Pros: it has a roof. The water was cold. Service was nice. Cons: the entire buffet was picked clean, most of the food either looked or smelled gross. I am writing this to you from the restaraunt as I may die before long after eating here. I was hoping to have some decent food after seeing some of the reviews but this had to have been one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. We got food that was nasty and sushi that had been sitting out for hours for 10.99 per person. This is highway robbery. Thankfully I was able to drown the questionable cuisine in some sriracha sauce I found at the sushi counter. I won't be back.

Experience this place for yourself. Don't just listen to the "haters". This is a Chinese Buffet for crying out loud not a 5 star gourmet restaurant. I am rating this 5 stars because in the buffet category it is tops! Food is excellent, fresh and service is kind and humble. I have enjoyed Chinese food all over the world including Japan, Hong Kong and mainland China. For my money I'll stay right here (don't screw it up for me and others who rely on this gem - with your bogus reviews). I have been enjoying this place now for 3 years, have frequented this establishment on all days of the week and times of the day. I have thoroughly enjoyed the array of sushi and the Mongolian BQ style fresh stir-fry bar is fantastic with all kinds of choices and flavors. These are my two favorites about this place however, the already prepared Chinese food is also top notch for this category. If you are interested in chowing down in a quiet, friendly, clean haven in Kentucky look no further...enjoy!

The variety and quality of food is excellent and priced fairly but both restrooms are seldom cleaned.

Father's Day 2013. With 2 young boys, my wife let me have a day to myself (an introverts dream). So, I hit up the Reds game. Before you think I am a bad father, I will take the boys when they are older, so don't judge. Got a mailer that said $12.99 for seafood buffet with lobster and jumbo snow crab. Uhh... ok. My wife LOVES crab, so it was worth a shot. If horrible, we'd at least still have a chinese buffet. Got there and found out they had run out of lobster (we were there at like 7pm), but the good news was they bumped the price down to $10.99. For an all you can crab buffet? Yes please. This could be hit or miss, but the crab was great. Big. And kept coming. We each had like 3 plates of crab, and then filled in the gaps with some chinese fare. All in all, huge win. The buffet itself was ok. Again, it was end of the day, so I think it'd be more fresh in the daytime. The dessert bar was awful (cookies actually in a package), but shoot - $10.99 for crab. I can handle a cheap cookie.

Ordered delivery of general tso, crab Rangoon and a couple egg rolls. Food was earlier than expected, portions were huge and inexpensive. For delivery food from a buffet the quality/taste was much better than expected. Based on my experience I will eat here again and would recommend to others.

Wow... My experience was far from what others describe theirs to be. What I discovered was a solid good buffet. The food was all fresh, the people were nice. Service was prompt. From a standard buffet, this is exactly what I want. All of the normal Chinese chicken dishes were tasty, and they had a "Kentucky fried chicken" that was awesome. The sushi left a bit to be desired, but considering the price, they are already a step above most buffets I have been to. Don't skip this one up due to all the negative reviews. Try it out for yourself.

I was curious to try this place after seeing the spread of ratings and it's close by, so tried the lunch buffet today. Unfortunately, being Sunday, the lunch buffet is $9.99 (with nothing different that I could tell) vs. the usual $6.99, but their menu lunch specials aren't valid on Sundays either, so figured I might as well go for the buffet. I've never been brave enough to try buffet sushi, but I must say it did at least look appetizing. There's one table of appetizer dishes and another of hot entrees. The appetizers are almost all fried and nothing particularly good in the bunch. One of my usual favorites, Crab Rangoon, was just overly hard fried dough with a little cream cheese (barely a trace amount of crab). The entrees were underwhelming too. I tried a little of each of the chicken dishes and the bourbon chicken had the most flavor of the available options, but nothing I'd ever seek out again. The sautéed green beans were actually my favorite thing on the buffet. The dessert buffet was kind of pitiful with about half of it consisting of packaged cookies still in their plastic trays. At least make the effort to take them out of their original packaging! The cookies & cream ice cream I chose was pretty good though (also had vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry). Unfortunately many Chinese buffets tend to be about quantity over quality and this place is no exception. Honestly, I think one of their biggest issues is the ability to maintain freshness with low turnover--when I was there (around noon on a Sunday), there was only one other party there. If I were ever to go back, which is honestly doubtful, I'd probably opt for an order from the menu to-go.

