I eagerly anticipated the opening of this restaurant since Famous Dave's (or whatever that place is called) took away the only other Oriental close by. At first I concluded that it was decent...pretty par for the course fare. I only went for lunch and it is a great value. $5.25 for the lunch special including eggroll. And it is a huge helping. Then my wife and daughter started getting dinner on nights that I had practice and they really liked it. It has gotten to the point that we eat there about every 10 days, if not more. This past Saturday night the kids were both out for the night and we didn't really feel like going out so we called them with a take-out order. It was then (OK, I'm a little slow sometimes) that I found out THEY DELIVER!! Not only do they deliver, but they do it quickly and the food was piping hot. And this was the night of the UK/UL football game. From my call to dinner at my door took 18 minutes. Sorry pizza delivery people....you've been trumped. China Cafe is my new #1 go to place! Oh, and did I mention that Saturday's nights food was delicious!

Sorry about the review but it will be generic. This location is like 50 others I've been in. It's a standard lower cost cookie cutter place. Same menu, same food, same quality. The state of the dirty dinging room however is not standard. There are too many of these stores to put up with a dirty place. I may in the future just walk in to see how it looks, maybe not.

They are ALWAYS very friendly and fast! We've never gotten anything from them we didn't like.

Definitely not the best.. The PuPu platter is bogus, as are the chicken wings. If you get a dish it's not so bad. I would say no on the apps, but fair on the dishes.

I'm really sad to post this because I like the food. I usually have it delivered but I chose take out tonight, so it was my first time in the actual restaurant. I encountered the RUDEST employee. Rude to me and rude to her co workers. I wish I asked her name (tall thin with long hair) because she needs to leave that place. She obviously doesn't enjoy her job. I will not be returning to China Cafe.

Easy online ordering, delivery faster than most. Food is always hot, good and the driver is so nice.

Food - always hot and tasty. From the General Tso Chicken to the Mongolian Beef; it's all good! And you definitely want to order the chicken stick appetizer. Delivery Service - may be the fastest in the world. I live pretty close, but there are times when the food shows up so fast, that I wonder if they are waiting on me to call. :-) Dining in - I have never done it, but given the size and lack of servers, I would keep this to carry out/delivery for the best experience. Overall - I can't wait until my next order, the food is always delicious.

Great scallops with garlic sauce and a lunch price you can't refuse! I've never had a bad experience at this place, food or service.

A big meh for this place. Pretty standard American Chinese food. They do deliver , so if I'm in the mood for Chinese at work this is the place. They are typically pretty fast, and the food is fairly priced. I have the sesame chicken, which can sometimes be a little heavy on the vinegar, and fried rice which is always pretty good. I would never go out of my way to eat here, or really even recommend it. But for what it is it's a solid place to eat that hasn't let me down yet.

Incredibly rude. Refused to explain menus. Hung up on me tot attend a presumably more important client. Interrupting while I was attempting to speak. Kept referring to me with boredom that they manager would be in shortly and I could take up my complaints, with him before Hanging up un me

I was heartbroken when my favorite restaurant (Liang's Cafe) closed. We drove around and found this place. There's no waiter service, just a counter. Lunch specials from the board (including soup and an eggroll) are $4.95. We had egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, and Kung Pao Chicken. The soup was fine, but nothing special. The rice was a strange yellow color--like maybe it was supposed to be flavored with curry--but it was dry and sort of unpleasant. My Kung Pao Chicken was okay, about on par with mall chinese food, I would say. I wouldn't say I'll never go back, but this definitely won't replace the perfection of Liang's in my heart.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly.
