While traveling through the Appalachian region, we made the decision to stop here and grab some lunch. While waiting for my food I was greeted nicely by the server and was very happy with my service. After enjoying some appetizers, I got my chicken club sandwich. It looked wonderful and it tasted even better. Everyone should definitely at least try this place. You won't be disappointed.

This place is very nice! Charlotte, the owner, makes you feel like you are right in your grandma's kitchen! I ordered the western omelette and I was sadly disappointed. I make better omelettes at home! Overall, I like the atmosphere and the staff was very hospitable. However, the food was a disappointment.

Fresh home-cooked lunch?! Enjoyed a tasty meal with a group of 22 people. All of our food was ready in about 15 minutes. Charlotte's has a variety of options on their menue, and they are flexible to alternate any dish to meet dietary restrictions.

Group of eight Harley riders enjoyed the excellent service and delicious food. Highly recommend stop here for lunch when visiting the Portal 31 mine and Coal museum. Sally makes sure you are enjoying your meal with her pleasant personality.

Talk about service. The owner of this shop came out and talked with us before we got our food. She gave us free potato skins and was so humble. She glowed with enthusiasm for this restaurant and you could definitely tell. The food is magnificent and the hospitality knows no end. If you're traveling through Harlan County you HAVE to stop here, if not for food then for the friendly conversation. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

I came into this establishment with a group of twenty-one people, and the food still came fast despite the amount of people! The staff were incredibly friendly and patient, and all of the orders came out correct. The environment is very homey and open. The baked potatoes are delicious and the chicken fries were tasty. I had the ham and cheese, and it was of average quality, but I am a picky eater and I heard from others that their sandwiches were delicious.

My team and I stopped by here after visiting the Kentucky Coal Museum and taking a tour of Portal 31. As you may expect, my stomach needed some filling up, so I did fill it up here. I sure did enjoy my meal. The service here is very good. Hitting the road again soon!

The food here is amazing. Homemade, delicious food. I ordered a catfish sandwich and sweet potato wedges. The fish was delicious, but the wedges were to die for. They were fresh and hot, and covered in brown sugar. Mmmmm. Stop by for great food!

Currently dining at Charlotte's Hoagie Shop and actually being serviced by Charlotte herself. There is no better comfort than being welcomed by the owner herself. The wide array of food variety was overwhelming because I wanted to try it all. I decided to order the hot wings because I am a wing enthusiast. They were delicious and I hope to return soon and try more of their signature plates.

Great Hospitality!! I met the owner of the shop Charlotte who was incredibly hospitable and provided me advice on what to orders. The servers were very friendly and managed my party of 20 people very well. This place is more than a hoagie shop. It provides a variety of food options. The fresh cooked food was delicious but there fried were too oily than usual. I would recommended anyone to stop here.

If was so awesome how Charlotte herself came out to serve her customers. There was so much variety I on the menus. I wish there were less signs that added to the menu because that was a bit confusing and made it hard to order because you may notice the extra options on the sings after you have already ordered off the menu.

There is nothing better than home made food, and you get exactly that here in Charlotte's Hoagie Shop! Charlotte takes care of the store and serves herself, which demonstrates great customer service. They have a great menu, with many varieties of chicken, beef, pork and vegan. The Jalapeño Fries were yum, and Chicken Philly Sandwich was my favorite.

Just stopped here on our way to Abington,WV with a group of about 20 and I'm enjoying every moment of it from the free Wifi, to the air conditioned all the way down to the great hospitality . I feel so welcomed . I also I had the pleasure to meet the very own Charlotte herself , she was very sweet, and gave us awesome advice on what to order. I ended up ordering the steak philly with Charlotte's fries and a sweet tea. This sweet tea is awesome , fresh and very sweet . The food was also good :)

A great place to stop in! I ordered the Italian Stromboli and it was the best Stromboli sandwich I have ever had. Most of the menu is less than $10, and the staff are super friendly. Charlotte herself comes around to introduce herself and tend to your meals. It is a definite place to stop by for a meal!

The restaurant provides a lovely atmosphere as it is welcoming to all, especially UK fans. The server was pleasant and accommodating, and Charlotte herself greeted us with open arms and a smile. The food itself was delicious, I ate the hoagie and side salad. Charlotte even have us loaded potato sins on the house. If anyone is traveling down I-75 and its hungry, I recommend you stop at Charlotte's hoagies!

Everything is all home cooked!!! Extremely delicious taste and wonderful customer service. The 21 of us were started off with free appetizers on the house before the food came along. We met Charlotte and she is very nice and warm! On my next trip to this town, this is definitely the place I will have my food.

These days there are very few times that you are just Wowed by somewhere or just taken back by a business and the pride that they take in taking care of their customer base, but this is definitely one of them. Being in the area today doing some family history research we stopped at Charlotte's on our way though town. We usually like to support local businesses as much as we can so we decided to drop in and check them out. First of all, the staff is just about the friendliest I have ever encountered, the food is outstanding and the menu is just wonderful. Portions are very nice for the price and did I mention the food?!? We tried a little bit of everything from the menu and all was top notch! I would send my friends from around the world to Charlotte's if I knew they were coming to Cumberland! In closing, all I can say is that you would do yourself an injustice by not stopping by Charlotte's in Cumberland, KY!

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The establishment is comfortable with good seating and free WiFi, which is a huge plus. I had a philly beaf sandwich and thought that it was okay. My colleagues, on the other hand said that their food was excellent.
