Unique, tasty pizzas. A quaint atmosphere in Clifton Square. Great patio. Great selection of cold beer. Friendly, efficient service. This is easily one of my favorite places for pizza in Wichita!

My friend and I decided to share a pizza. We built our own pizza: Italian sausage, fresh mushroom, tomatoes with cream cheese sauce. The pizza had really good flavor, the sausage and sauce were my favorite. The pizza isn't your traditional pizza pie, but rectangle served on a tray. I went with a party of 5 on a Friday night. The room we dined in was an extension to the building. It did not have central AC, only fans which this particular day was blowing around hot and humid air. They were really busy with several large parties, however service was attentive and quick.

Ziggy's is truly a hidden gem. I had heard through the grapevine that Ziggy's had the best pizza in town but checking out out kept slipping my mind. I've finally stopped by and I have to say the pizza was as good as they say. The beer selection is pretty good for a small local spot and during the cool spring or summer nights sitting on the patio out front is the best. The restaurant is located in Clifton Square right in the heart of college hill. The overall feel of the restaurant is laid back and a little old school, the restaurant looks as though it was a house at one point. Take out our dine, make sure you try this one out.

Splendid pizza pie! Got a pepperoni and it was quite tasty but square?! How do you make a pizza square??? Cozy seating, went there with a party of 14 and were easily accommodated with call ahead reservation. With many different tickets in play the waitress handled everything like a pro with copious drinks and appetizers ordered per couple or individual along with pizzas. Super fun, a little bit loud but perfect start to Saturday night out.

Awesome pizza! Thin crust with the perfect balance of cheese and sauce. Super tasty. Will definitely return here with frequency. Nice selection of tap beers too. Friendly folks behind the counter.

What a great little place! I'm a wichita native, and visited Ziggy's for the first time with my boyfriend last night. We were instantly greeted by the nice young gentleman who was behind the bar, he answered all of our questions about the menu. We decided to order a pizza for carryout. The guy told us it would be about a 12 minute wait and asked us if we'd like something to drink while we waited. We weren't sure what to get so he filled us in on all of the different craft beers they carry. He was super knowledgable about all of them and really knows how to converse with patrons. We got the pizza home and it was to die for! Nice bubbly browned cheese! And I have no idea what they put in the dough but it is KILLER! This place is awesome in my book. Come for the pizza. Stay for the friendly environment.

Very impressed with this place and the location-such a neighborhood place, it's awesome! Outside area is huge and they have bands on the weekend and excellent pizza!

I was visiting fora couple weeks and in my ravenous taste for new places I looked up the reviews and tried this place. The ambiance is the most casual you will find (college style). The pizza was in the top 10 that I have ever had. It was so freaking awesome. The beer selection wasn't as vast as I would love but it covers all the bases of craft beers. If I lived in Wichita I would be here every single week. They had medium sized TVs but they were incredibly high def with sports galore on.

  • Christina C.

I love Ziggy's! The pizza is incredible... I don't know what is my favorite thing - the delicious food or the ICE cold beer! I just can't explain how good it is!

I can't believe it took me this many years to finally get to Ziggy's. Being in College Hill, I don't travel that way often. I am slowly learning that there are a handful of restaurants in Wichita that are worth the drive. My family got together one Saturday afternoon after the state track meets at Wichita State. We arrived early, right before the lunch rush, and was able to snag two of the picnic tables on the awesome patio. I love all the shade the many trees provided while still getting an awesome breeze. I wasn't expecting beer, but was plesantly surprised to see they had some specialty beers on tap. I had the New Belgium Snapshot, my beer choice of the summer. Many of the family ordered sandwiches, the Costanzwich being the most popular. Next time around I will order the Italian sandwich. I got a 'Meat Me at Ziggys' all meat pizza to go (played delivery girl for the BF - don't worry, he tipped me). It was neat to see they made square pizza instead of the normal round. The flavor of the pizza was amazing. Perfect thickness to the crust with just the right amount of crunch and chew. The meats tasted fresh and the cheese got crispy just the way I like it. I can see many a summer evening spent on their patio, enjoying a brew and a good pie.

Killer pizza, with creative toppings in a relaxed atmosphere. Six beers on tap and a few TVs to watch the game. The must order: Wings! Not BBQ or anything just straight up wings. They are cooked twice in a secret recipe.

Very good they have the best taco pizza I have ever had Pizza Hut taco pizza everybody's is nothin and has a nasty taste! But there's is good and everybody that tried it at my spot likes it and wants to go there! It's clean in side friendly people and great good

This is actually a 3.5 star review. Ordered a bunch of pizzas for a lunch party. Guess I should have doubled the order. Everyone loved the pizza, but the toppings were a bit skimpy. I guess everyone thinks pizza should be a $5.99 deal.... But these were not that - $13 each should have more. The order girl said 4 people per pie, more like 2.5 people. The group loved it though and we'll be back, but fatten the boys up a bit like the website showed. Liked the bar and Gluten Free options. Jamison and Ginger ale is Gluten Free too!! Keep growing guys and I'll update on my next visit.

