The food is pretty delicious! Great steaks and lots of menu options! Somewhere you can go for a date or being the whole family.

Look I have tried this place again and again, mostly because when friends come to visit they have read somewhere it's amazing. No, it's average and there are WAY WAY better steaks and food, and service in Lexington. The pixie stick martini is delicious, so is the crab Rangoon roll, however the wings have gone down hill, and honestly I just feel this place is a glorified chain now. If you want steak, a good steak, one that ACTUALLY tastes good and not, OK, got to Tony's or Blue Heron. The first time I brought some clients here, the food was meh, but we had a good time, until we left. The it took a turn for the worse. We had paid out bill, tipped very well (the girl was awesome, but had to leave, so we paid and enjoyed our last bottle of wine) but as we walked back to the trucks we were chased out by the bartender screaming at us to pay our bill in front of a full house of patron sitting at Harry's outside bar. It was embarrassing and he was rude and threatening. Apparently his friend was the other waitress and I guess wanted a tip for us just sitting there.....not sure what really happened. We went in to talk to manager, but the 20 something a-hole was rude. We left and had not been back in three years. Then, my friend from NOLA came in, and really wanted to try Malone's, so we went. The crap Rangoon - yummy, the martini - delicious, however when the salads and baguette came out we could not get our hands on silverware. Our little waitress was busy, but three people were asked if they could get us silverware. So, by the time I walked into the restaurant and got silverware the salad was warm and the bread was hard as a rock. The salad tasted like lettuce floating in a sea on mayonnaise, with bits of real bacon to save the day. The baguette was a loss, we could have used it to bludgeon the Rowan country clerk , the manager came over and apologized about silverware asked if we wanted something but then never came back. My steak was not good, I had the petite sirloin... the lobster mac, boring. My steak had a strange flavor, but I eat mostly 100% local grass fed beef, and this is not. My friends filet, she enjoyed but had wished we had gone to Tony's, her crab leg was great, her side of mashed potatoes - meh. My point - there are better restaurants in Lexington, which serve local fair, better food, and have better service. For that reason I am done with Malone's. next time I have clients or friends in town who want to come here, I'll just drive to Tony's. However if you want to sit outside, enjoy a drink and have some apps, Harry's/ Malone's is good, the high-tops are nice, and if you want to watch a game there are T'V's everywhere.

I believe the previous commenter with a bad experience who gave the deviant one star review had just that: a bad experience. Malone's is clean, classy, and the food is always good. It's pricey, but it's worth it. The location for this Malone's is close to the airport, Fayette Mall, and, for those with/who are high school students: Paul Laurence Dunbar High School.

What?! I've never reviewed this Malones?! This is literally my favorite restaurant in Lexington. Maybe I didn't want to share about it because I didn't want it to catch on. Who knows, but here we go. This is one of the closest restaurants to Keeneland and it stays crowded during the Spring and Fall meets, so if you're planning on trying it around those times, schedule your reservation well in advance. Reservations aren't required at any point, but if you come on the weekends without one, it's usually about a thirty minute wait (during non Keeneland periods). When you walk through the revolving door and straight into class, you immediately get the feel of the atmosphere. If you're feeling more of a sports bar atmosphere, you can choose to sit in the Harry's part of the restaurant. Harry's is actually another restaurant in itself. Both Malone's and Harry's have separate menus. Both of which you can order from whether you choose to sit in the Malone's area or the Harry's area. It may sound a bit complicated, but it isn't actually. So, I'll also mention the third restaurant option within the place, it's Aqua Sushi. The Malone's menu consists from high priced steaks to reasonably priced sandwiches. I'm not a beef eater anymore, but people rave about their steaks. My favorite thing that they serve is the Lexingtonian salad. It's a bottomless, ranch drench lettuce, tomato and bacon concoction. Notice that I said that it's drenched in dressing, so if you don't like a lot of dressing, I highly suggest that you ask for your dressing on the side. A Lexingtonian comes with all of the dinner entrees and arrives before the meal, usually shortly after the bread and butter. It's an upcharge on the lunch menu though. The lunch options are basically the same, just smaller portions and cheaper prices. The lobster mac and cheese is another thing that I like there. I don't often order it, unless I'm up to splurging or rewarding myself with a carb fest. The jumbo shrimp is also great. The fried chicken meal is actually a massive order of fried chicken strips. If you're looking for Lexington's largest order of chicken, here it is. The wait staff and management are top notch here, as with every Bluegrass Hospitality Group restaurant. Yes, there are several of these groups of restaurants in the area. Last but not least... the courtesy shuttle van. It's free and operates during dinner hours... as long as you're located within 15 minutes from here. If you're not within 15 minutes, chances are you're 15 minutes from another Lexington Malone's location though. yelp.com/biz/courtesy-sh… I wish I owned stock in this place!

