Just to let everyone know, I scheduled another business trip to Glasgow last month. I booked for four nights then reduced my nights once I arrived because my work schedule changed after I got there. I was charged my original booking because there is a 30 day no-change policy I was not aware of. Please note this! It was not evident to me and being a frequent traveler who is used to 24 hour cancellation policies, I took for granted it was the same here. Karin was kind enough to refund me the two nights with some pleading but asking her to do that was not pleasant. Hall Place is still one of my favorite places to stay. The shower head in the Greer Room at their place on main street was simply heaven. Thank you Karin for showing me grace!! Melissa
We stayed two nights at Hall Place Bed and Breakfast and had a wonderful stay. The hosts, Gary & Karin were extremely gracious and hospitable. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served by Gary (fruit, bacon, eggs, homemade waffles) while Karin gave us a history lesson of the house. Both the breakfast and the lesson were wonderful. We would highly recommend this lovely B & B and look forward to returning in the near future. Carolyn
My partner and I were passing through Glasgow late one night and in desperate need of a bed. It was after 10pm but the owners, Karin and Gary, were happy to accommodate such last minute guests. The common rooms of the Inn were very warm & cozy and decorated with beautiful themes. Our room was gorgeous with its canopy bed and antique dressers. In the morning we were served a delicious home-cooked breakfast of eggs, french toast, fruit, yogurt and fresh orange juice. We spent some time later chatting with Karin and Gary and they shared all of the interesting history's of Hall Place and the Glasgow community. We are definitely including Hall Place on our list of stops the next time we take a road trip through the south. Thanks Again!

I love this place. I'm a supporter of non chain restaurants and this is a top one. I always get the chicken Monterey sandwich with mushrooms with an extra side of mushrooms. It's plenty big enough for two meals. I've also had the chicken tenders and fries which are equally amazing. I've never ate anything here that wasn't exquisite. The service is amazing and the staff is beyond friendly. True southern hospitality. Most of the staff have been there for years. It is a small location and can have a wait but that's part of what makes it so special. It's great for an intimate romantic date. They often have fresh flowers and candles on each table. They don't have a liquor license or offer beer but it's something that can't be missed if you are looking for amazing food, service, & atmosphere.
We arrived in Glasgow with 16 hungry human beings ready to be gastronomically delighted. This little place did that and more. What a wonderful, family owned and operated, little slice of heaven in the heart of Kentucky. From the waitress, who was both informative and helpful, not to mention extremely patient with the elder humans in our group, to the quiet atmosphere of the dining area, to the delicious and varied choices on the menu, this place truly deserves 5 stars. I guarantee, if we are ever in the area again, A Little Taste of Texas will be our destination for dinner. And, to top it all off, my wallet barely had a dent in it when we left. A fantastic value in Glasgow, Kentucky.
Visited here with my family. I am from New York and have plenty of choices for restaurants but was blown away by the beef served here. The steaks were excellent and even the burgers were juicy and delicious. Loved the fresh blueberry cobbler. Service was prompt and friendly and this has become our " go to" choice when we are in the area.

I only get 1-2 opportunities a year to eat my favorite, most unhealthy fast food chain ever. Sometimes to fill that quota, I will just drive the 4 hours to get there. On my way home from Loretto, KY (where Maker's Mark is nestled), I had 2 options on my way back. I could either become duke of the location in Bowling Green, KY for a a while, or drive through the unfamiliar territory of Glasgow, KY and get an FTR (First To Review) out of it. As you can tell, I picked choice B. Now you probably wonder why I only gave this place 4 stars and not 5. Don't worry, everything about the place was 5 stars, except getting in and out of the damn place! When traveling from the city square, Yelp had it posted on the right side of the street. So, as I looked on the right, next thing I know, I see it on the left, and bam, its too late. So easy fix, right? I just take a Uie and take a right and go in there. Wrong, only one entrance- on Main St, there is NOT one off of 31E. So another Uie (this time at a fire station). By this time, my stomach was pissed! But getting inside, it made the rage go away, like feeding an infant his first bottle. Pretty sad eh? Thats life! The food was just as great as expected, the people were friendly, and they even dolled the place up for the holidays. Most triumphant. It was clean too- another plus. One thing I did realize though it was NOT a 24hr location, just a heads up for all of you late night diners/travellers. They also do online ordering as well. Might have to go back through Glasgow sometime to check out the cool little city square and score me smore WC! Cheers!

