Holy crap, what a fantastic place. First time here, we ate two calzones and a plate of the loaded crinkle fries. Okay, maybe it was mostly me eating all that, but everything was delicious. Great service, good prices, we'll definitely be back.

We were looking for a place to have lunch in the area that could be kid-friendly so stopped in here. It was pretty empty for lunch on Sunday, but according to them, it gets very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings. In addition to pizza--both specialty and create-your-own, the menu has a few pasta options, hoagies, calzones and salads. There's a brief kid's menu with standards (spaghetti & meatballs, chicken fingers, etc.). We went for 2 side salads and 2 small pizzas to share for 2 adults & 1 toddler. The salads were just OK, primarily iceberg lettuce. The pizzas came pretty quickly and it was plenty of food for the 3 of us, but there wasn't anything standout about them. We got the regular crust (deep dish is also available) and it was fine, but didn't hold up to handheld eating particularly well.Toppings were a bit scanty. The service was good and it's a perfectly nice family, neighborhood pizza joint, so overall, A-OK, but not a place I would especially seek out again.

I give a 4 Star review because this is some of the best Chicago style Pizza I've had outside the Windy City. A 5 Star rating from me means that a place is the absolute best of the best, but 4 Stars is still really good! Deep dish Chicago style pizza is difficult to find around Cincinnati/Florence without hitting a chain like Uno's. If you want to support a local business that serves a great Chicago style pizza, this is the place! You also have to try the Garlic Knots! Light and crisp with marinara and garlic butter for dipping- Nom! I wish I lived closer to this place, I know I would go there more frequently!

I've been wanting to try this place for years now and finally had a chance. Ordered a medium pizza and a salad for take out. They were super fast and friendly. Pizza had a good taste but was very greasy. I laughed at the salad. 3 croutons, a pinch of cheese and a bed a lettuce that would have looked healther for a cheeseburger.

Friendly staff, great service, and just the best deep dish pizza outside of Chi-town. It is convienently located in a residential neighborhood, right smack dabb in the middle

Yesterday (March 16, 2014) I called after having a yearning for pizza and reading reviews on different websites. In general, I thought I would have a good, if overpriced, pizza. Before I ordered, I read the menu carefully. When I called in, I told them I'm a first-time caller, and I had some questions before ordering. I asked if they would make sure the pizza was fully cooked based on some reviews I read. I asked if they would recommend extra cheese for the Bourbon House Supreme, and they said no, it comes with plenty of cheese. I then asked about using the online coupon for $2 off, and they said no problem. I ordered a 15" Bourbon House Supreme with mushrooms, green peppers, and pepperoni and asked if there was a delivery charge. It's $2. I live 3 minutes away. Still $2. Okay, I'll come pick it up. How long? 10 minutes. Without the coupon, the 15" pizza was $20.08. They took $2 off. I got home, the pizza was still hot, and we began to eat. The first obvious deficiency was the lack of toppings that can be $1.75 each extra. The green peppers were diced small. The mushrooms were difficult to find. The "crust" was brown on the bottom, but where it met the toppings, it was not cooked. I believe the pizza was overpriced and substandard - especially the extra toppings. I will never order from them. Simply the worst most expensive pizza ever. One addition: This was 5 pm Saturday afternoon and it was not busy. In fact, the person said the reason it only took 10 minutes to cook was that nobody was ordering and therefore my pizza was the only one going in the oven - immediately. So being a first time customer (which they knew), I would have thought they would make sure my pizza was prepared in hopes I would return. Even if the 15" pizza was half the price, I will never return.

There used to be a Bourbon House on 18 - their deep dish pizza was by far the best pizza I'd ever had. When it closed I tried this location even though it wasn't convenient for me. Even though the first visit was a disappointment, my love for the Bourbon House pizza I remembered made me give it a second try. Service, no complaints. Both times the servers were attentive and friendly. Sadly, the pizza was not so great either time. The first time it seemed like the crust was a little raw, and the second, it was fully cooked but tough. It wasn't horrible, but not good enough to take home the leftover pizza like I normally would.