Excellent meal & service. Table had sushi, steak & chicken. Everything was excellently prepared and arrived quickly for a busy Saturday night. Elizabeth, our server, was knowledgable, offered great suggestions and also kept our glasses full & table cleared. We made a reservation, which I strongly suggest. Spicy tuna roll is spicier than I've ever had and one piece did it for me. Crunchy Tuna roll was excellent, as was the crab Rangoon appetizer & soft shell crab roll. Ribeye was aged & prepared perfectly. Highly recommend this for a surf & turf meal.

Delicious! Stopped in Lexington for a weekend and tried this place based on the yelp feedback. Fantastic. Coming from NYC, we can be tough critics re steak. The NY strip was seasoned perfectly and charred just right. Excellent. The buffalo chicken quesadilla and potato skins were equally yummy. Fast, friendly service. What a great spot. And it's basically 3 restaurants in one. Malone's, Harry's and Aqua sushi. Tons of space. Perfect for couple or for a big group. Definitely would recommend.

We've been to Malone's a half dozen times now. The first five visits were great. Excellent service, good drinks, wonderfully prepared steaks, good side dishes and a nice atmosphere. They have a wide selection of dishes, but you really should go for the steak on your first visit. There are a wide variety of preparations and toppings for the steaks including all the major cuts. I'm partial to the dual filets with bleu cheese topping. The Sushi bar can provide some interesting rolls to go along with your meal or be your meal. I skipped the steak on one visit and had "Cal's Chicken". It was flavorful and excellent. On the most recent visit we were let down a little bit. The restaurant was quite loud and our party of 5 were seated at a round table in the middle of the room that could fit 8. By the end of the meal, we had folded down the table leafs so we could hear each other speak (and still had plenty of room). Our drink order was a bit messed up. A dirty martini was incredibly salty (more than should be expected) and an ordered Gibson was delivered with olives since they had ran out of onions. To their credit, they sent one of the staff to the store to get some onions. But probably should have cocktail onions in stock or at least asked if a different drink would be preferred rather than delivering the wrong drink. My steaks were great, but another's Prime Rib was dry. The Lexington salad, broccoli, asparagus and baked potato (loaded) sides were great. The Mac and Cheese was a letdown (dry and not very cheesy). We decided against dessert. Interestingly, someone called the next day to ask about our experience (not done for any of the last 5 visits). A nice touch, but really didn't express any concern when I reiterated the above other than "I'll tell a manager". I haven't heard back and don't expect to. I plan to return to Malone's (the food is usually excellent) and I hope the above issues were just a one-time event.

My sisters both went (one still attends) UK, and my parents recently moved to Lexington for their retirement. Every time I go to visit, we go to Malone's. And now I look forward to dinner there each trip! Living in Boston, we don't get steaks of this quality with out a hefty price tag next to it, so this is a real treat. I have yet to have anything that wasn't delicious. I love that we can get fresh sushi with our juicy steaks, and the Lexington salad is always a good idea. I also love the oysters Rockefeller. The service is always great and attentive, and since my family eats late (9-10ish) we never have a problem with being seated. Can't wait to go back!

I love this restaurant so much! The food is great and perfectly priced. The staff is very kind and caring and always stepping forward to help. The Cesar salad is highly recommended by me, it has a perfect dressing to lettuce ratio. You will definitely be seeing my face back here soon!!

We went for a family dinner and got a great server Andy as well as some great food. The sushi was fresh and very ample. The prices were reasonable and my niece out in her 6 cents in to the meal. Nice spot and good food!

