This looked like it used to be a Waffle House or Huddle House. The building is a little off for a Japanese joint, but I like to be able to see the kitchen area.....versus those shady Chinese restaurants of where you have no idea what is scuttling near your fried rice. SERVICE: Excellent!!! Seriously, our server was extremely polite, kept our drinks full, updated us on the status of our food, and even profusely thanked my soldier husband for his service. No military discount though, booooo. FOOD: I got the orange chicken which had real chicken meat, not the gummy stuff. It was great, and tasted fresh. DH had beef lo mein that he said was the best beef lo mein he had ever tasted. We also got some california and shrimp rolls. They were good, tasted as they should. Although, where I knocked a star off is I've had better. VALUE: Our bill was still under $30 (with sodas) so I say they're decently priced. The only gripe I had is that they went up a dollar or 2 on some of their sushi...they also have the new price etched over the old one in pen. Sorry, but they need to come up with a new sushi menu. That shows the owner's cheapness. OVERALL: We'll certainly be back the next time we're craving decent Japanese food.

Speedy thoughtful service set in what appears to be a revamped waffle house. My friends bean curd dish was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My chicken was served over cold vegetables. The sushi looked tasty.

first off, the couple my husband & I were with were the only ones in the place around 6pm at night. 3 of us got the general tso chicken. First off the chicken was frozen, not fresh. It was already cut & the chef over cooked the chicken. My husband got the sushi & loved it. For the price it was good, but personally they need some advertising or something. They really need to redo the place. Sitting in a booth like the Waffle House is not really comfortable. The was only one waitress & she just got annoying from time to time. I get it you want to see how our food is, but I was only like 1/4 done with my drink & she would want to take it to refill it.

So good!! We were excited to discover this place after avoiding poorly rated Chinese restaurants in the area. The food was made fresh in front of us and tasted great. It's a little pricey for us, but worth it so makes a good treat every once in a while. I'm looking forward to trying out some sushi.

Great, excellent customer service. Very cost effective i started out w/ miso soup(routine), then i had the goyza they were excellent. For an entre i had the spicy tuna and the dragon rolls all were very good. The fish was tasty and firm. Only 4* cause the seats in the booths are a bit uncomfortable but i will definately return.

Completely disappointed. After reading some reviews my girlfriend and I decided to check the place out. The prices are expensive for what you get, and the menu has variety... Which is a problem. If you make five things, but make them extremely well, it's a good thing. The menu here has Chinese and Japanese. My girlfriend and I ordered a cut roll of spicy tuna to start, the steak and lobster, and the combination of steak and seafood. The sushi was okay... Just okay, and made the trip to Clarksville seem a little more worth it. The two main dishes we ordered arrived after we ordered sake (which turned out to be $20.00 and not on the menu), and were covered in some thick sauce more akin to Chinese food than Japanese food. The sauces were too sweet and covered the natural flavors of the food, which made me ask myself "what is this hiding?" We were starved, so we dug in. Now, when you order steak and lobster you are expecting more than one small piece of lobster, and yet that's what we got... And I ate it! I felt so guilty! If I had known it was the only piece of lobster I would have let my girlfriend have it. For more than $20.00 and being one of your most expensive dishes, your portions and quality should be much higher. The other dish tasted like we could have gotten it from a Chinese take out place. So disappointed. Add to that the mediocre and almost rude service, the crappy menus with hand written prices, and a bill totaling over $70.00 I was extremely disappointed and felt like I had been ripped off. For that I could have driven my girlfriend and I to Clarksville and eaten at a far better Japanese restaurant and had money left over. I really hope that this is a wake up call to the ownership. Just because you are in a small town is no excuse for crappy food, I have eaten many places in Hopkinsville and can say they were very good. This restaurant was not one of them. Not to sound bitter, but if I could give a negative star I would.

Stopped in on our way through town, and had a FABULOUS meal! The lettuce wraps look so good, I had to take a picture--and they tasted just as good as they looked! Hubby had the mo shi chicken. It looked like burritos on the plate, but very tasty. In fact, we purposely routed our return trip through Hopkinsville just to eat there again! Have to debate whether to try something new or savor the flavors we had last time!

Thanks to Yelp, we discovered this wonderful place to dine. We ordered an old favorite from home--Honey Walnut Shrimp, and we were NOT disappointed. Their recipe for this gem of a dish was totally fantastic--with delicate flavorings and the shrimp was prepared and cooked to perfection. We also ordered a very tasty California Roll for an appetizer. We received very friendly and accommodating service and would genuinely recommend this restaurant to anyone loving Japanese or Chinese (they prepare both).

This review is purely based on the service. It was beyond terrible, but at no fault of the server. I should add, the ONLY server, that they had working there during a lunch hour rush. I saw how great the reviews were on multiple sites, so I went during my lunch, which is from 12-1, like many peoples; I arrived there around 12:10. I was seated by the chef because the server was way too busy taking other peoples orders. I gave my drink order and waited about 5 minutes for my drink. I thought, OK theyre busy and shes by herself. By the time the server finally got around taking my order about 15 minutes had passed. She was practically yanking the menus out of my hands and walking away as I was trying to tell her what I wanted. I had a question about something on the menu and had to yell it after her as she sped away. Once again, no fault to her, there were about 40 customers and she was the only one working. Definitely poor and stingy management decisions are being made there. After I gave my order, I watched as numerous people came in for pick up orders and ended having to wait 20-30 minutes themselves. One lady had actually called in her order 30 minutes before coming in and still had to wait another 15 minutes. I had to wait around 30 minutes for my sushi roll to come (which is the only item I had ordered), and by that time my lunch break was long over. The server was extremely apologetic and was very upbeat, but there really is no excuse for service this poor. I ended up getting back to my workplace 20 minutes late and having to explain to my boss that a sushi restaurant held me up. You can guess that he was not pleased. For myself, it really doesnt matter how good the food in a restaurant is if I'm going to be pissed off by the time I'm actually eating it. I definitely would never recommend this place to anyone. It is way more worth it to drive to Clarksville for a quality sushi restaurant that respects its customers and staff.

This place is amazing! It's a sit down restaurant, though they offer take out as well. If you like sushi, this is the place to go around here. The sushi is fresh, and always delicious. But they offer regular meals as well. Their regular cuisine is the best I've had anywhere. I would certainly recomend this place to any oriental cuisine lover.

I love this place. I always order a spicy chicken fried rice, with added broccoli & zucchini. The lady that works there is amazing.

Great food! I've had two chicken dishes and both were great. Large white Breast chunks and not sauces were delicious. I also had the dumplings equally great. I can see the points on some of the other reviews. They have 1 chef and 1 server usually. Chef cooks the food as ordered so it takes a while to get after you order it. Do yourself a favor and try it.

I've eaten here a couple of times. It's mediocre at best. If there is more than 3 or 4 tables full...Don't go here for lunch. I ordered sushi... Sat for 40 mins and never got food. Ended up just leaving.

This place is kinda like a Japanese restaurant meets a diner. And I really like the concept - except I don't like the diner booth seating. But there's something satisfying about part of the kitchen being open in the restaurant and your chefs preparing food there for you to see. But I have to say, I was really disappointed the calamari was all tentacle. Not a ring to be found. I personally feel one should be warned of this. A tentacle here and there is fine. Nothing but tentacles kinda isn't my thing. But.... I came for the sushi, though and I was impressed. The next closest place to find sushi in this area is Clarksville (at least according to Yelp), so if this place isn't for you and you want sushi....you'll have a long drive.
