It has everything I like in a bbq joint. Small homey atmosphere, clean, friendly staff, good bbq, and good sides. I went with the pulled pork sandwich, homemade chips, and onion rings. Everything was on point and I left satisfied. Im in town for a couple more days and can see myself coming back again before I head home.

Saw all the positive reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. Utterly disappointing. Pulled pork was dry, sauce was bland. Best thing about the meal was the corn on the cob (and that was only OK). Definitely not going back on my next trip in the area.

This is by far the best bbq I've had to date in ky. The pulled pork is the best I've had outside of my own. The brisket is wonderful tender and rubbed just right. And of course the sides hog fries, tater salad, bbq beans are great. If you can catch the owner and pit master when you visit he will answer any questions you have about smoking meat. I will keep going back.

This place is one of the best BBQ I've ever had. Been coming for years. When I travel I intentionally try to go to BBQ places to compare and so far I have not found an equal to Wild Fire. The owner is a kind and honest man who cares about his customers. There has not been a time that he has not visited the dining room to make sure everything was excellent. I've been able to try every item on the menu. My personal favorites are the half chicken plate, pulled pork and the sliced shoulder. I do love the ribs too. His hog fries are awesome too. And a major bonus to me is that his BBQ sauces are great too.

I really enjoy going to Wildfire. The food is great, and you get a lot for your money. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. And they have the best onion rings! Highly recommended.

If you are near the Franklin area you need to stop here to eat! Everything on their menu is great but I can't recommend the brisket enough. It is so good you don't even need sauce for it. If you want sauce they have 6+ kinds to pick from and all are delicious. Stop here and try this hidden gem! !

DELICIOUS!! A definite must stop... The fried bologna, pulled pork, and brisket we great! If given a chance I would most definitely come back no second thoughts .My husband had the smokestack (heavenly) . Overall a great quality homemade meal!... I'd show a picture but we are it all too fast

Tried Wild Fire for first time today. Why did I not know this place existed. Great BBQ. I had the Pit Combo. A sampling of pulled pork, brisket, and sliced shoulder. All were great. I liked the pulled pork best and sliced shoulder least. I also tried a sampling of their sauces, the Carolina Red is my fav but sauces are an individual taste item. Try for yourself. If inFranklin and want BBQ, try Wild Fire.

I'm from Georgia and I was in the area on business and read the reviews on Wildfire BBQ. I'm glad I stopped. They have smoked chickens, pulled pork, brisket, ham and some other items. Everything I tried was great. I had no complaints. It's a small family owned place and the people were very welcoming. If you like vinegar based sauce they got it, if you like sweet & smokey sauce they got it, if you like the XXX hot BBQ sauce they got it. Also I would recommend the dry rubbed chicken over the plain. The brisket would easily compete with the Texas style brisket. If you come eat here be prepared to leave with a food coma....

I was really disappointed after reading such good reviews, I expected more. I guess for a small town with limited choices people may find this place more appealing. When I entered and saw people with the risked sandwiches that looked really good I was encouraged. I ordered pulled pork sandwhich, beans and seasoned fries. I wanted dessert, but they don't serve any. The meat was wet as if it had been soaking in water and did not have a good smoke flavor and their sauce was not very good either. I may pop in next time through and give the brisket a try.

Good, solid BBQ. Quaint, family-owned restaurant. I was really looking forward to trying the chicken, though, and they were out, and I was really looking forward to trying the fried corn, and it was overcooked, but I still had a very pleasant meal here. It's off the road behind another business and I passed it twice (I'm not from the area), but it's not absurd.

Excellent pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Also got the potato salad, BBQ beans and turnip greens. Sides could have been better, potato salad the best of the three. Very cute restaurant, good for lunch.

Wow- this will be a regular stop for us on our way to & from Florida from now on. Love the down-home atmosphere, friendly owner, & awesome assortment of home-made BBQ sauces. We tried the BBQ'd ribs - be forewarned the portions are very large! Excellent coleslaw. Will be trying the BBQ Brisket next time.

Looking for that hidden gem BBQ joint? This is it! The fact that it's a little hard to get to makes it even more special. This isn't some new "fad" Q in hipster town USA. It's the real deal buddy. The people are good as they come, and the food is great. If you love BBQ come give it a try.

Awesome !!! Tucked away location, and some of the best BBQ I have had ever! Service and atmosphere excellent with just right amount of attention and advice. Must try!

Great place any way you measure. Looking forward to our next visit. Family owned and run with Kentucky hospitality. Even a picnic table outside under a tree for travelers with a traveling dog who likes BBQ too.

Great little BBQ place. Well worth the short drive from I 65 on 31W toward Franklin. Look behind the Pizza Hut.

  • Justin B.

Wildfire is a great little BBQ place with everything on the menu a BBQ joint should have. The brisket and pulled pork are very smokey and flavorful. I can't wait to try the chicken and smoked bologna.

Best BBQ joint I've ever eaten at. Be sure not to miss out on the spicy bbq sauce, they keep it behind the counter so make sure you ask for it. It's a perfect blend of spicy and sweet! Potato salad and bbq beans that we had with the pulled pork were awesome too. Kindest owner around, true southern hospitality.. And that's coming from a Texas boy!!!

This place is great and I would defiantly recommend it! My grandmother passed away and I called and placed an unusual catering order for her funeral visitation because I was unable to attend. (Forget the flowers and bring on the MEAT! :) Being from out of town and not wanting to ask any of the grieving family to pick up an order of BBQ, Jeff Lewis graciously offered to deliver it on my behalf!! We ordered 12lbs pulled pork BBQ and it was a delicious, hearty, and satisfying meal on a tough day for my family. The big chunks of meat and smoky mild sauce were the favorite of the crowd. Thanks so much to Jeff and the Wildfire gang for going out of their way to accommodate and to make it easier on someone else. I hope you all will help me pay it forward and treat yourselves to a meal that not only feeds your hungry bellies but feeds your soul as well!

Excellent BBQ. My favorite part was.... everything. Highlights include: pulled pork, brisket, vinegar sauce (some of the best I've had) and the potato salad. Also guy behind the counter was extremely nice and gave us a sample of the potato salad before we decided to order it. All excellent. The place is a little tucked away from the main road and the sign is not the most prominent but it's definitely worth a trip over if you're passing by Franklin, KY on I-65. Just roll down your window and follow the smell. Do it.

Their Pit Combo was smokey and succulent -- as good as I've had anywhere -- but what I really loved was their deep-fried corn on the cob. Is this a great country or what? 'Merica!

Yo, this place is great!!! The people are friendly and the food is even better!!! Get the "Dry-Rubbed" half-chicken. You will love it. The Homemade Chips are good as well. This place makes Franklin, KY worth visiting. Well, there is nothing else to do in this town anyway. LOL!!!!

I'm from NC and have eaten BBQ all over. This is the BEST ever. Unfortunately, they were out of ribs but I had sliced pork, pulled pork, and beef brisket. None better, even in TX.