My sister goes to UK, so during move-in weekend we got dinner at Malone's. I am not a huge fan of steakhouses; however, this place did not disappoint! It had menu items for everyone! The service was great. It was our waiters first night, so he was being trained. Although it was his first night, he did a great job. He was very attentive. You would not have known it was his first night if he didn't tell us. As far as the food, everything was delicious. I had the shrimp tempura as an appetizer which was amazing. For dinner I got the Alaskan king crab and that was also delicious. The atmosphere was also nice. This is a great restaurant that is definitely worth the price. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Why 4 stars? Because my surf and turf was a treat. --- --- --- Sometimes I like to pretend that I'm rich and order things like surf and turf. I don't know if it's because I want to feel better about myself, or if my stomach is truly making the decisions over my brain... but it happened again here at Malone's. There were a couple of mix-ups with some confusion over our order, but nothing a few minutes of patience couldn't fix. My food was wonderful, and Malone's was a great way to end my first trip to Lexington. I will have to mention, with full disclosure, that something from this meal didn't quite agree with my stomach. Technical difficulties did ensue very shortly after I finished eating... but maybe it was just my brain and stomach wrestling over who is in charge of the decision making.

Family of six went for a birthday dinner & it was great. Got there a little early for our reservation, only to discover that we were booked across town (panic). No problem, the manager got us seated only 10-15 minutes later & the food was excellent. We had shrimp cocktail, salads, soup, fried shrimp, steak & Thai Chicken Salad and everyone was happy. Price was reasonable & service was outstanding. We will return.

Our favorite place to dine for special occasions. I love the atmosphere, love reading all the signed menus on the wall and the food is delicious. I can't say enough good things about this location and about the awesome staff.

I think the food is overrated but I can understand the appeal. Atmosphere and drink menu are the best qualities. Service is also good.

Be sure to make reservations during this time of the year. I was with a group of 8 other women for our monthly meeting. We got our table right away and the two waiters took down our orders. This waiter knew everything on the menu and was able to answer our questions. Our salads came to our tables pretty quickly and they even got our special ordered salads done correctly. We didn't have to wait long for our main entrée's to come out too. I was extremely pleasure with the service we got this restaurant.

My expectations with this place are always too high. Tonight I ordered the $59.99 '10oz. cold water lobster tail'. I was served a bleached, ammoniated, freezer burned, mushy way less than 10 oz tail. I expected so much more for 60 dollar entrée and sent it back. Oysters where flat empty dead flaps of grey matter masked with blue lights under ice. Asparagus was the size of my fat thumbs, cold onion rings, amateur staffing, and no bread. Disappointed again. Malone's charade of being a high quality steakhouse and restaurant sucessfully continues.

I've been dining at Malone's since 2002 and have had almost always had a fantastic experience in my large sample size (approximately 100 times). The quality of the food is impeccable and is as good as any major steak house, yet the prices are more reasonable. The service is almost always great, but not quite as consistent as the food. I think the restaurant gets so congested at times that service gets a bit slow - it's fine if you aren't in a hurry, but I would go in there with the mind set that you are going to be there for an hour at minimum, and maybe even more if it's your first time. The steaks are the go-to with Malones, but you can never go wrong with anything else on the menu. I always enjoy the original Malone's as well (Tates Creek) but the other ones that I have eaten at are just as good. It's good to know I can get a high quality dinner when I am in town in Lexington visiting family! I've traveled the world and eaten at many good places and Maline's still ranks high on my list!

Went last night and set on the bar side called Harrys and ordered the two 9oz. filets with chimichurri which came with a salad and one pound baked potato the salad is probably one of the best i've ever had if not the best . The bartender was very professional and always aware of everyone's drinks and carrying a conversation when he could see that it was permitted . Atmosphere was nice and warm even when doors were opened to the outside temperature being frigid since the patio is enclosed in glass during the winter they have wonderful heaters. No complaints on this visit money well spent.

Malone's Prime Rib or Sirloin are my favorites. If you are not too hungry, is great potion for two. The stakes I only want to give 3 starts but the 4th star I gave is for the pretty drinks, the caribbean mojito is quite pretty and taste right (right among of sweetness and not spice, very fun and sparking), the dessert is good, brought a whole cake back to share with friends. Haven't try the sushi bar yet.