This is my favorite, and one of the best quality buffets in NKY Cincinnati area. The sushi that Tokyo Dragon has is superb, and on a level above anything I've seen at a chinese buffet. They usually have 5-8 kinds of rolls, and 2-4 kinds of sashimi. Yeah, never seen that at another Chinese buffet, have you? And its made continually, kept fresh, and can be made on demand. The hibachi grill here is also a big pro; though with a bit of latin flavor, this is some of the best hibachi I've had from a buffet. Their other food items are typical of most chinese buffets, with the exception that they are actually kept HOT. This is a huge problem in a lot of buffets, and I'm glad its not cold when I get back to my seat. Overall, I'd rate their other items at above average. The real draw for me is the high quality sushi and hibachi; once I've had a plate of each, I don't have much room for more anyway. Service is good, nothing exceptional nothing lacking. Decor is good. Music is entertaining. I must mention that Tokyo Dragon, like all buffets, has a flaw - the freshness and corresponding quality of your food depends on what time of day you go (essentially how busy they are, and how fast they are turning over food). I feel like I have to address this with some of the negative reviews I see on here, as certainly went during non-peak hours, a no-no to any knowledgeable buffet-goer. If you like buffets, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Utterly repulsive slop house with over the top prices for the garbage they lazily put out for human consumption. I've been here twice, both times I ate a few pieces of food, became physically ill and swallowed my pride to pay the outrageous 12 dollar bill. The food is low quality to begin with and they let it sit out way too long, when there even is food that is, other times the vultures have picked the road kill clean. Oh and they also have sushi, but you're a braver man than I if you choose to consume their "tape worm" roll. It's possible it will get warm enough to kill of any diseases they let it sit out so long, so that's a plus. Needless to say this is the type of Chinese buffet I imagine uses kitchen rats in their "chicken" kung pao and takes leftover plates from customers and dumps them back into circulation. Avoid it and if a health inspector is reading this, pay a visit.

I find the reviews that other Yelpers have left hilarious. What do you people honestly expect from a Chinese restaurant in a strip mall in NKY? I mean really people...? This place is exactly what anyone would expect. A small Chinese place thrown together with a buffet. No glitz and glam. It's just basic American Chinese food. You go and get your fried goodies and sesame chicken and go home with a full belly. What the hell are you complaining about. I have yet to step up to the buffet but carry out pretty often. The food is always good in the carryout and is reasonably priced. It is always ready in 5-10 min. If you are that much of a snob for fake American/Chinese food I guess you are going to have to head up I-71 north to PF Chang's.

Best Feature: NONE. Worst Feature: The food, service, quality of restaurant Hands down, this is the WORST restaurant I've ever been to. Ever. We were driving along Alexandria Pike and ended up in Alexandria, KY (surprising, I know.) We hadn't ventured out that far before, and happened upon a strip mall area with a Skyline, Arbys, El Rio Bravo, and more. We saw the sign for "Tokyo Dragon" which said it had chinese and sushi. Buffet, so we decided to give it a go, as if "buffet" wasn't warning enough. First off, it's $10.99 per person for dinner. That price is ridiculously high for mediocre chinese food. Secondly, the food was god awful. I walked into the buffet area to find most of the trays half empty if not FULLY empty. I'm paying how much for a fledgling buffet selection at eight thirty in the evening? There was a Hibachi grill area but no chef. They never even bothered to assist us or tell us it wasn't available. There was, however, a very surly man cleaning up and he - I kid you not - got really rude when I walked by to get food, rolling his eyes and sporting a grimace. The food tasted horrible - totally not worth the money we unfortunately paid for it. The service was barely there, and I was totally unhappy about the entire experience. I will never EVER return here and I advise everyone to stay away.

Tokyo Dragon offers a buffet, or order off the menu (including take-out). The warm food buffet is pretty standard, but the sushi bar is very good (second only to the Japan buffet). The other local Chinese restaurants on #27 are so average I can see this restaurant running them out of business.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