Am I in Chicago? Nope good ol' Kentucky. But this pizza sure hits the Chicago deep dish craving!

After hearing my wife's students rave about this place, she decided one night that it was time we take the plunge. We're really touchy with our pizza selections and once we find one we like, we're fans for a long time. We decided take out was the best way to go after reading about the smaller, smokey dining area. We had one of their deep dish pies and it was a better than average pizza. Now I am by no means a Chicago deep-dish connoisseur, but I enjoyed this pie. Lots of cheese and fairly generous with the toppings, it made for a pretty decent pie. In all honesty, it might be a while before we order it again since the bulk of the pie was a bit much the next morning for leftovers. But in rural Kentucky, this would be one of the pizzerias of choice!

Very good food but... Smokey! We really enjoyed the food but made our visit as this place is more like a full blown bar apose to a pizza shop. We had to hurry our meal because we couldnt handle the smoke. Service was average.

Let me tell you about the worst restaurant experience I've had, to date. I showed up a bit late to meet some friends here. They had been seated and had drinks, but had not ordered yet. I sit down, the waitress comes back to take their order. There was eye contact between the two of us, I was not wearing camouflage, and I was holding a menu. I would have assumed that would be sufficient to acknowledge my presence. She goes around the table, taking everyone's order. I'm taking a breath in order to get ready to speak, checking the menu one last time to make sure I order the right thing. I look up, and shes gone. Bolted. I try to call out to her, but she's gone in the crowd, and then to the kitchen. Flippin' fantastic. I get up and find an employee by the door, ask her to send the waitress back. She never does come back until she brings my pals their deep dish pizza, some time later. At this point I'm a little upset, because I haven't even had a drink. I very forcefully get her attention, and give my order - now changed to a simple hoagie and chips, because I honestly don't want to wait the time necessary to prepare a pizza. Hoagie, chips, no problem - I can make that in a few minutes at home. No drink ever comes. No hoagie ever comes until my buds are finished with their meal. I have to remind her again of the drink after she brings me my food. The hoagie is drenched in a "sauce", which is basically water with a slight mushroom flavor. One of the worst sandwiches I ever had. And my drink, the coke I ordered? She brought me water. At this point, I don't much care. I'm a big tipper. I usually shoot for 20% or more, because I know the service industry is rough. I did not want to leave her no tip, because that could be interpreted that I just forgot. No I wanted her to know that I did not forget, I just hate her with an undying passion. I left her 2 pennies I had in my pocket. I have never done this before, and hope I never have to again. Screw you Bourbon House. I'll see you in pizza hell - you'll be running the place.

Bourbon House is a neighborhood pizza joint that does just fine by me. Their thin crust pie is excellent and really a nice change of pace from the big box delivery places that are everywhere. I did try their "Chicago" deep dish however and was less than impressed, Uno makes a much better deep dish than these guys. That doesn't drop my rating though, because I will just avoid it and stay thin to win on the crust from now on.

Our server was really quick and kind. She was patient with me when I didn't know what I wanted. But the dough was so good- not tough or rough. I had a italian sausage, pepperoni, and bacon pizza. It was so good! I also tried their garlic knots- it was perfection! Garlic-y and buttery.. mm! Private parking lot! :)

First time here and have been missing out all these years. ordered a thin crust pizza with mozerella sticks. Sauce is awesome and the marinara for the sticks was even better. Best pizza I have ever had! if u don't like cheese much then this place isn't for you but I love it.

One of our new favorite pizza places. The pizza is very good. Topping are fresh and seasonings are good. Haven't done the deep dish but we really enjoy the thin crust. Not very impressed with the breadsticks but the garlic bread was good. Valuable coupons on the website, view menu and print.
