My first experience with Five Guys was a few years ago on a trip back from Florida. Everyone in the car was hungry after driving a few hours. We exited the interstate somewhere in Georgia & the only thing remotely worth trying was Five Guys. In that situation, for me, Five Guys is perfect! At this location... The food is still satisfying, but with so many other burger options in the city, I probably won't be going to this location that often if at all. While the burgers are good, they definitely should have a buck or 2 shaved off their total price. One way to cut down on the price if you go as a pair... order your burgers, and split a medium or large fry. They give you so many fries that's it's useless to order 2 small orders. Side note: The fries normally come in a cup, but they overfill the cup which in turn causes fries to fill up a 1/4-1/2 of the bag. When I'm on Shelbyville Road/Frankfort Ave & need a burger, I'll pass over this place all day for Home Run Burgers & Fries or Bluegrass Burgers.

The place is very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The burgers are great. They are real juicy and large. They give you a ton of fries we weren't able to eat all of them. You will leave full.

I feel like I'm going to get thrown some serious shade for this, but, does anyone really think the burgers are that good? The fries are awesome, & the chocolate milkshake was even better. So I would probably go back for those... If they clean the place up a bit. For a place that's so new, it didn't look very clean. But, yeah. Not a fan of that burger. Throw your shade.

It's as good as any Five Guys which to me means it's a bit overrated. The burgers are good/very good and the fries are ok (I know some people love them, I don't). The worst part is it's just really damn expensive. Taking my two nieces and nephew to eat here costs about 40 bucks, where as at Chick-Fil-A it's about 20 bucks. Not really even a choice. The other mark against is it's very similar to Home Run burgers which I like a bit more, mostly because of the fries. Also they have more choices of cheese and toppings which is nice.

After being snowed in for so long I was happy to finally get out of the house and get rid of my cabin fever. I've only ever been to a 5 guys one other time in my life (and that was a long time ago) so I decided to try them out again to see if I would like them this time around and I am glad to say that I did. The service was okay. Had no problems with anyone behind the counter at all. The only problems I seemed to have were with one kid who tried to take our order away from us and that was about it. The place gets crowded after 6 so you might want to get there a little early if you can. Otherwise there will be no where for you to sit and you'll have to get take out. Luckily I got there just in the nick of time! Now the real question is: Will I ever go back? My answer: Nope. Don't get me wrong, the food is amazing BUT... There's a Home Run burgers right down the street and Home run is definitely cheaper than this place which is a home run knock off. You get the same amount of food here that you get there. Home Run is just cheaper.

I love 5 guys burgers normally! I had been going to the one in the Summit and never had a problem! When they built this one right down Shelbyville Rd from me I was excited! I have been there 2 times. The first time I watched them do the burger I thought was mine and it was not the way I ordered it. When the server called my number I told her I did not think my order was right and she told me all the ingredients I had ordered so I took it and left! Got home and not what I ordered! Went back last night ordered 2 burgers and a large fry. Got home and instead of a single cheeseburger with mustard ,pickles, raw onions and mushrooms, it was a single NO cheese, mustard AND ketchup, pickles, GRILLED ONIONS and NO mushrooms. The second was supposed to be Double cheeseburger, Mayo, grilled onions and tomato . It was Double cheeseburger with LETTUCE, Tomato, Mayo AND Ketchup and grilled onions. I ordered a large fry and got half a cup of fries and a few scattered in the bottom! Will never go back there! Will go to Summit in the future even though it is further :(

The burgers are not good they are hardly ok! Fries, what is so important with the fries being hand cut when almost all the smaller pieces are charcoaled?

Really good. Not expensive. But they give you so many fries it will sink a ship. But I have to say they were the best fries I have ever had. Great place!

I have passed the new Five Guys several times recently but never stopped in. So I read some of the reviews here to get an idea of what they had and the prices. Several reviews mentioned that they are expensive for a burger place, so I pulled up the menu. Guess what...NO PRICES. What's the point of putting a menu online if there are no prices??? I don't understand this practice, especially in this economy where some people may want to know prices before they frequent an establishment. I would like to try them but now I'm really curious. No prices on the online menu really makes me think they know they are expensive so that's why they don't publish. For this reason I am giving Five Guys 1 star.