Gross. If this is Lexington's idea of a good restaurant than I'm convinced that the residents are not very cultured. The times I have been there I have been less than impressed. Typical cheesy stark house menu, nothing special about preparation of the cheap ingredients. I had to send my steak back twice only to just keep it but not eat it. The 3 restaurant concept it poorly execute and the environment is drab. Sick.

Went here for a large family dinner and it was great all the way around. For such a large bustling restaurant, the service was personal, helpful and spot on. And the food--which ranges from sushi to steaks to salads --and combos available for many of the offerings which is such a plus--was all well prepared to order and pleased everyone at the table.cant remember what the house salad is called, but it is bottomless and for our large group was served family style what a plus. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner--service, ambiance was wonderful and the noise level was very manageable , and food was spot on.

This is the first place we took my mom when she flew into Lexington. The food was good however a little pricey for the portions. Service was slower than expected. It took my husband a long time to just get a beer. We might need to try a different location

Still my favorite restaurant in Lexington. As you can tell by my other reviews, I am a big fan of steak and Malone's did not disappoint. I have been to over 30 steak houses just in Chicago and while would not be the best there, it would be very respectable and do well (and is better than any steakhouse in San Francisco). I had the bone-in fillet, which was prepared perfectly. Nice size, good flavor. Had it with asparagus that was also done perfectly. We started with a crab Rangoon roll that was interesting and tasty. Overall, the sushi options compliment the steak very well. Service is also perfect. Very helpful and on top of everything without being stuffy. Excellent experience.

Wow,I never give chains five star reviews but this was the best prime rib I've had in Lexington..I also didn't have to pay for it so..it might be four stars but who cares. If you've got the cash to blow just eat this.I also had two Bulleits on the rock before (rock, one big rock of ice) so I might be buzzin and I was super hungry..but it was great and the service was great so yeah five stars.

Last night was my 4th or 5th time at Malone's; I live in San Diego, CA. I have to say it was by far the BEST dining experience yet! Ironic because the restaurant was super busy and working on a 60+ min wait for walk ins! It was a gorgeous evening and I am pretty sure EVERYONE who was at Keanland decided to dine at Malone's! Let me be clear; my prior dining experiences were not bad by any means, last night was just more delish! I was able to find a seat at the bar (perks of dining alone while traveling on business!) in the midst of a large crowd! I strayed from my usual dish and ordered Filet Mignon with fried shrimp - it was amazing! The steak was cooked to perfection and the fried shrimp were so large and flavorful! I ordered my baked potato with the "butter they serve with the bread"! I am a HUGE fan of the Lexingtonian salad, even though I am not a salad fan! The service last night was great! My water glass was never empty and all of my needs were attended to. Even though the bar was several layers deep I never had a long wait for any request - including my food! I was very impressed! Malone's is a must have while in Lexington! I am sure I will be back again!

I have been to Malone's on my trips to Lexington. My family enjoys the atmosphere, food and the terrific service . THe steaks are great! Lean and tender cooked to order. The desserts are worth going for. We also had sushi . Fresh and plenty of it. Recommend it highly!

Consistently bad service/good food. It's a toss-up. We eat here about once a month, and often bring out-of-town guests, but we always have to warn them in advance about the bad service. When you arrive you are fawned over by a server and server's assistant, but once your order is placed, you're on your own. The food is generally delivered by someone you've never seen before. Ask them for steak sauce, another drink, or anything and they will smile, agree, and disappear from your life forever. Your server will not come back, ever, until you're able to flag them down after 20+ minutes of waiting for the bill. (Or just waiting to ask for the bill.) Last week we ate in the bar, hoping for better service there, but had the exact same experience. It would be funny if we weren't paying $75 to $100 for dinner. The pros are the food - consistently good steak, good though unimaginative specials, great burger, delicious salad, etc. Just please - PLEASE - train your staff. Two visits ago my steak came out well-done when ordered medium-rare. That's just a mix-up and can happen anywhere, but I couldn't find a server for 15 minutes to correct the error. By this time my companion has finished his meal, his drink, and was pretty much ready to leave, while I still had no dinner. I once visited the hostess station to ask if they could have someone bring us our bill, because we had been waiting almost half an hour. They then had the nerve to try to upsell us a dessert. It goes on and on. We keep going back for the food, and hope to one day figure out if they have a good waiter we could request. I hate to give a good local company this type of review, but again - please train your staff.

