I had tried this place 3 different times. Each time I was waiting for more the 45 minutes for a very simple dish and at non busy times. The second time I found mold on some of my chips and the third time a waitress (that I had to flag down 4 times to get my water filled once) added a tip to my card with out me knowing. I had given this place many different tries but really I would say skip this place and try some where else.

The food was good on taco Tuesday however the service was terrible we eat there about once a week and this is the worst service we have had. Server left us setting for 10 minutes had to ask for silverware had to ask for water and then brought us the wrong ticket. After all of that then shortchanged me on the bill $.39. Not our best night there.

Excellent Metropolitan-style Mexican dishes. Enjoyable portion sizes and prices. Historic ambience. Good service!

Very great service and delicious food, the manager is very friendly and nice, the staff is nice too. Very attentive, the chips and cheese were great. I had the cheese enchiladas, really good, had a few onions in them but it was good.

Chickenancho and Burancho are the best innovations. They have great rice and great queso here. I miss this staple in my diet.

Nice atmosphere. High prices for pretty bad faux Mexican food. Go to El Maguey in town instead.

This place is horrible!! Horrible service poor food! It was literally so bad I downloaded this yelp app while waiting to get chips and salsa! They messed up 3 out of 4 food orders and 1 beer order. And to top it off a Mexican restaurant didn't bring us limes for our beer that we asked for!! Let's just say it was a bad time.

Went there tonight for some good solid food, even if it wasn't "authentic Mexican" food. Waitress wasn't very engaging, the food was ok, not great, and we actually left the restaurant, even after paying, with our dinner plates still on the table. No one came by to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee. The food kept at three stars but it needs more spice, more flavor. The atmosphere is nice but the staff make it feel tired. I hate feeling as if I annoyed my waitress. So, it's okay, but certainly not more than three star territory. It's closer to two.

Great food, good atmosphere, friendly service however food was extremely slow coming out to our party of four (nearly 45 minutes). Even the waitress remarked that she didn't know why it was taking so long. Call me crazy, but how about going and asking the cook that question?

If you like nacho cheese, this is the place to go. I have been here three times, and I can't really remember which dishes I ordered other than that they were all smothered in cheese. Which is fine, by me, because I like cheese. But...I wouldn't say it's the most awesome Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered a house margarita with no salt on the glass to go along with my dinner after a long day of being on the road. I got an overly sweet, obviously pre-mixed margarita with salt. Twice. The waitress was nice enough, but it was clear her mind was elsewhere all night as she didn't check in very often, forgot about the salt twice, and failed to mention we were supposed to pay up front. We waited for about 10 minutes for her to pick up the credit card before deciding to check at the front of the restaurant. The ambiance is cool, though it feels more like a trendy tapas bar based on the decor and exposed brick interior. If you want a more authentic mexican dining and drinking experience in Winfield with super friendly staff, check out El Maguey's.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
