We found this spot while on the road. Stopped for the night and didn't want the usual chain food scene. Rodney's really was perfect. Steak was amazing good, staff was five star, and Rodney came to say hi and double check the level of "done" we wanted our steak. All around worth stopping in. Menu is filled with good taste. We will come here when through the area again for sure. Upscale yet casual...... Just really nice. Oh and the bar is well stocked including an unusual selection of infusions.

I went to Rodney's for my birthday dinner and had the most decadent meal of my life. My husband said "Order whatever you want" and I did. The special that night was three beef tenderloins with three different sauces - blue cheese, hollandaise and a port wine reduction. On the side I got a lobster tail cooked in a cognac cream sauce. That was a pure When Harry Met Sally moment right there. On the side I had a panko crusted baked potato and sauteed mushrooms. For dessert, I had the white chocolate cake with raspberry sauce - it was huge and I had to take it home. The atmosphere was classy and comfortable. It was such a delight to be out after being snowed in for so many weeks. If you're looking for fine dining in Georgetown, this is the place to go.

The best Georgetown has to offer. Incredible food and service. Top echelon dining in this quaint town. I'm eating here whenever I'm in town. Keep up the good work.

This place is awesome. The Cuban pork shank is one of the best things I have ever eaten. Mushrooms were great the rice tonight was desert worthy!! If you are ever near here, you MUST eat here!!!

If you're looking for an awesome meal, do not skip this place. There are items on the menu that are pricey, but the 8 oz burger and fries were only $13. Our waiter was very friendly and informative. He explained the featured items of the day and a bit about the history of the restaurant and it's chef/owner. Actually, everyone in the restaurant was friendly, my husband took a tour around the restaurant which was once a historical home but now is modern, with a classy touch. My food....I had $8 calamari appetizer, which was the best that I have ever had. The marinara sauce was excellent too. I added on an order of fries for $3 and made a meal out of the two dishes. The bread that was served before the meal, with oil, herb and Parmesan was excellent too. I would eat here often if I lived in the area. The people of Georgetown are lucky to have this gem.

Excellent all around. The blue cheese, bacon and cheese chips were a great choice of an appetizer Had a great bourbon and an awesome hamburger. Friend I was with has eaten here 3 other times. Only complaint is the fries or appetizer chips were not deep fried enough to be crispy. Kinda greasy really. Maybe that is the local way to eat them. Will be back and looking forward to the best filet anywhere as they advertise

Without a doubt 5 stars! I arrived late so there were only a few people at the bar. But Chef Rodney was sitting there and chatting with the customers. He showed me how beautiful the tuna looked when he got it fresh that day from a photo on his IPad. Funny, I love to take pictures of awesome food too! Everyone was super nice and the bartender makes her own flavor infused vodkas with which to make awesome cocktails. If I'm ever in the area I'll definitely stop by again ... Definitely worth an hour or two drive to eat there!

The drink menu is unique in its own right but food menu continues to follow that path as well. Tonight we had filet, beef medallions, and lamb shank. All were excellent. The presentation of each plate was wonderful. Vegetable and potato compliments were delicious, and there are many more types of compliments available. The location is easy to reach and parking is wonderful with parking in the back near the patio dining and along the street in the front. The house was converted for dining years prior but the proprietors have appointed it comfortably including a couch seating off the bar area. The TV in the bar is never too loud. Cleanliness is consistent on every level, from front entry to bathrooms. While I haven't been able to say anything but flattering compliments, I've saved the best for last. The staff. Amazing. Rodney and Elizabeth put their touches on everything, including staff selection, and that is a very good thing. Professional, knowledgeable, nice, and prompt. Always ready with a smile while doing everything possible to make your dining experience wonderful Lexington establishments have nothing on this gem.

