I work in an area of town that is a little bit barren on culinary finds, especially ones of the more local variety, as I'm not necessarily one to frequent the usual chains. And likely, you wouldn't be reading this if all I wrote about is another McDonald's location. Angio's is not far from work, within a few minutes, and in the Buechel neighborhood. You can tell it is a local institution from the regulars who pop in, and the friendly staff who work the tables. Stopping by for lunch with a couple of my co-workers, I found it a nice change of pace albeit fairly basic when it came to food. A good price on a personal pizza that is loaded with toppings, but nothing that really expands my horizon. Although, I have eaten quite a few different things so they'd really have to work it to surprise me.

Based on the reviews and what the menu said about fresh ingredients, I was pretty hopeful when I sat down. I had a small deluxe pizza and was quite surprised to find a lot of moisture under the crust in the middle of the pizza. Like almost swimming. Maybe the result of stuff melting in the oven and no harm-no foul. But the pizza itsell was the very definition of "meh". Absolutely nothing to distinguish itself. Maybe I'd have been happier with a simpler pie. Wish I'd have liked it better.

Not sure why this is 4 star pizza because I don't think it is. With that being said, it's not terrible either. I am definitely not a pizza snob and can enjoy a good frozen pizza at home, but this place just didn't do it for me. The BBQ chicken was good but the other specialty pizzas just didn't taste like cheeseburger and taco like they were supposed to. Ok prices and is edible but not even close to some other places in town.

We had a great surprise birthday party for my cousin here and the restaurant was super helpful. We had a bunch of cheese sticks, beers and water set up for everyone to eat from before she got there. Then there was massive amounts of pizza to choose from and everything was very convenient to get to. CHEESEBURGER PIZZA!!! Get it!

Great pizza and friendly service. There is a great lunch menu as well. Salads have real bacon as the bacon bits proving they care about ingredients. Could use a little sprucing up in the place but the food is great!

I'll keep this review short as sweet... The individual(one person) pizzas are delicious and for the price, they are a bargain!

I recently bought the groupon for Angio's. I had never been before nor had I even heard of it but I figured my husband and I are always up for trying new pizza places and with the groupon we wouldn't be out too much if we didn't like it. I'm really glad I decided to buy this groupon! We went this past Saturday and we really liked everything we had. The groupon covered an order of cheese sticks and a large pizza. The cheese sticks were very tasty and not greasy at all. They came with piping hot marinara for dipping which I particularly appreciated because all too often it seems like these types of things get served with luke warm or even cold marinara which is just not as appealing as having it properly heated! For our pizza we went with the deluxe, their version of supreme, minus green peppers. I was very glad that this pizza included green olives in addition to black ones. Most places supremes don't seem to and I often end up requesting that they be added or swapped for the green peppers that neither my husband or I really care for. I really liked that not only was it no big deal to leave off the peppers but that the pizza was exactly as we ordered it when it arrived. So often simple special requests are overlooked. The pizza was delicious. The crust was crisp and the cheese was plentiful but not overwhelming and all of the toppings seemed to be good quality. If you're a fan of the pizza from Bearnos or Wicks you should definitely try this place. They have the same style of pizza but I actually liked it better than what I've had at both of those competitors recently! Apparently this place used to be a gas station and you can tell because the awning for the old pumps still sits in front. The parking lot is big but not marked with lines so parking is somewhat helter skelter but don't let that deter you! According to my mom the former gas station started serving pizza many years ago in place of the typical hot dogs and such that most other gas stations do and they have now embraced their place as a restaurant rather than a gas station. The interior is what you would expect from a hole in the wall. It's nothing fancy and could definitely benefit from some paint and sprucing up but with the great pizza they serve the decor certainly wouldn't stop me from coming back!

Best pizza in the city, it reminds me of northern ohio pizza. unfortunately I can never eat it...... Their never open !!!!! I would give a 5 if I could eat it. Close to early, stop delivering early, closed on Sundays, closed on the #1 profitable day of the year for pizza places..... Super Bowl Sunday! Please hire a few people that like making money and open up on Sundays, he'll I cook for a living, I'll do it.

I found this place on Groupon and it was my first time eating there. It's a nice sized building that looks as if it used to be gas station or convenience store. It has a small town diner feel that I can appreciate. The pizza and cheese sticks were amazing. It was definitely not what I was expecting.

The pizza tastes delicious. We ordered the Deluxe pizza (their most popular pizza). The toppings were mushrooms, black olives, onions, pepperoni, green peppers. We substituted banana peppers for green olives and Italian sausage for sausage. I am disappointed because Angio's continues to decrease their pizza sizes while raising prices. I am ok with one or the other, but not both. The taste is exceptional and the service was good, but my disappointment stands because I don't feel as if I am getting good value anymore.

Ate dinner here last nite. My friend and I shared large Cheeseburger Pizza. It was real tasty with lots of cheese and onion and meat. Pleasant enough atmosphere. Good service. Hoping to return to try their entrees such as Chicken Parmesian and Lasagna. August 1st. My third time here. My lunch was spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. $5.99. Very tasty. Good service. No complaints. I'm already making this a regular stop!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
