The food was very poor in quality. I had the steak salad and it was absolutely horrible. They even added items to my salad that weren't requested, nor on the menu as an item tat was apart of the recipe for the salad. I also ordered a lemonade which tasted like sugar water. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I travel for work and am always happy to find a local spot to try out. I was very glad I found this smokehouse. I had the combo and thought everything tasted great, the meat was very tender and I didn't think the ribs even needed any sauce. Compared to other BBQ places I've tried, Big Blue definitely has reasonable prices. I also really liked the cole slaw which is something I'm always hesitant to order because I've had many bad versions of it. The food came out very quickly. The customer service really stood out as exceptional, my server was very attentive and friendly, and the owner came by my table a few times to see how everything was. I'd definitely recommend this place and will certainly come back any time I'm in Hazard.

I've had alot of BBQ and this was pretty average. Had the combo.... pulled pork was probably the best as it did have some smoke flavor, pulled chicken was just OK. The ribs were interesting, although very tender and fall off the bone, they didn't have much flavor - just plain meat. I prefer sweet coleslaw, and this was very sour. Just an average dinner.

Had the full slab of ribs, mixed vegetables and green beans. Ribs were great. Juice and tender. The vegetables were a little bland. But that's what I get for ordering them with all the other super tasty sides available. Best ribs in the area.

Big Blue Smokehouse is one of my favorites places to eat here in hazard. My boyfriend and I went there for a date and we have been going there ever since. There food is really good and the server were very nice and made you feel at home. I recommend that if you have not ate there yet to go check it out.

This place is pretty pricy. I have a fettuccine with shrimp. It tastes ok for me. I wish that they add more shrimp. The portion is pretty small for the price. The service is good. We have a group of 20 people. The food gets to us around 2 hours after we order and still pretty hot. The lady forgot one of my friends order and she drove back to deliver it to him. I'm very pleased with their service.

This place was a gem! After driving all day we wanted a nice sit down place to eat and this was the perfect spot! The locals knew we weren't from there and made us feel welcome. We both got the BBQ sandwich which was delicious and the homemade potato chips with cheese sauce was to die for! All for $14 including two sweet teas! This is a must if looking for a quaint sit down restaurant in the area. They were speedy yet friendly which was great!

I wasn't happy with the food. The steak salad was pretty weird for me. I like the vegetables side though - perfectly cooked. I guess the order of our group (20 people) and the delivery affected the food quality somehow. Nice service though. I want to give another try at this restaurant later.

It may be a little pricey by Hazard standards, but the barbecue is top notch. The ribs, the pulled pork, the brisket is all delicious and tender as can be. The sauces and rubs are very flavorful and satisfy. Service has been good every time I've been. It's a definite must stop and eat if you're going through Hazard.

My team and I were in Hazard as a part of a summer program. We ordered dinner for 20 people from Big Blue Smokehouse and it was delivered fast. I love pasta, so I had some delicious Spaghetti! The staff member was extremely friendly and agile with our requests. Great experience.

I've eaten a lot of barbecue in my recent travels throughout eastern Kentucky, but none of it was just smoked meat. Here I had a plain smoked pulled pork sandwich, and I was so surprised that it didn't even need barbecue sauce. The smoked meat was so delicious, it was one of the best I've had. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delciously smoked sandwich.

A group of friends and ordered from Big Blue Smokehouse for dinner. I ordered a chicken and cheese dish and I enjoyed it very much. The chips were a little stale, but everything else was good: including the sweet tea.

I read the reviews and it seemed to good to be true. But I ordered the ribs and they fell off the bone. I love the hot hottie sauce. Best of all, we had a party of 12 and they took great care of all of us!

Ribs are dry rubbed before smoked. Just the way it is supposed to be. My friend's steak was hand cut and he could tell it had never been frozen. I don't mine paying extra for great food, because when you get bad food and whether it was expensive or cheap, you never forget. Been 3 times so far. Had ribs twice and pulled pork sandwich once. All great. Can't wait to try their crab cakes. Word has it they are good size chunks of crab meat.