The service was fine but the food was just average. There was only one choice for Chardonnay by the glass as well as the Cab. We were disappointed as the Yelp rating was a 5 and we feel we were mislead

My girlfriend took me to Rodney's for my birthday at the end of July. I told her I had wanted to try it because of the great reviews and word of mouth. We were super impressed to say the least. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The reservation process was very easy through Yelp, and Elizabeth answered emails very promptly and courteously. The ambiance was very nice, it had a formal feel to it, which we enjoyed since we were celebrating and dressed for the occasion. For our appetizer we both ordered the lobster bisque. We had heard great things about it so of course we tried it. Absolutely the best tasting bisque I have had. It was fresh, creamy, and that homemade crouton on top was full of flavor to complement the dish. I wanted more but knew I had a full meal ahead of me. While waiting for the main course we had the bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. It melted in your mouth with flavor. Simple, yet hit the spot wonderfully. For the main course I ordered the lamb chops. I love lamb, and not seeing it on many menus in the area I knew that's what I wanted. It was delicious. Not only was the flavor there, but you also received three chops to ensure you were satisfied, mainly because you just wanted to keep eating that amazing meal! My girlfriend ordered the Chef's Signature Pasta dish and said she thoroughly enjoyed it. Her pasta dish included a couple of surprise pieces of bacon which was an interesting addition and well received. The dish had plenty of chicken and sides were not needed. We both enjoyed our meal, the wine, and the ambiance. I was having a great birthday, but once we had dessert we were blown away...salted caramel cheesecake! I mean, wow, we were in foodie heaven the entire time we were there and left impressed, full, and happy. Rodney's did an amazing job from Rodney, Elizabeth, the wonderful wait staff, and all the personal touches we enjoyed throughout the evening. We can't wait to go back...again, and again. (I added photos from our meal to the main page)

I was expecting a great restaurant experience based on yelp reviews. I was disappointed. Yelpers let me down. Or maybe Rodney let me down. We started with crispy calamari. The calamari were tender but greasy and tasted bitter, like they were fried in old oil. (Old oil would be a problem later also.) Grease pooled on the plate. The marinara sauce served with was excellent. $8 We went on a Tuesday. Maybe they change their oil for the weekend. We chose the special, white lasagna with homemade sausage, which was raved about by our efficient server. The homemade sausage was delicious, not spicy, just meaty and tasty. However, it overwhelmed the amazing homemade pasta and delicious mushrooms. It was like a pound of ground meat and 3 little pieces of lasagna noodle. Was there any cheese in this lasagna? I couldn't tell. The white sauce that was advertised was nowhere to be found. Maybe it was just very light. The portion size was good. It was tasty. It was $25 and came with one side. We chose sweet potato slaw because we like both. It was really just raw julienne veggies with a very light dressing. Not too exciting. I had the prime beef burger because I can never pass up a good burger. The server did not ask how I wanted it cooked. I found out why. The patty was very thin. It was cooked to death, a black and grey puck. The bun was nothing special. The tomato slice was tired. It had been refrigerated! The pickles were limp and left a green coloring on the bun and onion. Gross! The burger came with fries, which had good flavor but were ruined by the old fryer grease. The fries were limp, greasy and an unappealing color. $15. I could have gotten a better burger at Cookout for less than $5. Seriously. We drank water. My wife wanted a beer but there was no beer on the drink menu, just mixed drinks and wine?????? After the disappointing meal, we skipped dessert. $51 plus $10 tip.

Wonderful setting, cozy bar and lounge area looked comfortable and enjoyable. Tables are spread throughout the expansive brick home. Excellent cocktail selection. I would come back and back just to make my way through the list. We also enjoyed a nice sparkling moscato. While I would revisit Rodney's, I expected more from a restaurant with so many 5-star reviews. Highlights are the reductions and sauces. Lows included pastas and steak. The real "meat" of the dishes were lacking. Just nothing to knock my socks off. The petite filet was fine but the macaroni and cheese was not what I expect from a southern fine dining establishment. I expect thick and creamy and instead I got runny and bland. Overall I gave this restaurant a 4 because I would certainly revisit it and perhaps try some other dishes, but just didn't feel as though the food warranted the 5-star reviews it has.

We loved it so much we had to align our travels back through Georgetown just 6 days from our first experience to enjoy Rodney's one more time. My wife was fantasizing about the blackberry sangria so we had to come back and the master chef Rodney said he would create an entire meal just for us. Wow, each course was a delight to the palate. Don't come here if you do not want an amazing culinary experience. And yes the people and the service make you feel special.

Celebrated my 71st birthday with nephew & spouse Saturday night. Table was ready, adorned with birthday tokens and a card. Drinks were great (dirty martini's), Rodney agreed to make one of his specialities, grilled romaine salad and our entrees were great! Thanks Rodney for a great birthday celebration! Dave York

Rodney's is a gem. All the plates on the menu are superb and the specials always amaze. The bar is my favorite place to have dinner because Rachael always remembers the wine I like. Absolutely the best restaurant in The Bluegrass.