I really liked Malone's. It was a little weird with the, I think, three restaurants in one. But the food was good and we really enjoyed ourselves. I had a filet and it was cooked to perfection. The plating was nothing impressive...just a big white plate with the sides in a little dish. But there was no way to complain about the food itself. It was delicious and I would return in a heartbeat. The staff was really nice and we never felt like we were wanting anything. All in all a great restaurant. A bit on the pricey side, but still absolutely delicious.

I've eaten here several times over the years & have mixed feeling about this review. Malone's has a little something for everyone, however I'm always a little less than thrilled with my experience. This could be because we always come with a big party for special occasions. There is yummy bread with garlic butter comes before the meal. On a recent trip, my reservation was lost- we had a big party, 10+, my food / sushi came out wrong, and then part of it was bad the second time. Never got a drink refill and several times other ppl had to ask for refills. Service was simply not attentive to level you would think having two servers assigned to yr table would be. I should note that UK was playing that afternoon so maybe the "third string" people on staff just weren't with it in general that day. The manager was nice and very apologetic to comp the birthday meals but I will certainly think twice before coming back. I have to say that the sushi is never quite right, the miso comes with the meals and not the salad unless requested. My brain knows that its less than a good idea to order sushi at a steak house, but my heart wonders why offer sushi at all if you're always going to f' it up. My tip is to stick with the classics dishes and I'm sure you'll have a very good time. A family favorite is the bottomless Lexingtonian salad. Personally, I'd rather have some catfish at Ramsey's lol.

Malone's at Palomar is my favorite restaurant in Lexington. My wife and I have made several visits and they never disappoint. Appetizers are great on the menu. But the sushi is the best I've ever had. Always fresh and executed very well with great flavors. The Chicago & Crab Rangoon rolls being our favorites. Steak entrees are wonderful, perfectly cooked and again, full of flavor. I personally enjoy Oscar Style with a loaded baked potato. The Swordfish Casino and Salmon Picatta are so good it's hard to decide between a great steak and those dishes. And for dessert, besides my own homemade creme brulee, they have the best in town. The apple crisp and chocolate cake are worth trying as well. If it's a busy night, I will say that it gets quite loud in the dining area, though. The staff are polite, not pushy but can sometimes lose track of refills. Other than that, I love this place. Their consistency keeps us coming back for more.

Really, really good food for the price. The Lexingtonian salad, which is complimentary with your entrée, is really good - as is the fresh bread and butter. I highly recommend the filet medallions and the gruyere potato croquettes. Order them. You'll thank me later.

I feel like anything above 3 stars would be overrating this place but 2 wouldn't be fair. It is one of Lexington's most popular social restaurants. Been here many times. Had the fish n chips on my most recent visit. Expecting cod, got swai (cheap Vietnamese, farm-raised semi-crap fish). Service was excellent on this night. I have seen a lot of steaks cooked way off at this location (At least three times I have ordered medium, and got WELL, for example.) I've also had some good, very fun meals here.

Great food at decent prices. Had the sirloin and it was cooked perfectly. Nice seasoning on the steak and tender. Mac n cheese was super cheesy. We had the chocolate chip cookie for desert, compliments of the house for being first timers from out of town. Cooke was fresh baked, warm and oozy with goodness. Ice cream melted as we ate the cookie making it that much better. Will come back again when in town.

Empty glass of wine. Empty glass of water. Steak that tasted old and not fresh. Not impressed. A very disappointing evening. With being one of the top steakhouses in the US they might want to step it up. No one, not one person from their staff asked how the meal was and if we enjoyed our time there. Over $500 bill with tip included I was not a happy camper and you might have known this if you had more people interested in your customers and not flirting with the waitresses this might not have happened.

Disappointing. The food was good, but based on the hype in other reviews and advertisements, I expected more. The service was very rushed. Given the quality if restaurant that this is billed to be, I expected to be able to finish one course before the next arrived, but that was not to be. We started with the crab Rangoon roll, which was very tasty. Our salads arrived soon after and before we'd finished the starter. The Lexingtonian is lettuce, tomato and bacon with ranch dressing. Good, but nothing special. We had filets. These were cooked very nicely, but not outstanding. I would explore other Lexington restaurants before returning to this one.

