 5:20... 6:15 food had not arrived. Called manager said he would remake order and deliver because the driver disappeared. 20 mins later he called back and said they located the driver and was sending another driver to pick up the food and bring it to me. Why would I want food that was in the car for over an hour????? Ridiculous. You lost a very loyal customer.

I do like Panera for a quick and healthy (though increasingly not cheap) soup-and-sandwich combo. With their free self-serve refills on coffee and their decent wifi, I usually come with the intention of eating and then hanging out and getting some work done, but I seemingly never stay very long, as something about the place feels cold and sterile.

If you are looking for suburbia in a restaurant then you can't look much further than Panera. Soccer moms toting kids, business men in polos, and after-school teens looking for a quick carb load. Even their new location on the independently unique Bardstown Road is no exception. Suburbanites either gravitate to this familiar jewel toned commercial bakery or they're creating these people in the back alongside their gooey cinnamon buns. I used to dislike this place and their pre-fab frontage, but the last few times I've eaten here, it actually hit the spot in every good way. The seasonal fruit was ripe and seemed to be freshly made even though it came in a clear container cup, and the bagel was chewy and crisp around the edges slathered in reduced-fat (woo-hoo) cream cheese. I'm also a foam finger fan of the Pick Two, 1/2 a sandwich with soup or salad which Panera offers. I recently got the seasonal Poppyseed Strawberry Chicken salad and cup of Lemon Orzo soup. Both were really good and I enjoyed them thoroughly and made sure every one at the table knew it. They use real silverware and ceramic bowls and plates which is change from the normal styrofoam deli/bakeries in town, however, because of this, when you clear your table (no waitresses here) you have to handle the dirty dishware, clearing your plate cafeteria style. This part I could do without. The Panera-Bardstown in the formerly Ear-x-tacy location has a nice patio for you al fresco eaters which only leads to what we all want to do anyway, people watch. It also has a nice fireplace wall which lends to the coziness of the back back room which I foresee as a nice Wi-Fi spot this winter! One other note, there is only street parking for the Bardstown location. Another reason to patron Panera is their community involvement which they aren't afraid to brag about. They donate their "unsold" products to local food banks, help fund raise for non-profits, and match any cash donations made by customers. My personal favorite act of charity from Panera is the "free" bagels that greet you at the end of any Triple Crown race every year. Bagels- Thumbs up Reduced-fat spreads- Thumbs up Soup/Salad Combo- Thumbs uppity-up

I really love that the Highlands now has a Panera, The food is always fresh and made to order from the baked goods to the wonderful salads... My only issue with Panera is everytime I go In I miss Ear X-tacy that was there for years Prior... too bad they could not have combined them...

It's a Panera Bread. If you've eaten at one, you've eaten at them all. I like Panera, but one thing I can't figure out is why they keep coming up with crappy layouts for their restaurants. This one is no different.