The Especial de Mazatlan was delicious (and came in a huge portion size - three of us couldn't finish the double portion size). The server was super friendly as well. My friends and I are traveling from DC and this was a great place to stop for dinner.
Many people love El Mazatlan, it's pretty cheap, it's quick, there's a bar, they can accommodate large parties, it can be a fun environment. However, I am not a fan. The food is very greasy and not at all authentic. The chips and salsa are not made in the restaurant, therefore they're not as fresh as at other Mexican restaurants. While the service is pretty quick, it can seem like you're rushed at times. If you like cheap and somewhat crappy Mexican food, this is your place.
Road Trip. Dinner. Great queso fundido con chorizo. The Mazatlan Especial was awesome! Huge portions. Hubby does not like shrimp so we asked for them on the side and I got them in a skewer. Everything was delicious. We stayed at a B&B and the owners had recommended a different place (Garcia's) but they close at 9pm and we were there just before 9 so they said it was closed. A very kind lady heard this and recommended El Mazatlan. Oh my, that was a great idea. The decor is very Mexican, the music as well -I decided here that in the future I will also rate Mexican places depending on how many songs I sing while eating : P Our server, Aide I think, was very nice and friendly. So was the cashier, a young man. I do not remember if we were pleased with the chips, but everything was awesome!

Was in town for the night, went here because it was right across the street from the hotel. Wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing. The service was friendly and the fresh bread was epic! Couldn't ask for more!
Food was excellent. Very impressive!
Must admit a personal fail: this is my second Tim here and only one check-in! I was slacking last time! I failed to check-in as I was so distracted by the best marinara sauce in KY or the amazing looking dessert cooler. This is a nice and neat Italian mini-chain. They've got quite a few restaurants in the south east. Its a bit cookie cutter on the decor. The bar is nice and welcoming but the white walls with bare minimum coverage leaves some to be desired. But....this is a small town. Its very impressive when you take that into consideration. You walk in the door and you're mouth instantly starts watering as you pass the dessert cooler. Check the pics on Yelp....you'll see what I mean. You're greeted at your table with delicious warm bread and some of the best marinara one can find. Perfect balance of chunk to sauce ratio. I typically like my sauce extra chunky....but this is great to dip with. Vegan options are of course scarce as with all restaurants in the area. Yet, you can modify one of the many vegetarian options to easily accommodate. I don't think they have many GF options.

Definitely a go to whenever I come home on vacation. Love the food. Quick and good service. The interior is lacking which is why no 5th star. Although it's most likely due to the lack of eating in.
This place does not stack up to other Mancino's locations. They used canned mushrooms on a veggie grinder for Pete's sake. Kids meals are a decent deal. The bread here is overcooked and the toppings are under toasted. Staff is very loud and they were talking about their nuts today. Classy.
Really good sandwiches. They use garlic bread for the sandwiches. Good fries. What else do you need for a quick meal.

Wanted to try something besides all the fast food places around. Stopped in here. Hubby had the shoulder and I had the ribs. Husband loved the shoulder and the sweet potato casserole and the vinegar slaw. Said it was some of the best BBQ he has had. I don't really care for BBQ, it was okay. I did love the hush puppies. First time having them. Employees were great, restaurant was clean.
The brisket and Indian stew were really good. The shoulder was ok. Employees were all very nice. I would definitely come back.
It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very good, either. The brisket was just ok, and served on a really cheap hamburger bun, even though I requested no bun; the ribs were pretty fatty; the sweet potato "crunch" was about as crunchy as Gerbers baby food; the mac and cheese was kind of runny and bland. The Indian stew was more of a soup, but to be fair it was actually pretty tasty. Overall, not the worst ever, but we wouldn't go back. We were hopeful the positive reviews that had outweighed the negative ones were a sign this place was better than average, but alas, no.
