Didn't expect good Mexican food in Kentucky, but was pleasantly surprised! Had the shredded beef chimichanga, and it was great. Husband had the vegetable fajitas, and the vegetables looked fresh. Prices were reasonable and service was pretty good. Will definitely be back!

I love this place. The staff is super friendly and attentive every time we go there. I am from California which has some of the best Mexican food in the country so I have pretty high standards. Just a heads up, I am a vegan so I can only speak for a couple of items. I usually get the vegetable fajitas w/o sour cream but extra guac or the vegetable burrito w/o cheese and red sauce instead of cheese sauce on top. The are both really good! This place is a must try whether you are a local or just passing through.

The food was decent, certainly not the worst Mexican I've had. The atmosphere's probably one of the classiest in Campbellsville, though that's not too difficult to accomplish. The staff tend to be decently attentive and friendly.

Loved it! I have been back 3 times so far. I am a travel consultant and this town does not have many places to eat besides fast food. Garcia's is fresh and delicious. I ordered the tilapia and the salmon. Soooo Gooood!!!

Good food for this town. You are extremely limited in options in Campbellsville and this is one of the few places that is not fast food franchise. I enjoyed the meal and it was refreshing to have somewhat of a fresh meal.

I took the family here after a soccer game. The service was slow and not everyone received the correct food. Even when I asked about it, the staff did not understand. Maybe on a different day or with a smaller group I would have been happier.

We visited here while in the area and were very satisfied. The salsa was very fresh and fantastic! The pollo bandido was delicious and well portioned. The fajitas weren't the best we have had, as the meat didn't have much flavor. However, the pico de gallo and guacamole were scrumptious! The black beans and rice were great as well. Our drinks ran dry a couple of times but overall the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

Gracias is great! They are definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant in Campbellsville and the fish tacos are amazing.

Still the best place to go for Mexican in Campbellsville. My brother and I both had steak last night instead of Mexican style. He had heard it was the best steak in town. I believe it.

We recently moved to Kentucky from California. One of the hardest parts has been finding authentic Mexican food out here.. Most of the restaurants we've tried around here are bland, and have no heat to them whatsoever. The worst part has been the flavorless salsa some places serve.. Luckily, we stumbled across Garcias! They are fantastic! The staff is extremely friendly. We are always seated promptly and served our drinks with chips and salsa (excellent flavor!). The food comes out quick and always tastes fresh. We really appreciate having a place like this locally. Anytime we are in Campbellsville we stop by for a bite to eat. Definitely give them a shot if you are looking for a good meal, you won't be disappointed!

I use to love to come to Garcias! The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was well seasoned and prepared with pride for the Mexican heritage. But not anymore. Last night I experienced not only the new menu but the new attitude as well. The fajitas were a big disappointment. The meat was tough, not seasoned. The rice and beans were tasteless and barely warm. Even the tortillas were cheap and tasteless. To finish the evening off the table across from us had a ten dollar mistake on the bill as did several others. I am sad about this. Beware people this place has a new attitude and it's not a good one.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
