Late night dinner here the other night ---very good fare, at what is like a steakhouse and otherwise fine eating establishment. Nice decor and very friendly service --thanks to Chad for being informative and efficient. The rib eye steak was served properly, medium, and it came with A1 sauce. I remember a time when a restaurant would say that a steak simply didn't need steak sauce, but here you are actually asked if you want some. Wondering whether they are more interested in pushing this product or whether they really should develop their own steak toppings --a cabernet sauce, some sauteed mushrooms, etc. That would certainly make things more classy. The price --$15--was right too too. Served with a fat baked potato (hold the cheese and bacon) and some steamed veggies, the steak was a solid winner. I also wanted to try some of their buffalo wings, so I got a mini order. Turns out it was 2 for 1 happy hour time still, so I got a double order. The wings were delicious --meaty and well cooked, bathed in a buttery buffalo sauce that had a wonderful vinegary taste but not too much heat. These are absolutely not the healthiest things to eat on the planet, but boy were they good. (It was either this or Buffalo Wild Wings, by the way, but that place is too sports-bar-ish for me and not enough of a sit down place with white cloth napkins.) In any case, this place had the TVs running too, with UK basketball keeping the crowds entranced and loudly reacting to a winning basket every five minutes. This and the Winter Olympics. It wasn't a distraction and it's refreshing to find a restaurant, unlike ESPN Zone, that focuses more on what's on TV than on what's on their plates. Finally, the dessert was to go --a "Brookie", a concoction of coconut chocolate cookie/brownie that was topped with ice cream and thin Hershey's chocolate syrup. An overload? Maybe, but all in all this was a very pleasant experience during a night on the road in eastern Kentucky one snowy night.

Fan for sure! The place reminds you of a Buffalo Wild Wings with all the TVs but is definitely a step up as far as casual dining goes. The service was good and the food was great. Prime rib was spot on, seasoned well and tender. It's been a long time since I've had a proper prime rib. The prices are right in line to make about anyone happy.

Got to Rafferty at 3:30 PM by the time waitress put our order in it was after 4:00 she comes back to table and says or sorry I have to charge you our dinner prices now. The computer won't let me change it.. This place is ran by kids. I won't be back

We eat hear frequently when visiting Lexington. They have great salads and the hot bacon and honey mustard "House Dressing" is a must. The prime rib is the reason we go. It is the best anywhere. All of their meals are good and you won't be disappointed.

April has been my bartender for many many years and she knows just what I like and how I like it. Its a reg lunch whole for me. Local meats, good service and a to go tea each time. Once a week I say I'm in the door.

Always delicious American food, always clean, and the Rafferty's teamwork service is always refreshing!

Love to eat here. The prime rib is excellent. The service is great too.

This poor restaurant has been going downhill for months. They either need someone in charge who understands the food business or to just zip it up and move on to the restaurant cemetery. First off, this visit was my second in a short time. Neither visit warranted a decent review. My steak was undercooked both times (no apologies) and good customer service isn't included in the barely edible meal. I'm not surprised the Nicholasville Road location shut down. I look for this one to do the same. I'm not sorry. I'd rather see a quality establishment in its place. Buh-bye Rafferty's.

Have been going for years. They recently changed the menu slightly: removed small versions of apps and salads and JACKED UP the prices. Same quality, higher prices and less flexibility... Fail!

Standard American fare but very well prepared and presented. Excellent service and extensive menu in comfortable setting. Portions are huge and ingredients fresh. Service is best in the bar area. They have some excellent salads if you want a light lunch. The French fries appetizer is wickedly yummy and their chicken finger salad is the best in town.

Food is good. Drinks are good. Eating in the bar area was not good on our last trip. The staff was eating in there and complaining A LOT. There was only one table of 3 people not griping about their jobs or customers. The worst was the on staff actually walking by the off staff complaining about customers/tables. I worked food service, don't complain about annoying customers infront of other customers. Ever.

