The name is now Ms. Becky's Place and it is worth the stop in Dawson Springs. Still remember the RC Cola from the fountain! Portions were substantial for the price. The green tomato relish was truly mouth-watering. My wife and I pulled into this place on a whim while on a drive back from Memphis to Louisville and couldn't have been more impressed. If I could score like this on every "off chance" restaurant visit I've tried, I would die a happy man.
The name makes it sound sort of like an upscale Irish sports bar or something, but it's not really like that. This is pretty much your standard somewhat run-down country restaurant, but they do serve beer, unlike every place else in town. The positive news is that the food is good, plenty, and very reasonably priced. The burgers are large and tasty, and the one-piece catfish dinner is enough for anyone who is not starving to death. We'll probably go back once in a while.
The pizza looked good and smelled good. The sauce was tasty, and there was plenty of cheese. But, alas, there was the crust... Dry and tasteless. Obviously machine-made and frozen. Not the worst I've ever had, but a "fer piece" from what I was hoping for.
