Burke’s Bakery & Delicatessen

Reviews:
Burke's is a multigenerational family-owned business, which is located on Main St. in Danville, KY. Their technique has not changed with the times, for their from-scratch methodology cannot be surpassed. The breads/treats - and the price point - are all spot on.
I grew up in danville and one thing I always have to have when I come home is Burkes. My go to is the chocolate cake donut, chocolate delight, and fondant drops. And for an event where you want to share the deliciousness, I also have to get a Congo Pie, which is not a pie at all. It's really a big version of a chocolate delight, so it's chocolate cake with amazing vanilla cream filling and chocolate icing. They also have some great deli items like pimento cheese and egg salad. Bascially, nothing is bad. And the prices are so good you can try something new everyday...then gain about 20 pounds :)
I always say it's a sin to be in Danville, and not stop at Burkes. Everything they have is fresh and good. It is Very well priced. Cash or checks only.

First time here. Walk d up a few minutes before opening time and a friendly employee told us to go on in and check out the menus. Once at the door the first three by I saw was a 100% score from the health department. Inside was music and a clean atmosphere. After looked my over the large menu I chose the Junkyard Dog. It was great. Will eat here again.
Love it Love it Love it!!!! The pulled pork on the Junkyard Dog has that smokiness that is so wonderful about bbq. The flavors of the pulled pork, Nathan's, the coleslaw and mustard just WORKS! My favorite item on the menu! Hats off to you if you can eat it without a knife and fork! The menu is simple, with several options to choose from. I would like to see them expand their side item menu, as not everyone wants fries or potato chips. I do feel like it is a little too expensive for hotdogs, even though they are LARGE hotdogs. It's hard to force yourself to splurge on a hotdog meal for the whole family. I also wish they had better hours. It seems like they close so early, and not open any longer than regular hours on the weekends.
This is my favorite place to grab a bite in Danville! The facts: everything is fresh, inexpensive, and fabulous! My whole family could eat these delicious Nathan's hotdogs on the regular without breaking the bank and there's so many options (pulled pork)! A lunch must!

O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar

Danville, 40422
Reviews:
Great service & food quality. Included in that is flawless to-go service, from OUR experience.
What residents know, is that this is a good restaurant in a town devoid of them - as there was a 20 min wait at 6PM on a Wed nite. The Louisiana sirloin steak was well seasoned and tender (no grissle). The salad was ordinary and sides good, but consistency is why this is a good restaurant. As an out-of-towner, this was a good choice close to the hotels.
At first we were hesitant to eat at here. I have been to an O'charley's in WI and really did not care for the food and atmosphere. The other members of our party decided on this establishment. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy. We were told 20 minute wait. It was only about ten. In the meantime we went to the bar for drinks. Low and behold it was happy hours. Buy one get one free for drafts and well drinks. We had one at the bar and they honored our second drinks after we were seated. The steaks were flavorful and juicy. I also had the salmon. Salmon was just ok. It tasted slightly fishy, but I am picky about fish. The dinner salads were better than "ordinary" as the previous yelper described. The restaurant itself could have been larger. The bar was small with at least three tv's.

This funky little campground is inexpensive and convenient when visiting Danville. We were permitted to pick our "little spot" in the shade and stake down our tent. They also have sites for motor homes and campers. The showers and bathrooms are old fashioned but clean. I guess they also hope that their camping guests stay for the outdoor playhouse production. We arrived before the season opener.

We just happened upon this place and we LOVE mexican food!!! The salsa was a bit hot but very delicious! Got the fish tacos which are my FAVE!!! These were some of the best fish tacos that I have ever had!!! We will be back here for sure and I totally recommend this little place.
Such good food, but it was really hard on me both times I ate here.
The food was very good, but the service was terrible. The men working in there were not at all friendly. I guess you have to look a certain way to get good service

This was our first time here. Pretty good food and the prices were good. They have a wide array of food. Most was bar type but good. There are lots of tvs and the atmosphere was casual. I recommend trying them out.
We ate here 2 nights out of 3 when we stayed in Danville - not because it was particularly stellar, but because it was close to our hotel (Comfort Suites) and they gave us 10% off with our hotel key. I had the osso bucco one night (very tender) and a burger the next. Everything was a-ok. I definitely like the main dishes better than the sides. The cracked pepper fries where surprisingly bland and limp and the cole slaw was really heavy on mayo and not much on flavor. The mixed drinks were watered down (not worth the price), but the beer was good (and they had a wide variety), although a bit pricey. Plus they didn't seem to have a happy hour. The service was pretty good. It worked, but it was just OK. They do have tons of TVs if you want to watch a game, so it is great for that!
The food is average. The service was nice but not overly friendly. Best for grabbing a beer and watching a game

This was our first visit to AJ's Country Cafe and my wife and I both were impressed with the breakfasts we ordered . It's definitely a local Cafe, no chain look or feel. We ordered the breakfast platter. The platters included two eggs, gravy, biscuits, fried potatoes, and your choice of meats. I had mine with fried bologna. My wife had the sausage. We both left very full due to the size of this breakfast. Very reasonably priced. Friendly service.
