Hate to do it but I have to take my rating down a notch. Ordered some chicken and beef teriyaki take out and it was not good at all. The chicken was very dry and the beef tasted like it had been boiled or maybe stir fried and I was hoping it would taste grilled like most teriyaki does. It was all quite bland, and it didn't have that thick, gooey, sweet teriyaki sauce that every other Japanese restaurant uses on their teriyaki. Pretty much the most disappointing teriyaki we've ever had. How can they not get that right?

I have eaten here several times. The hibachi grill is always good and the sushi ingredients always taste fresh. Overall I would say it is one of the best restaurants in Campbellsville.

Its as good as it gets trust me! They have amazing Japanese food. Cali rolls and volcanoe rolls are to die for! Also lastly customer service is amazing!

Came for dinner and ordered the chicken bento box. Looked ok but tasted terrible. Chicken and rice tasked off. Ate some of it then called the waitress over I explained the food did not taste right and we did not want it. She said all she could do was take take 10% off! I told her to get he manager he as first questioned who I was and how often I come there? For what reason I had no clue. I went back and forth with him and he finally agreed to take 50% off. Most real places to eat would not charge you and apologize. Instead I got told how "no one else ever complains" and "everyone else likes the food". I was embarrassed at the low level of professionalism by the staff and management. I had to beg for a discount! I will never step foot back in this place!

This is not your top of the line Japanese. Sushi rolls were descent at best. Dirty exterior and interior. I should have realized it would no be that good when I was the only person in the restaurant during lunch hour. Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for in quality.

Staying at the local Best Western and checked the GPS for close places to eat, saw Yamato's and thought I'd give it a try. I've read the other reviews for here and wonder if I ate at the same place. Or maybe my expectations were higher. Had the Spicy Roll Combination dinner and Edamamee appetizer. The edamamee arrived, in hull which is fine, no bowl to put them in. Waitress arrives with soup and a salad. No dressing on the salad, none on the table. Oversight? sure bring is back in a squeeze container. different.. Moments after the appetizer hits the table then here comes the main course. Guess I didn't eat the appetizer fast enough. I must also appear gaijin to the server, sushi rolls with no chopsticks. Waitress did fetch me some. Rolls weren't bad, but have had better. Hard to mess up edamamee they were good. Salad... never seen a house salad shredded to this extent before but it was okay. Waitress only checked back to the table once during the meal, place was not busy, seemed disconnected. Had to ask for what I would have thought were the basics at most places, napkins, chopsticks, salad dressing, check, pen to fill out the check as she dropped it off without one. I realize this is not the middle of a big city and Campbellsville is pretty much a captive audience for this establishment, but I have definitely had better food and better service.

Excellent first choice here. Server was great, food was hot and very good. Only recommendation is take your coat. Little cool but in fairness it is 27 degrees outside. Will come back

The wife and I were in the mood for some sushi and fried rice. This place did not let us down. The sushi rolls were good and inexpensive. We will be going back again.
