This restaurant was next to the hotel we stopped at for the evening. The girl at the front desk told us to "go out the back door" to find it. We are so glad we did! The service was wonderful - everyone was friendly and fast. The food was delicious, I had the shrimp fajitas but the BEST was the pitcher of margaritas we had. They were amazing, best I've had in a long time. Nice back patio too and if you have kids they have a little fenced in play area off the patio.
We lived on the west coast for 10 years and developed an appreciation for good Mexican food. This place is excellent, we have been twice already and since we are moving to La Grange, we will become regulars. the polo Mexican and crane asada tacos were fantastic. the bean and rice sidecdishes are basic but VERY tasty.
El Acapulco is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants of all time. It's an Oldham County staple. Growing up in the OC, I've probably eaten here several dozen times. Some weeks, my sister and I would come here 3-4 times. The food is excellent. I could drink the queso. I almost always get the chicken and cheese quesadilla, which is served with grilled chicken, not the shredded crap you get from some Mexican places. The quesadilla is perfectly grilled with a nice crisp, and full of gooey, melty cheese. The service is just as spectacular as the food. The owner, hosts, servers are all extremely friendly. It's like as soon as you walk in the door, you're part of their family. Everyone remembers your name and knows your order by heart. They always ask about my family: "How's your dad" or "Where's your sister?" They are truly some of the friendliest people around.

The artichoke tomato soup and ultimate grilled cheese are fabulous!
Love love love the food here. Always a crowd which speaks to its good eats! Try it, you'll love it.
We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday before the lunch rush. The place is super cozy and has a hometown feel. I ordered the tomato and artichoke soup and the pimento grilled cheese sandwich. I was not impressed with the soup. The soup seemed bland. However, the grilled pimento cheese was amazing. No seriously. You should order the grilled pimento cheese sandwich. The bread was a golden brown toasted sourdough and the pimento cheese was creamy, melty and so tasty. Everyone else seemed to enjoy what they were having (except the soup). Over all, this is a place I would go again, just make sure you go early or you will wait in line.

I had to try the 6 inch meat ball sub since I've never tried it before. So I tried it for lunch today. It was very good as most of their subs are. I even took and extra one home for dinner tonight. The fresh baked buns are excellent especially the cheese flavor. I've always thought Subway had the best sandwiches and this time they did not disappoint.

How can you not like Wendy's? Quick stop in this morning for a biscuit and coffee. Wishing it was lunch time so I could grab one of those juicy burgers.
Dirtiest Wendy's I've ever seen. Trash on carpet. Smashed fries, drink cups, paper and cup tops all over the floor behind the counter. Food was fresh because staff was so confused they make food as they go. The girl who was supposed to be making fries wanted to do everything but her job. The best part is the staff interaction. It's like the funniest reality show except for the Chrisley Knows Best. Fortunately, the manager came in and took control!
Worst service ever. THE WORST. don't stop here if you have anywhere to be in the next couple hours

Hometown Pizza La Grange gets 5 stars, that I know. --It may be because the food is fantastic (half Joe's Special, half Buffalo Chicken on a thin crust pie, trust me on this one). --Or it could be the fact that it personifies small town U.S.A. with a crew that acts like (and sometimes is) family and solid community ties. --It might be that the ~$8 lunch buffet is amazingly cheap for quality grub. --It COULD be because you always end up with leftovers that feed you for days. --Alright...that last one may just be me and my eyes-that-tend-to-be-bigger-than-my-stomach. :) Either way, when someone suggests "Hey, meet me at Hometown" I feel like I'm about to go somewhere special. And that, my friends, equals 5 stars in my book.
Good pizza. The maui maui is great.
Tastes like frozen pizza :( I've been here about 6 times in the last 7 years. You'd think I'd learn after the first two or three. The pizza is just plain dissapointing. Some of the locals are nuts for this place - I have no idea why. The people that work there have always been friendly - that's a plus. But good tasting food is a must. The last time I went, my wife had a a buy-one get one coupon for the buffet. Honestly, I won't return unless its a 'get one' coupon.

Went here the other day, the service was a little slow. Food was ok but not great. The cinnabons are pretty good though.