The food was excellentl! Our server, Rebecca was delightful! The decor was excellent! The shrimp and scallops was one of the best meals I've ever had. All three of our deserts were phenomenal. We'll be back.

If you're in Georgetown and you're eating anywhere else, you're doing it wrong. Aged beef. Fresh pasta. Proper cocktails. Best place in a 100 mile radius.

My husband and I found a "Georgetown hidden treasure"! What a fantastic find in Georgetown, KY. Owner and Chef Rodney Jones outdid himself with his fantastic cuisine. (He's in the kitchen) Creative drinks, appetizers, and main dishes. The owner and staff make you feel comfortable in a beautifully renovated 1800's home. The food and specialty drinks are exceptional. When you visit this area, you must add this restaurant to your list. We look forward to returning.

The 5star reviews don't exaggerate. We went there after a marathon. We only pick the highest rated places, and we are HUNGRY. Appetizer of pork belly (oh, yum!). Caesar salad with some of the finest and great anchovies I've ever had. And I love anchovies. I picked the veal chop special and buddy picked the filet (which they claim is the best in town). Veal chop was superb and the filet was as well. I got the cheese grits which were a little bland. Brussels sprouts were very good. Crime brûlée was very good, but hard to be exceptional. Friend's carrot cake was great; not too sweet. If I ever return to Lexington/Georgetown, I'm coming back here. Btw service by Mallory was great and Rodney even stopped by our table. Nice touch.

Great food, excellent ribeye, fantastic infused cocktails, and wonderful service! We visited Rodney's with a group of friends after our Saturday Horsey Hundred ride, and were so happy we chose it for our annual get-together in Georgetown. We will definitely be back.

Yummy and cozy. My husband and I went here on a whim last night. It was busy so we sat at the bar between what appeared to be some regulars. The bartender was friendly, acknowledging us right away. Got us drinks, took our order, brought bread . . . the usual stuff appropriately paced. I had the prime rib; my husband had lamb. We could not decide who ordered the better meal. The panko crusted potato was a nice twist and tasty. The sauce with the lamb was savory. Both items were cooked as ordered. All in all a tasty and pleasant experience . . . We will definitely be going back to try some of their other items.

Amazing food. One of the best restaurants I have ever dined at. I had the Pork Chop and it was amazing. My appetizer was a Asian Pork Belly over noodles and it was terrific also. For dessert I had homemade Pistachio ice cream and it was very good as week. I'm in town in business and will be going back tomorrow for the smoked prime rib. Great find in a small town. Rodney personally recommended the specials.

Great atmosphere in an old house in Georgetown, Ky. Food was excellent and presented in a very pleasing manner. Service was great and the chef came out and talked to us. One guest did get his steak overcooked but it was corrected very quickly. Plan to return soon.

A fabulous evening. Food was wonderful & the service was great. I finally ordered something from the regular menu - I've always ordered one of the specials before because they are always so yummy. My 3 dinner companions all ordered specials but I had the very delicious grouper piccata. It was so good that it will be very hard to order something different in the future. Can't wait to get back there. It's such a short trip from Lexington - only 13 miles for us.

We strolled in a little underdressed for dinner but were treated well by staff. Great food--everything. Panko grouper was one of lesser priced items and was really good , so was sirloin steak Even the dipping bread in olive oil was special. Spendy, yes, but not overpriced.

Wonderful 1850's venue, service excellent, food divine. Expensive, but if quality and adventure are important, this is for you. Aerated wine! Chicken liver appetizer, a good amount...at least three larger and both crisp on the outside and tender in the center with a flavorful sauce. We both had the scallop and shrimp entre with two sides. The grits with parmesan and the corn pudding were good. Skipped dessert. Entres were about $32 each and the livers were about 9. The wines were about 10. Total for two was about $100 plus tip, but I will go back if I am in the area.

A group of us met on Saturday night to eat at Rodney's. I had the Roasted Duck and I can't begin to tell you how delicious it was. This has to have been the best restaurant I have eaten at in a very long time. Service was outstanding even though several prom groups were there. It is pricey but for a special night like we were having it is worth it.

