New China restaurant is perfect for an individual who loves Chinese food, and is looking to get full off of great tasting food. The lunch and dinner buffets have a variety of food selections that can be eaten in the restaurant as well as taken out for on the road eating. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they are open seven days a week which is very convenient for travelers. My favorite things to order here are the chef specials. Two of my favorite chef specials include the orange flavored chicken with rice, and the sesame chicken with rice, which are only $7.25 each. You will love this Chinese restaurant that just recently had a grand opening. I just ventured here by mistake and I think this place is worth the drive, and one of a kind.
Great selection! The lunch buffet is m-f until 3:30 and is really ether eat value. However, if crab legs are your thing, they have them on Friday and Saturday nights.
I absolutely love New China. I went to school with the owners son, Xin, and let me just say that this place is amazing. The honey chicken and tiny potatoes are so delicious. It feels cozy and you are always greeted with a friendly face and hometown conversation. I don't live in Jackson anymore, but I miss this place so much. Everytime I visit, I eat there at least once. My mom and whole family loves this place. They each like different things there. You will be satisfied after you leave. You can tell that the owners really have put their heart and soul into the food and the service. I recently heard that someone opened up a place to compete with New China. Its some asian place. However no worries, because that new place is horrible. Ive heard nothing but bad things from people who have eaten there. From top to bottom, there is just no comparison. New China is great and you will not be disappointed.

I just love buffets but they all taste the same to me. But I was very shocked that I didn't repeat this statement after I ate at the Asian Buffet. The owners of this Asian Buffet informed me that they have not been operating this place for that long and they already have regulars. I am not surprised by the owner's statement because the food is always fresh, there is a grill master who makes some meat items right there on the grill for you, and they have a chocolate fountain that you can dip fruit in. I am definitely grabbing some friends and dragging them down to this establishment so that they can experience the amazement I had, with their own stomach and eyes. You can come too :)
It may have just been a quick stop because the other group members were complaining about how hungry there were, but it was well worth it. This is a small restaurant that is just starting up but the food was great and the service was really good. They had many different options on what you could eat which make a group very happy, because it fits most everyone's eating habits. This place may be new but I expect for it to stay around a long time even if it is just in a small town. I would go back again just because I love having a wide variety of food and being able to satisfy the whole group in one setting.
The buffet is full of food items to pick from and will meet the demands of any asian foods fun. From fried and steamed rice to a variety of sources and meat to choose from. There is also a section with fresh vegetables and fruits for those who like their plates with something green or prefer to have a salad along their food. Nice place, nice food- enough variety.

Dang place is never open sign says 7-7yet it's closed WTF! And in Jackson there is not much here what a dumpy little town!
The Old Country Inn restaurant is perfect for those looking for a home cooked meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant staff is also very helpful when it comes to recommendations on the menu that customers will find satisfying. I really like that this restaurant offers sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches for 4 dollars, a pork tenderloin sandwich for 3.50, and. A Philly cheese steak and fries for only 6 dollars and some change. It's a shame that they are closed on Wednesday's but they make up for it by being open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7am to 7:30pm. And on Sunday they are open from 7:30am to 3:00pm. I love e choices old choices this restaurant has to offer, and I know you will too.
Old Country Inn is a great place to grab a bite to eat of inexpensive home-style country cooking. You can buy a cheese omelet, which is great for me as a gluten-free eater, for less than $5. The service at the restaurant is personable, friendly, and very helpful; you won't be shy interacting with these fine waiters and waitresses. Stop by Old Country Inn for a quick, inexpensive, and quality bite to eat!

Generally when I review something - books, movies, restaurants, ETC. - I do my best to focus on the positive elements and ignore the little negative elements... However, this time around the negative elements are not so little and cannot be ignored... On the evening of May19th, 2015, I ate what can only be described as the worst tasting meal of my life. That's saying something... I've had a lot of awful meals... but this one stands King. It looked as if it would be delicious, and the presentation of my meal was nice. But it was far from nice or tasty. In fact, it made me quite sick and lead to a night and morning of hurling my guts out multiple times. The kraut on my Reuben tasted like Kim Chee - that should have been an indicator that it was rancid. The corned beef was no better - It tasted as if it had been soaking in water for weeks... This was not a Reuben... It was an abomination. The chili was below average. It was edible, but failed to be better or even on the same level as Wendy's chili... And I'm not even a fan of Wendy's chili... However, the coleslaw was decent and the only thing served that was memorable in a positive light... But the spoonful portion was very laughable... Those with me had ordered the dinner special, and I sampled it. The entrée of the dinner special was a Chicken Casserole... It was awful... A mix of stringy chicken and some sort of generic stove-top stuffing with cream of chicken soup... I noticed much of the other patrons dumping their portion of the "casserole" in the trash as they walked out. A clear indicator that I wasn't alone in the feeling of being dissatisfied by this concoction. The instant mashed potatoes and gravy were alright, but nothing to revel over. The macaroni and cheese was the plasticky kind... No flavor, just gummy, yellow and shiny. I didn't sample the roll, but considering all else, I am assuming that I didn't miss anything. The dinner special, entrée and sides were served on one small plate and the entire meal was squished, smushed, jammed and thrown on the plate together... It was chaos with no space of separation for the items on the plate, which made the presentation of the dinner special very ugly and unpleasant to look at. While I'm not picky if my food touches, a restaurant must consider those that are. And since we eat with our eyes, it's always nice to look upon your plate and enjoy what you are looking at. It was not enjoyable to look upon. The atmosphere of this quaint little coffee shop wasn't half bad. It was a welcome change for the area, as we do not have many similar settings. I had tried a Caramel Macchiato from here several months back and was moderately pleased with the latte. I sampled the Chai that my wife ordered and it had a bit more cinnamon than I care for, but it wasn't bad. We did not order food on that occasion, so that was not a negative experience. The pies on May 19th, 2015 looked absolutely delectable. I cannot call from memory what selections of pie were available, and I do not know their prices, but the portions were very generous, which only added to their appeal. They rested in a case by the cash register as we ordered and paid for our meal. I could not keep my eye off of them. However, we did not try them. The staff were friendly, and our food was brought to our table in a timely manner... They forgot our forks, but they did offer us culinary ware after bringing the table next to us their meal. But then again, serving guests food that will give them food poisoning isn't very "friendly" Altogether, Miller's Cafe miserably failed to serve worthy meals... I was REALLY hoping that they could live up to expectations. I really wanted to walk away from my meal with a smile and a great experience to blog about. I wanted to be able to brag on this local place... What we were served was very horrible, very over priced food. I give it 1 star, only because I cannot award a lower rating.
