Lisa’s 5th Street Diner

Reviews:
In town on business and wanted a great breakfast. Found Lisa's on yelp. Sat at the counter, great service, good food, locals know it. Server was having a Birthday, everyone knows everyone. If I lived here, I would be a regular. Great price performer vs New York City! Try the Pie sausage..it was great.
Oh my, menu 11 oz steak - "big as your head" I'm in heaven. My heart said... Go to the Diner.. And in the fourth day it was done. Lisa's is a true destination restaurant nestled in Bowling Green. I would settle into a home in this town just to have Lisa's in my town.
Where the "LOCALS" eat. It's really not hidden, & easy to find, but you won't find it at an I-65 Exit, or on "Restaurant Row." It's near downtown; oh YES, LOTS of Parking. If you want a fresh, hot, great service, country meals, "Y'all Come."

My husband and I have been going to Reds for many years. We use to go to the location on Old Louisville Rd. but they closed and reopened to this location. The food is always good and the waitresses are always so nice and kind. I always get the western omelet with home fries and biscuits and gravy. It tastes like a traditional breakfast. It's not anything fancy, but it's always delicious and hot. Never had cold food served here. They give you a good size potion so be prepared to take some home if you don't feel like you're starving. My husband always gets something different. Today he got a double bacon cheeseburger and fries. It tastes like a good ole traditional cheeseburger. Very good and nothing overly fancy. The coffee here is always something I look forward to. Better than any place I've gotten a cup of plain black coffee. Overall we really enjoy Reds. This is the only place we go when we want a good, home style breakfast that doesn't break the bank.

Amazing little diner found off the beaten path. The service was very friendly and we were surprised by how inexpensive the meals were. We had a large party of eight, each ordering a different meal (I had the delightful hamburger steak), and we barely had to wait at all for our food to arrive. The portions are generous and the food itself is delicious, especially for its price (my meal only cost $6.50 plus tax)! This place deserves more attention!

Not absolutely sure, but from the taste of these donuts I do believe that they took over for Dixie Cream Donuts (my favorite donut place in the south!) Try the white cream filling to have your mind blown!

This place is awesome. Lots of flavors at a reasonable price and service with a smile. Also, instead of charging by the weight they charge by size cup you used. You can fill that cup as much as you want

This is definitely 5 stars, if there were more stars they would get it. Stopping in Bowling Green on the way home from Florida, last Sunday, most restaurants were closed and we found el rinconcito. None of the staff spoke much English. The food was exceptional and very authentic. I had carne asana, served with beans, rice and HOMEMADE a tortillas. The rice and beans were the best ever, meat was perfect and the homemade tortillas were to die for. This will be a must stop, whenever we are in Bowling Green.
This place should have more amazing reviews! Authentic Salvadoran food. Fresh tacos and the chicken tamales were so delicious. Everything was full of flavor. The chips and salsa were downed almost instantly. Kind employees giving good service. I will be back!
Best pupusas in Bowing Green and great service with a smile! Tacos are authentic, nothing fancy, just really good.

Really nice mom and pop style diner. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and fantastic food - just like mom would make. My family leaves here with full bellies and smiles on our faces. Highly recommend!
If your looking for your mamas or grandmothers cooking that takes you back to those southern childhood memories this is the place. I went on a Friday night for all you can eat catfish and it was fantastic!! Small pieces with excellent breading and without the muddy water taste. I consider myself a catfish conasuer and they got it right. Prices are great for the portions and number of sides you get. You will not leave hungry. The breakfasts are great too. I really hope this mom and pop place continues to thrive. Highly recommend.

I had the catfish with hush puppies onion petals and macaroni and cheese the catfish was good the hush puppies were a little doey on the inside the mac and cheese was delicious my wife had the make your own chicken sandwich with mixed fruit it was delicious also
I LOVE the omelets, bacon, salads, and basically everything I've ever eaten here. The gluten-free toast is delicious and buttery, my brother and I aren't even gluten intolerant and we prefer this bread to the regular. Service is always pleasant and timely. It's good if you're on a diet, it's good if you're splurging, it's good all around.
I'm not gluten gay but tried Wheatless out anyhow. Damn fine cheeseburger and onion rings! This coming from a serious burger snob. The gluten free bun is strangely foreign to me, but it grew on me. I highly recommend it, gluten gay or not.

Sam’s Gyros

741 Campbell Ln,Ste 124
Bowling Green, 42101
Reviews:
Sam's Gyros is one of the best Greek restaurants in town. The people who prepare and serve the food to you are fast and friendly. The prices are outstanding and I am still not sure how they are able to make such wonderfully authentic Greek food at such a reasonable price. I have frequented every greek restaurant in town and this by far is my favorite. Yes, it is in a strip mall, but do not let that fool you. This is going to become one of mine and my family's favorite hangouts. The gyros of course are wonderful, but my favorite by far is the baba ghanouj. I cannot wait to try the falafel and olive wrap next time. It is also exciting that they serve quail!
I've been seeing these Sam's Gyro spots pop up in big malls and little strip malls from Louisville to Bowling Green and I'm not sure who's behind the spread but based on what I had at this location off Campbell Lane near the Kroger's is just damn good for gyros. Makes me feel like Iron Man in the Avengers getting my shawarma on. The gyros are chocked full of whatever fresh topping you choose, along with chicken or the shawarma you can watch them shave off the spit. Just good, simple stuff and I hope a Sam's of this quality comes to somewhere near my place of work. I would stop by regularly.
My wife and I had the gyro combo. The rice with the cucumber sauce was a nice option. The gyro and the rice were both delicious.