First off big fan of the guys, had burgers in 5 different states. But Bathrooms are a disaster. It's 32% outside it shouldn't be the same inside, I don't have the grill to warm me up. Not major but cheeseburger should have the cheese melted. The burger not bad but I suggest that cooks go to Indy to see how to do it and lady at front find a job that makes her happy.

Food- Was pretty good. Fries were yummy, burgers were- well, pretty good, shakes were pretty good too. I asked for bacon in mine (that is an option!) but detected no bacon. Service- Counter person was helpful and informative, explaining all our options and sizes. The food came out fast enough, but the milkshakes took forever. My husband was done with his burger before his shake came out. Price- SO not worth it. 3 people had burgers and shakes and shared a fry for $40. We can get more for much less at several other places. It was about on par with Steak n Shake, only the shakes were half the size of Steak n Shake's and the price was much higher. Parking- not much. Tiny parking lot that's odd to get out to the street from. Oh- I saw another reviewer mentioning peanut allergies: Warning, do not even step IN the place if you're allergic to peanuts. They had crates with bags and boxes of them as you walk in- like, that's the decor or something, but you can grab them to eat too. It was weird.

Really good burgers and fries, and really, really expensive for what you get. No vegetarian burger so I can't take my daughter there. They do have toppings they put between two buns and call it a vegetarian sandwich, but it's just topping and not at all good. Parking is very limited and difficult to get in and out of the lot when it's crowded. I don't think I will not go back even though it's walking distance from my house. Again, very good burgers and fries but there is another burger place near by that is just as good and lower priced. Plenty of parking there too.

They should tell you a regular burger is 2 big patties. But the toppings were fantastic at no charge. Also, the fries are great, essentially the same as Penn Station, right down to adding a handful of extras to your bag.All in all really good and everything is fresh.

When I'm in the mood for a big greasy burger, this is my favorite place. The regular cheeseburger is a double-pattied, cheesy, greasy mess of goodness. The toppings are free and classic - you're not going to come out of here with a gourmet burger. A burger with toppings ends up being huge. The cajun fries are a must. The seasoning is so good you don't need any sauce for them. A regular order of fries is enough for four people. They fill the fry cup, then dump at least as many fries in your bag. The service was adequate. Our burgers were ready in about five minutes. The price seemed reasonable. Two of us ate for around $20. More expensive than a drive-thru burger, but it tastes better. I have nothing to complain about with Five Guys.

I love a great burger, and will try any place in my quest for the perfect patty. The great weather this Saturday gave me an opportunity to ride my bike up to my local 5 Guys, a place that I hadn't gotten a chance to visit yet. Bonus points to this location for providing a bike rack in the front, where I could park my set of wheels! Although it's located on busy Shelbyville Rd, this location is set back from the street a ways and has some great outdoor seating. I scoped out a table before stepping in to place my order. As for the grub, I got a little bacon burger in a lettuce wrap and a drink; I skipped the fries this time, mainly because I wanted to sample the burger and had been warned that a better name for a small serving of fries is "huge". All toppings are free, so I added some tomato, jalapeno peppers, onions, hot sauce, and mustard to my patty. The drink station is one of those Coke dispensers with a touchscreen, so it has almost an endless variety of beverages to choose from. After grabbing my drink and getting my burger (took just about 2 minutes to make), I headed outside for my first bite. Yum at first bite! The patty was juicy, flavorful, and a taste and texture that screamed 100% real beef. A juicy tomato, crispy onion and tang of hot sauce and mustard rounded out my perfect bite. I tried to savor it all, but must admit that I inhaled it. With a great location, outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful weather, and fast service on a tasty bite, this place has my vote for a great burger!

This place brings a smile to your face. I had forgotten they had opened a Five Guys in St Matthews.

I ordered to go. Our order was speedy. No problems. The parking lot is small. Plenty of food. Allergens Beware! Use of peanuts and Peanut products. this does not effect me, but that is what yelp is for. Just to let the community know, if you are a nut-free family stay away. besides that, this is good food. Fresh cut fries, never frozen. The joint just really reminds me of Johnny Rockets, without the roller skates and cheese.