THE MOST TERRIBLE HORRIBLE STEAK EXPERIENCE EVER!!! First, my petite filet was raw in the center, not medium rare and I almost choked on a piece of crab shell in the king crab on top. Then my husband's filet was cold and raw. We sent them both back and they came back burned to a crisp. My husbands filet was still raw! It was sent back again and was so terrible that he could not even put a fork in it. This was the second chance for Malone's. A few months ago I had a similar experience across town with a raw steak that was sent back three times. However that manager made it right, this one did not. He comped my $8 appetizer and offer us a crappy dessert telling us it was hard to get a thick cut of meat done in the center and that there was often shell in the crab because it was freshly pulled from the shell. That was a sorry excuse if you ask me. I will not go back ever again.

What a unique concept! Three restaurants in one building, and you can order from any of the three - Malone's steakhouse, Aqua sushi, and Harry's bar. Prices range from less than $10 to $20+ dishes. Our two swrvers were attentive, too attentive they checked on us every few minutes! Atmosphere was romantic. We'll be back!

Truly delicious, but it can get a wee bit pricey. There are more financially managable options on the menu, but if you want steak (which is what they are known for) plan to go home with your wallet feeling quite a bit lighter. The house dressing for their salad is my favorite. And if you have room (or even if you don't...it's THAT good) be sure to try "The World's Greatest Dessert." They may not be overstating it with this name. It's huge though. Plan on sharing....

Probably the best restaurant I have been to in my life. I am quite serious!!! Their food is consistently wonderful. It starts with their blueberry iced tea. Sweet with a hint of berry flavor. Next you get hot bread fresh out of the oven. The spread that comes with it is heavenly. It has green onion, cream cheese and butter whipped together to make spreading easy. Their salads are awesome! The Lexintonian Salad tastes like a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich without the bread. Their Blue Cheese Apple Salad has a poppy seed dressing that I love. I get this salad every time and don't even like to eat blue cheese! If you get it with the blackened chicken on top it just makes it even better. Their bar area is decorated with a racing theme with plenty of TV's to see all the sports channels. Their steak is divine. I had the pleasure of trying a fillet with a bourbon sauce. It melted in your mouth. Unfortunately it was a special that is not on their menu all the time, but I can't say enough about the top quality meat at this restaurant. Malones is also apart of Harry's which is burgurs, and Aqua Sushi. Their Crab Ragoon Roll is my favorite kind of sushi they serve. Service is always friendly and prompt even when they are busy. People say that it can be expensive, but they have a great rewards program. You save up points to get money off of your bill. Every dollar spent is a point, and once you reach 100 dollars, it equal $10 which you can use that day, or spend on a subsequent visit. If I have family or friends come visit, we go here and we always end up coming a second time during their vist because they can't stop talking about it either. TRY IT! You will not regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food was ok. Service was very poor. Waiter forgot to bring the salad, so after reminding him he brought it with the meal. One order at our table was wrong as well. Then twice during the meal we had to ask passing staff to get our waiter to come to the table (for water and drink refills). It was not for lack of staff - there were 4 or 5 waiters/staff standing in a group at the edge of the room. They just did not seem interested in engaging with their customers. It's unfortunate, as we would love to have a great steakhouse to go to nearby. But due to the service, we will not be back.

We always try to stop at Malones for lunch when traveling to/from OH from TN. Today we had soup and salad for lunch. I had the Granny Smith apple salad and white chicken chili. Hubby had Lexington salad and chili. Salads arrived first which we asked for that way. Mine was amazing. Hubby asked for balsamic dressing and was brought salad with their house dressing-so he sent back. He said his chili wasn't very warm either. My soup came out and it looked like chicken noodle soup without noodles. No beans or anything to resemble chili. It was good, but I would never call it white bean chicken chili. Mine was also lukewarm. Again, we LOVE this place but today they seemed a little off. It was just mediocre service and food.

Really good food and a nice atmosphere. Didn't realize it was set up to be able to order off of 3 menus. We started with Spicy Shrimp Roll from Aqua which was good but cut poorly (different sizes). My wife had a gnocchi special that she loved. I had the Kobe burger which was one of the best burgers I have ever had! I thought it was really cool that all 3 restaurants were available to order from...we sat in Malone's and ordered entrees off of their menu, but you have choice of Aqua (sushi) and Harry's ( bar food) too....you can sit where you want depending on what type of atmosphere you are looking for. All in all it was a great choice!

