This is the best place around to buy seafood! They always have a wide selection and good prices. This is the only fish market I have ever found bluegill at. They have almost every thing you can think of! I'm hoping they have live crawfish in the spring. Anyway, this is a really good place to buy quality fish.

Excellent BLT. Food with a home made appeal. Service was friendly. I really loved the log cabin ambiance too. Wish they were open for breakfast. Will visit again when I'm down that way.
Homestead Restaurant is located in an old log house with good country cooking and friendly folks. A must when visiting Hopkinsville!
Excellent service, good food. My husband got a ribeye, was perfectly cook as he requested, moist, no need of any kind of sauce to eat it. I got a fried cat fish, excellent, my daughter a super big hamburger, she is so picki with food, but she ate all. Everything was home made, worth every cent.

First time to Hopkinsville and this place didn't dissapoint! I had the side salad and mushroom risotto. Heaven! The salad had fresh greens with sliced green apples, candied walnuts and this amazing tomato bacon homemade dressing. SO good. The mushroom risotto was great as well, big pieces of mushroom, asparagus, and peas. Added plus, its one of the healthy menu items and is less than 650 calories too. My second visit I had the Vietnamese tacos and warm spinach salad. Both were also good, but I prefer the risotto. The tacos were a bit messy to put together. However , the beef tenderloin was very tender. And the salad was good, but the regular side salad was also better. Had more flavor and I don't think I'm a big "warm salad fan"...my salad should be cold. Atmosphere is laid back, little on the fancier side. You could go here to meet a friend or take a date. They had a nice drink menu as well.
So I took my boyfriend here as a "see you soon" goodbye dinner before I leave for three weeks of work. We both dressed up and were seated in a sweet booth next to the bar. The seating is so beautiful with its hard dark wood and low lighting. We were seated right away and in no way felt rushed even though we showed up at 9pm. The bar tender was extremely helpful and sweet asking about our drink wishes and appetizers. I got the Hendrix, which was not sweet (how I liked it) with cucumber fuzed gin and touches of ginger. Cliff got the Manhattan and did not like it, but refused to send it back. Just too strong for him (&me) and tasted like straight bourbon and water - maybe that's how they liked it in the 20s. Not my cup of... Cocktail. For appetizers we got the calamari. At first it was beautiful but I started noticing that the calamari was not full coated or breaded and you could see the white squid and TENTACLES! maybe that's how it's supposed to be but I lost my appetite. Cliff loved the calamari and said 'that's how's you know it's fresh and they cut them up and did it right'. The two sauces were DELICIOUS - white and red. Hmmmm Main meals: I got the sweet soy pork belly with Mac and cheese and grilled asparagus, Cliff got the full rack of ribs and onion rings. As for my meal, I felt as if the pork belly was a little small and had a hard crust that overwhelmed the taste of the pork belly. To be honest, I couldn't even taste the meat because I was so focused on how hard the outside was. This was disappointing because it's an expensive meal. The Mac and cheese, asparagus and presentation was beautiful. As For Cliff's meal it was exquisite. You don't find ribs like that outside of Memphis often. The ribs literally fell off the bone. He didn't even need to use his fingers. They were delicious and perfectly seasoned and not overly layered with sauce. All in all, a great, beautiful experience. The ambiance was sweet, quiet, very romantic and took us to another time. Charlie Chaplin in the background, 'Mad Men'- esque paintings and properly dressed wait staff. The entire meal was two drinks, two entrees and an appetizer came out about $80 with tip. Well spent.
KY Brown Bake was AMAZING!!! Brussel Sprouts were excellent ( coming from a guy that hates them). Sit at the bar! Exceptionally smart regarding liquor! Don't pass this place up!!!

offsetting the small town people writing 5 star reviews of Jersey Mike's. At first I thought it was limited to Applebees, but Jersey Mike's? Really? They're good but definitely not 5 stars.
Great subs, they slice the meats when you order your meal. Good services.
Can't go wrong with this place. Always the best sub shop in town. Great customer service and a product that is tasty! I highly recommend it. And do sign up with the loyalty program. Today's visit was free. A giant roast beef and provolone was on the house. Can't go wrong with jersey mike's.