All of our dishes were exquisite in their flavor, ingredients, and execution. Although at first we thought the portions a bit small, after a while it dawned on us that we had enjoyed every morsel and our appetite was satisfied, yet we did not feel uncomfortably stuffed or regretful. Rodney paid us a welcome visit and contributed a delightful extempore desert to celebrate my wife's birthday. The wine list contained an excellent selection and the restaurant's art works contributed to our wonderful evening. We will definitely be repeating our visit.

Rodneys on Broadway was very good atmosphere setting, plenty of wait staff, I had the roasted duck, very tasty with the port wine reduction sauce. As a complement I had the creme of mushroom, very nice. The salad was good drizzled with hot wine sauce. I was sad to have to turn down the desert, was just too full.

Georgetown was our pitstop along I-75. Rodney's on the boardwalk is about 10 minutes from the freeway on was highly recommended by hotel staff and tripadvisor. The building is a repurpose 1840 house. Pathetic interior has been refurbish and offered a contemporary atmosphere with beautiful artwork and vibrant color with architectural details from 10' foot ceiling to vintage arch wood trim. If you have a big party, not a problem for this establishment, they have several dining rooms that can be reserve for your special function on either the first or second story. Just as a note, this restaurant does not have en elevator for the second floor. The entree items range from steak to seafood ranges from $25-$35. They also have a selection for pasta, salad and sandwiches. Do ask for the daily special as the chef do try and mix up the menu. Our evening started with a cocktail of a well stock bourbon bar, calamari for appetizer and their roast duck with reduced port wine sauce and a grouper in panco crust. Both entree are offered with 2 sides which changes daily. The entree was delicious but the plating is kind of blend. The calamari with a light vinaigrette dressing was blend still crunch but not soggy. The marinara sauce that a company the app didn't help spice up the taste. We enjoy this place. I do recommend asking for a tour and check out the artwork in the other dining room. If you have time, sit down at the bar area for a night cap and you might even meet Rodney and share in some of his passion for food.

I75 boring? We are making 10 hour trip into two fives once we found Rodney's, fresh ingredients prepared by a hands on owner chef. It's more like stopping at a good friends home for a gourmet dinner than anything within 200 miles

Love this place! Terrific service, nice atmosphere in a stately old mansion, creative seasonal menu with excellent lamb chops a year-round staple. And great cocktails at the cozy bar. Pricey for the area, but the area is defined by mediocre chain restaurants. A good value overall and a wonderful find in a town not known as foodie friendly.

Fantastic! Both my sides (roasted Brussel sprouts and cheddar cheese grits) were even better than my entree. I would definitely come back next time I am in town.

First time dinner, now loyal customer. If the the outstanding cuisine don't get you the friendly warm atmosphere and staff will. I had a warm goat cheese and pecan salad with what I believe was a strawberry vinaigrette that was rich enough to have for desert . I also had the special of the evening sea scollops with a red pepper aioli sauce and fresh ground cheese grits. Rodney is not only a super chef but a great host as well!

I don't just give out 5 stars, but it was earned. My wife and I shared our anniversary dinner here, what a great choice. We had a spectacular quiet evening dinner, great service, awesome atmosphere. The service was outstanding, above average for fine dining. It was not overcrowded, cramped, noisy and rushed like some places we have been. The food was perfect, we were very happy with every choice we made. Yes, we ate too much!, that was the only problem. So for details, we appetized on an artichoke dip, fabulous. Not like a concoction you may get at a bar. I had a bowl of soup that was tomato basil with crab and mussels, it tastes even better than it sounds. Even the table bread with oil and vinegar was great. For entree, the wife ordered up the fresh seasonal vegetable plate. We were impressed with the chefs choices and flavors. I turned to the steak choices and had a wonderful petit filet, I was not disappointed. It was a perfectly prepared cut of beef. Desert and coffee were a great cap to dinner. The flourless chocolate cake she had she enjoyed and the carrot cake with bourbon glaze was probably the best carrot cake I've had. Keep up the good work Rodney and team.

I've been living in Georgetown for 10 years and have always lamented the lack of fine dining. Rodney's is the first. Pleasantly surprised to find this 'diamond' in Georgetown. Varied menu, wonderfully prepared, and fine atmosphere. My wife and I went recently and when I called to make a reservation, I mentioned that it was our anniversary. When we got there, there was a "Happy Anniversary" balloon at the table, and an anniversary card. This attention to detail on top of excellent service and food made Rodney's a memorable experience.