Wow. I never thought I'd ever put a 2 star on a Malones. Last night was by far the worst experience I've had. Food was bland, service was subpar, etc. We didn't get all of our food the first time around, it took forever to get our drinks and the sushi was borderline awful. My steak was decent, but not worth the $40.00 price tag. I've heard a lot of people complaining about the overall perception of Malones declining over the past 6 months. I hope they change, but I can honestly say I won't be back for a while.

I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. The service is excellent, the decor is nice. it can get a bit crowded and noisy up in the bar area, but the tables in the back offer a little more privacy. The food is very good, albeit a bit overpriced. There is a wide variety. Steaks, sushi, seafood, etc. The food is all fantastic. The bad part is the drinks. There is no nice way to say it. The drinks suck. The mixed drinks are WAY overpriced and VERY weak. I got a gin martini and it was horrible. The straight drinks such as a bourbon are very overpriced. There are no draught beers. Long story short, the food is excellent. The cost is pricey. The drinks are bad. if you aren't much of a drinker, then it'll be a better experience for you.

Malones is my to go to place for steak!! I always get either the twin filets or the 12oz and they have never failed me ! The house salad dressing is amazing so creamy and delicious! If you like lobster their lobster mac and cheese is delicious. Also their potato croquettes you can't pass up. I saw a post complaining about food their I have gone a couple of times with a large party and somebody didn't like their food or they weren't satisfied and the manager himself or head chef would come out and offer a replacement to make it right! I love how they care about their customers!!!

Met for a reunion dinner with former coworkers and had a wonderful experience! Celebrated three birthdays and our service was excellent. The crab cakes are perfect, not too much breading. They were cooked to perfected and atop a delicious green tomato. Accompanied by the traditional asparagus and the bottomless house salad, this was a perfect meal. We wanted something to share for dessert and did the famous ice cream cake. For $8.99 it was enough to feed 10. Don't miss this special event!

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant, my personal Lexington favorite. Every time that I'm in town I make sure to visit this place and they've been my family's pick for birthdays and other celebrations for several years now. I love the beautiful dark wood floors and the warm, contemporary decor. I also love the framed, signed menus hanging on the wall signed by any famous patron. Malone's, Harry's, Sal's, and Aqua all offer separate menus and exist as a group of four restaurants at both Lexington locations. If you ask the server though, you can actually order off of any of those menus from any seat in the 'house.' A couple of my personal favorites include the blueberry pomegranate iced tea, the California Cobb salad (Harry's menu), the sushi combos from the Aqua menu (with the shrimp tempura rainbow roll! yum!), and any one of their steaks. For starters, the calamari comes with a delicious sweet and hot sauce that keeps you coming back for more. Any steak comes with a bottomless "Lexingtonian" salad which I really wish I could eat all the time. Each steak I've ordered here has arrived perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly how I ordered. And you should do your best to save room for dessert. My personal favorite, "The World's Greatest Dessert," easily provides a generous portion for four people and is a delicious combination of ice cream, cookie, and cake. If you ever find yourself in Lexington, Kentucky, this place is a must visit!

Nice feature; 3 restaurants in one! Everything was well done! Oysters Rockefeller, twin fillets with BBQ and with Crab Rangoon Rolls, Calamari Salad, World's Greatest Dessert (Angel Food Cake, Black Cherry Ice Cream, Choc. Chip Ice Cream, Oreo crumbles, Caramel sauce, Chocolate sauce, Whipped Cream...Yum!)

We are in Lexington only during Keeneland sales time. During sale week, this is the place we go to at least once. We have had salad, salmon, stakes, sandwiches, fries, shrimp, etc. Good food there always. Floor staffs are excellent. They are friendly, efficient, and accommodating. We have seen a couple hosts who were not too happy to be there (I guessed one was a manager, unfortunately... ) or just not a front of the house personality maybe. But a good atmosphere in the dining room, being welcomed at the table by wait staffs and their excellent service, and of course the good food, are the reasons for 5 stars and us going back there every time we visit Lexington.