Great place! Ate at the Horseshoe Steak house with the family today. The Horseshoe Steak house has a cozy atmosphere and great food. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Niki. We will definitely come back during our next visit to Hopkinsville.
My husband liked the steak, but if you're like me and want a serloin they don't have it. The reason for the 1 star is the atmosphere. If you like to sweat in the dark while eating then this is the place for you. The bar is located in the same tiny room as the restaurant so if you want a quiet meal, forget it. I also felt it was over priced for for and atmosphere, there really isn't reason to go back. There are better places in Hopkinsville if steak is what your looking for.
Awesome burger and grilled shrimp!!! Great small talk with the bartender and cook.... Sooo glad we stopped!

Duo's is a small hole in the wall BBQ place. I had the brisket sandwich with two sides. The sandwich was a sizable portion and had a good brisket taste. It was juicy and seasoned well. The Mac and cheese (similar to a buffet style restraint) was ok, along with the fries (have a spicy coating on them similar to Arby's). The staff is very friendly and aimed to please. The sweet tea was very sweet, as it should be. Recommend cutting it with a 1/4 to 1/2 unsweet unless you want insulin shots afterwards. Only negative is the air conditioner is useless. It's very hot inside. Not biggie for me, but might be if your dressed in business attire.

DaVinci Little Italian Restaurant

Reviews:
Customer Service--A thing of the past.....A friend took me to DaVinci's one night for a date. The food was great and we enjoyed the meal. Of course we had all night to wait, so no problem. I have been there 3+ times to get a "TO-GO" order. Each time thinking I am giving them one last time to get it together. Well, believe me, tonight convinced me NEVER TO GO BACK. I had came in to place a to go order. After about 5 minutes of being there, was finally sent to the bar to place an order. To be clear, I am no one's "sweetie", "sugar" or "honey". I am from the area and have heard this before. But I do not care for someone young enough to be my niece calling me "sweetie". If it happened once, it happened 15 times. I am a customer, an adult and prefer to be treated as such. In all honesty they seemed to be trying to "smooth things over" while ignoring me. After someone finally came and took my order, I waited another 45 minutes. Still no food. When I asked the waitress (which no one said anything to me during the 45 minutes) where my food was, she told someone else "She's wanting to know where her food is." Well....Yes....It had been almost 50 minutes from the time of placing the order. When someone finally realized I was upset, they went to check. Only to come and tell me it had not been started yet. I was furious. Then...came back and stated that it was on the stove. Why did no one have the common courtesy to at least come by and tell me when it was going to be more than 25-30 minutes? I'll tell you, they were too busy talking to "sweetie, sugar and honey". After they said it would be a bit longer, of course they wanted their money for it. So I did pay, as I did not want to spend that much time for something and go back empty handed. Then, another 15 minutes later,...."sorry it took so long. have a nice night". By this time, I felt like I could have grown the crop, harvested it and cooked it myself before they would have mine ready. It would be nice if they were taking "to go" orders, if they would treat those customers with a little more respect. If the food will not be ready for an hour---tell somebody---like the one ordering it! I will admit the food is good. But by the time I received mine, I was too furious to enjoy it. I would rather someone tell me that it will be however long it will really be, than to leave me waiting and waiting and waiting thinking it will be the next order out. I would rather save my time, and temper, and go elsewhere for the meal and return another day than to be made to feel like "she can wait til we get ready to give her the order" then hand it to me and "here's your food. get out". Nothing is worth that frustration. Not to mention it is an ongoing thing when I go there. So.....I WILL NOT BE BACK. YOU HAVE LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER!
Great food and even better wine. The service was very helpful and made the place welcoming and helpful as to what you pair wine with on the menu.
Outstanding food. My husband and I shared the manicotti, a Greek salad, and ordered a couple meatballs with marinara on the side. I especially enjoyed the meatballs and marinara, which tasted fresh and homemade. The manicotti was exactly what you would expect at an authentic Italian restaurant and the Greek salad had no shortage of veggies and feta cheese. I deducted one star for location, which seems out of the way. I would highly recommend if you're in the Hopkinsville area.

