This mom and pop diner is so charming that I wish I could live inside it. The couple that run are senior in age, and adorable in how they interact with one another and the customers. There is good reason why Goofy's is where all the locals eat. It's the best food in town. The cheeseburger that I had was so scrumptious that I had to eat a second one. They even have several pool tables for those who wish to shoot a little pool. This is a great hang out space for anyone stopping through Hyden. The vegetables and spice ingredients they use are so fresh and inviting. The crunch that my lettuce rewarded me with was a wet, juicy release of mouth-watering juices such that I did not need a single sip of pop during my entire Goofy burger experience--the moist lettuce was more than enough to whet my pallet and tickle my esophagus as I ravenously downed more Goofy burger.

This mom and pap's diner is on the way away from the central business district of Hyden. It has pool tables with all the equipment to play as you wait for your food or enjoy a round of pool after the meal. The interior is very simple and gives the ambiance of a restaurant in a small town. The service was moderate to good. It was rather slow and little interaction was made with the guests. Overall I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who would like to experience a mom and pap's restaurant.

Our group of five dropped into Goofy's for lunch today. I got to watch them place their hand-mixed hamburger meat on the grill with their own blend of spices. They also freshly grilled up the bacon and the lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle were just as crisp and fresh as could be. I got a bacon cheeseburger, soda, and heaping plate of crispy fries that was delicious for just under seven dollars. I would highly recommend Goofy's if you are ever in Hyden!

I was starving when I came to the restaurant, so I'm not sure if it was because of my screaming stomach or the food was actually good. But the food was nice for the price, I paid only $6 for my spicy chicken burger, onion rings, and a pool game. I will definitely go back there if I go to Hyden again.

This is the hot spot for locals. During the time we were in the restaurant, several county officials came in and got carryout orders. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with large fries and a Sprite. I was expecting a ten dollar total, but it only came out to $6.75. The food was very good, especially for the price! I would definitely recommend coming here for a quick, cheap bite on the way through town!
