Best ice cream anywhere, ever. Got the Persian Nut specialty sundae but with a couple of changes: doubled it and got the new cherry instead of vanilla! OMG. Too good. Just gotta say, it is a very good thing there are none in Kansas City! One thing about this Graeter's in Kansas City - you can actually buy pints of it in Kansas City now! The only place we have found it is in the freezer section of the Hy-Vee located on State Line Road at about 76th Street. I know, it is probably better for you not to know this - it really is wonderful sitting in front of the TV eating a pint of Graeters at home in Kansas City!!

I have to preface this post and admit that I received a solid talking to about Graeter's chocolate chips before trying this place out. I have never heard anyone talk about chocolate chips with such pleasure as two of my sister's friends. They just went on and on about how they melted in your mouth and were indescribable. So, I knew that I had to order something with the chips. Luckily, Graeter's gives you multiple options -- Black Raspberry Chip (omg so good), Mocha Chip, Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Banana Chip, and probably 3 others I'm forgetting. My choice? Cookie Dough Chip. And man, was it good. The chips are literally little morsels of fudge heaven that just melt as soon as they hit your tongue and you just want to have more. I got lucky and one of my chips was the size of Texas. This flavor combined two of my favorite types of ice cream and did not let me down. In Louisville's ice cream throwdown, Graeter's slightly beat out Homemade Ice Cream & Pie Kitchen by way of chocolate chips.

The one thing I did when I left Louisville was this: kept kicking myself for why, oh why didn't I go back to Graeter's for more delicious goodness before leaving? Sigh. :( I have not tasted such creamy and rich ice creme until now! I fell in love as soon as I had my first taste of their Black Raspberry Chip! Made w/ fresh black raspberries with plentiful dark chocolate chips. How can you possibly go wrong w/ that? This ice creme alone is enough for me to fly back to pay the 'ville another visit! ;)

You can't go wrong with graeter's ice cream. It's incredibly rich, and has melt-in-your-mouth chunks (sometimes they're are icebergs) of dark chocolate, if you get the chocolate chip flavors. Most of the employees are younger, but don't let that fool you - service is almost always on point, even if you come during the "rush hour" (9pm, when the munchies hit). Plus, they hook it up with the scoops and pile on the ice cream. Even the manager doesn't disappoint with the scoops!

Very good ice cream. It's not my first choice in town, but I do enjoy the ice cream when I end up here. The ice cream is rich and creamy, but lacks that fresh, churned-in-house taste of some local places. Their ice cream flavors are traditional, and the choices are chocolate "chip" heavy, which is another reason Graeter's isn't my favorite. I know I'm a weirdo, but I'm not a huge chocolate-lover. For those who are, I've heard great things about the massive chocolate chunks in their ice cream. Their chocolate chip ice creams really seem to be their signature flair, with over half their menu consisting of chip flavors. However, this limits my choices. My favorite flavors from Graeter's are actually a couple of their seasonal flavors: black cherry (NOT chip) and peach. Unfortunately, I can only get those a couple months out of the year. Overall, it's ice cream; what's not to love? You'll find a flavor you love.

Ice Cream sandwich cookies, hard as a rock. One bite, all the ice cream in between squeezed out and still couldn't bite into the chocolate chip cookie. Went back up to the counter, to ask if the cookies were supposed to be so hard, they said yes they are. No suggestions for something else instead, no apology, no options offered, just said that's the way we make them. No to happy.

As connoisseurs of the frozen treat types, we were excited to spot this place. After a great dining experience nearby, this was a perfect addition. Traveling about middle America, we'd not seen a ICE CREAM "Parlor" since moving from "LuVuL" long ago. I thought they had disappeared. It's a clean, comfortable, well decorated, & staffed with a very good staff of servers. The ice cream was EXCELLENT, & reasonably priced. We enjoyed a leisurely "dessert" at one of their table & chair settings. We will not pass thru this area without finding a GRAETER'S "Shoppe" !!!

As far as pure ice cream goes, none can beat the flavors at Graeter's Ice Cream. While I admit, Comfy Cow makes the best sundae's in the city, if you are craving a pure ice cream cone or a simple scoop (or three!), this is your place. Obviously the Black Raspberry Chip is a must-try. But also be sure to get the Buckeye (Chocolate-Peanut Butter) and the Bourbon Vanilla Bean.

Favorite Ice Cream spot in town. They are always busy but do a fairly good job getting everyone through there. The Ice Cream it's self is fantastic, season flavors!!! Banana Chip is great and not at all a Fake Flavor (We all know that FAKE banana flavor!!!) If you are looking for a sweet treat...this should be on your list!

Banana. Salted Caramel. Together. Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan Graeter's: a second promised land, flowing with banana and salted caramel. Graeter's: a Shangri La of banana and salted caramel enlightenment. Graeter's: a Valinor of banana and salted caramel silmarils, for which Morgoth yearned most. Graeter's: a Westeros where banana and salted caramel live in harmony and Ned Stark wasn't murdered. Graeter's: like Heisenberg, I can't help but cook banana and salted caramel.

Best Ice Cream in Louisville, hands down...Have to try the Black Raspberry Chip, be careful you don't choke on a silver dollar size "chip" of chocolate:)

Peach ice cream - not much else to say! Graeter's is a local (if you consider Cincinnati local enough) ice cream place that has been around for ages. I look forward to the changes in flavors with each season, especially the peach in the summer and cinnamon in the winter. Nothing beats a freshly-baked waffle cone with a scoop of smooth ice cream on a hot summer's day, which means I have been heading here more than my fair share with the recent heat wave. Employees are good about letting you sample as many varieties as you like before ordering (good for indecisive people like me!). Once you finally choose your scoop, grab a seat outside and enjoy your little piece of heaven on a hot summer's day. I'm a fan!

Being an avid ice cream eater, I am always on the hunt for some delicious chocolate chip! I have to say, Graeter's is the absolute best! Maybe it's because I grew up in Cincinnati (where they started), eating Graeter's throughout my childhood. Maybe I just love the pink and white stripes. Maybe they put crack in it. Whatever it is, I could eat it all day, every day. It's heavenly! This particular located is nice. They have plenty of small tables & chairs and you can purchase pints and gallons of your favorite flavors to take home. They will also let you sample - try as many as you can!

My new favorite ice cream flavor? "Broken New Year's Resolutions." Also known as, "Graeter's Cinnamon Ice Cream." This seasonal flavor tastes like a snickerdoodle in creamy ice cream form with loads of cinnamon and sugar. It is best served via a generous single scoop atop a crunchy sugar cone. Cinn-full!