Really good American restaurant. I love their prime rib special but they also have many other good dishes including a great chicken salad if you're looking for something a little lighter which comes as a salad or w/ croissants. They have a great bacon and honey mustard dressing which is a must try and if you like cheese fries they have really good ones here. Always like the service here and there is a bar inside too.

The food is ok, typical chain trying to change something that is better left alone. I had the Cesar salad with chicken, they added Cajun seasoning to the plate which changed the overall taste of the classic Cesar taste. The kids Mac and cheese is not what most kids would associate with it and after just a few minutes on the table became hard and gummy. The chicken fingers for another child were over cooked almost to a point of burned. I really wish they would go back to what they did best... Also as a final note - the service the last few times I have been has been sub par... Pay attention management people on here are agreeing that you are slipping

Came here with a coworker and sat at the bar. The bartender came up to us and ordered my drink. As she was doing that she asked if we would like to try half off appetizers. I said yes please. I got the bacon and cheese fries and my friend got fully loaded potatoes. Both which were soo good. I also got a burger that was pretty good. Over cooked it a little. Over all for two people it was only $30 for 3 drinks, food and tip. Will be coming back down the line.

I've been a customer for YEARS but not anymore. Service and quality of the food have deteriorated so much. Health Dept inspection reports posted by the door offer details of some pretty serious issues, I think.

We snagged a spot Saturday morning out on the patio. It was a beautiful day and the waitstaff was very friendly. I adore chicken salad and theirs was decent. The croissant rolls were fantastic. Hot, fresh and flaky. Husband got half a club and fries. He was pleased. We're not fans of chain restaurants but this place surprised us.

Love the fresh made dressings and quick service. Baked potato soup is so good. Great lunch combos, too!

Never ate here before. From Wisconsin and trying places we don't have . Husband had Prime Rib Sand and I had chicken tenders with Sweet Potato. Both items were great. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Manager came around to check on things also. This place would be high on our list for repeat visits but we are going home tomorrow. Would love to return and try other things on their menu.

The service here has gone downhill. I have been there twice in the last week as this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The hosts & hostesses don't even smile when they "greet" you. The server we had today didn't even speak to me, and I was paying the bill. . .not too smart! Not to mention it was so long before she came to pick up the tab that we had to go flag someone down to find her so that I could (finally) get back to work. We probably won't go back for awhile.

Good restaurant to go to for all your sports needs on a Thursday night. Only thing I did not like about the place was the food. Ordered nachos and they did not give me any salsa. Good thing I was too distracted by the Wisconsin vs. Syracuse game to care. Yea yea...I could have asked. But usually waiters ask you if you want anything with it.

Came here with our family of six while visiting Kentucky. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Our waiter Justin was excellent. He greeted us and got our drink orders and came back frequently throughout to ensure that we were doing fine. He continued to fill our drinks and just was an overall attentive waiter. The food was very good. The croissants were fresh and sweet and yummy. My son enjoyed his steak immensely and my younger children lived their chicken strips and fries. My chicken ranch wrap was very yummy as well. Wonderful atmosphere of sports as we all relaxed after a long day. Will definitely go to another one.

I live on the opposite side of town so I don't get here super often, but I do love the salads. On my most recent trip, I tried the Chicken Finger Salad which was GREAT. I'd highly recommend it. I've always had good service here and can't echo the other complaints on Yelp in that regard. The only downfall I'd mention for this place (which isn't their fault) is that it gets crowded and LOUD during lunch and dinner times, to the point that it's almost impossible to have a conversation. Because of that, wouldn't recommend a business meeting, date, or phone call over a meal here.

  • Jim N.

Great lunch with the family! We had chicken salad & croissants, soup, salads, fries, grilled cheese & club sandwiches. All excellent; good service & reasonable prices sealed the deal. We'll be back!

    (4)
  • Amy W.

I am consistently underwhelmed by this restaurant. I ordered the nachos and they were swimming in some liquid cheese sauce. The toppings were plopped on top and there was very little meat included. I have had their chicken fingers on a number of occasions and they are usually dry.