Osaka Japanese Restaurant

Hopkinsville, 42240
Reviews:
This looked like it used to be a Waffle House or Huddle House. The building is a little off for a Japanese joint, but I like to be able to see the kitchen area.....versus those shady Chinese restaurants of where you have no idea what is scuttling near your fried rice. SERVICE: Excellent!!! Seriously, our server was extremely polite, kept our drinks full, updated us on the status of our food, and even profusely thanked my soldier husband for his service. No military discount though, booooo. FOOD: I got the orange chicken which had real chicken meat, not the gummy stuff. It was great, and tasted fresh. DH had beef lo mein that he said was the best beef lo mein he had ever tasted. We also got some california and shrimp rolls. They were good, tasted as they should. Although, where I knocked a star off is I've had better. VALUE: Our bill was still under $30 (with sodas) so I say they're decently priced. The only gripe I had is that they went up a dollar or 2 on some of their sushi...they also have the new price etched over the old one in pen. Sorry, but they need to come up with a new sushi menu. That shows the owner's cheapness. OVERALL: We'll certainly be back the next time we're craving decent Japanese food.
Speedy thoughtful service set in what appears to be a revamped waffle house. My friends bean curd dish was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My chicken was served over cold vegetables. The sushi looked tasty.
first off, the couple my husband & I were with were the only ones in the place around 6pm at night. 3 of us got the general tso chicken. First off the chicken was frozen, not fresh. It was already cut & the chef over cooked the chicken. My husband got the sushi & loved it. For the price it was good, but personally they need some advertising or something. They really need to redo the place. Sitting in a booth like the Waffle House is not really comfortable. The was only one waitress & she just got annoying from time to time. I get it you want to see how our food is, but I was only like 1/4 done with my drink & she would want to take it to refill it.

Reviews:
Ok, this place is gross! The restaurant itself had no ambience whatsoever, no Latino music, nothing about the decorations even suggested Mexican. And it was dirty, too. A lot of the tables weren't cleaned off and it wasn't for lack of staff! There was garbage all over the floor, yuk! The only thing Mexican about that place was the wait staff, and not very professional. The fella who waited on us had an accent so thick (I'm not sure it was even Mexican), you could hardly tell what he was saying and he wasn't very forthcoming with information. You had to play 20 questions with him. Me: "What kind of cheese is in these enchiladas?" Him: "Melted cheese." Me, incredulous: "*What* kind of cheese?" Him: "Shredded cheese." Me: "Shredded cheese?" Him: "Yes." Me: "What *kind* of shredded cheese?" Him: "Got cheese." Me: "Goat cheese?" Him: "Yes." The rice is even too bland for me, in other words, tasteless! The beans were disgusting, no taste and they had put some runny white liquid on them that was, well, who knows? I couldn't tell! I asked for cheese enchiladas and got goat cheese enchiladas! Some of you out there may like goat cheese, not me! It was disgusting! Overall, I'd give this place a 1/2 star if it were possible! Yuk, yuk, yuk!!! My recommendation: Don't even go there, don't waste your money. It might be barely passable if you were starving, but otherwise, bleecccccchhhhhh!!!!!
We have been to Senor Lopez many, many times. None of us have ever complained about their food. We have always had great experienes. Friendly staff, great food and nice atmosphere. We eat here on a regular basis.
Was not impressed. Food was tasteless! Mexican food has a lot of flavor, this placed lacked. But the atmosphere is inviting and staff is helpful!