So this place is the bomb diggity. Really good food, and great beer. The orange juice beer is really good. The staff is real professional, and the atmosphere is great. I would say this place blows away other mom and pop pizza places in wichita!

Some of the best Pizza I've ever had. I enjoyed it so much that I had a full pizza to myself! It's the perfect place to take a date and it's filled with many TV's, but not too many so that a social gathering isn't overpowered by the loud TV noise! Back to the pizza, it's the perfect size crust because it's not too thin or too thick. You'll enjoy every bite!

Wonderful, quaint location in College Hill. Excellent food, great prices and an awesome lunch special! One of our favorite spots in Wichita!

  • Suzanne A.

Love the pizza. The crust is thin so if you are looking for deep dish this is not the place for you. My boyfriend and I have only ordered to go, so I cannot comment on service as a whole. However, the last time we ordered I went in to pick up the pie; the dude working at the counter needed to up his customer service game. If he works for tips I can't imagine he makes much.

Wings, pizza, and beer! Great local establishment with amazing pizza and service. Perfect spot for a date night or out with the crew.

The Chuck Norris is my sandwich. All their sandwiches are great! The pizza is good, if you haven't been, you need to go!

  • Ashley C.

After trying Ziggys Pizza I have a new FAV! The pizza is absolutely amazing... The crust is thin and the ingredients are specifically arranged as a build to keep your Slice together as you eat it. Not too much sauce (just right). We had the build your own. All the toppings we chose were piled high on our pizza! Definitely your moneys worth! We also had the cheesy garlic bread which my son really loved, as well as I. The service upon picking up our to go was very friendly and welcoming. I only spent a small amount of time in the inside but it seemed like a comfortable Laid back down to earth atmosphere. I can't wait to tell everybody about Ziggys!

When this space used to be The Bay Leaf six months ago, it was really quite a dive, with a happening night life scene, but largely just for the regulars who lived within walking distance from Clifton Square. Like a Harry's Uptown Bar without the pretense? In any case, it was surprising when I walked in and sat down at the same bar stool to find the place completely renovated and overall quite nice. Similarly, the food is better, too. When I read about Ziggy's quadrilateral pies, my mind went to the Detroit-style pizza, which is known for its quasi-deep dish nature, the highly toasted crust along the outer edges of the pan, and the crispy cheese that ends up browning along those same edges. This is not a Detroit-style pie. Rather, it's your standard crust that's wedged into an 8 x 12 baking pan. It's well-established that I place a large emphasis on crust, and I've dinged other pizzerias for the type of crust Ziggy's offers - one that has the very thin crust and soft interior of a dinner roll. A little more gluten and a lot more browning of the crust would have been preferred. On the pus side, the side of sauce they gave me along with my order made getting through that crust a more enjoyable experience. They do everything else well, though. Particularly when it comes to the toppings, which are obviously fresh (including the mushrooms, Glory Be), and they achieve a nice balance between the sauce and cheese (again, you can always dunk if you need an extra dose of sauce). A Detroit-style pie would be extraordinary around these parts, but it's little more than wishful thinking. Ziggy's simply chooses to make their pizzas rectangular because it's how their mom used to do it, and you can't argue with mom.

Awesome!!! Made a pit stop en route to Minnesota from Dallas. Hit the spot and kids loved it. Great friendly staff.

I absolutely LOVE this place. Have now been there several times and have yet to have a bad experience. Their pizza is so fresh, very generous toppings on their pies. Prices are pretty fair for the amount a food you get. I happened to see WSU's Gregg Marshall in there with his family! They have great specials on drinks every day. Highly recommend to anyone in the Wichita area

Went in for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Good pizza, very hot and fresh. Can't wait to return for other entrées. Highly recommended.

Great food! Best pizza in town. Only drawl back I've found it that it tends to get very loud inside due to the hardwood floors and brick walls. Seems like everybody is shouting over each other at every table to have a simple conversation.

Great pizza! I highly recommend Ziggy's Classic pizza. We ordered 3 different pizzas and the classic was the table favorite.

  • Amber P.

Nice patio and great service. The menu is small but the food is delicious. They have gluten free crust for no extra charge! (You do have to order a whole gluten free pizza and not just a slice.) They have punch cards for free pizza if you are a repeat customer. A nice place nestled right in Clifton Square.

Enjoyed lunch at Ziggy's. Italian side salad was fresh and tasty with crispy Romaine, black olives, pepperoni, and crumbled feta. Classic pizza was delicious, too. Nice crust and a good ratio of sauce, cheese, and toppings. Despite being busy, service was very good. I'll definitely be back.

What a wonderful hidden treasure. A friend of mine suggested we check out this place because he wanted to try something new. Driving to this area, it looks like a bunch of smaller homes converted into small businesses. Ziggy's has that classic Americano house with white picket fence. It's a small, yet intimate atmosphere. Walking in immediately is the register bar area. The ceiling has a small stained glass skylight. The beers on tap are more than your standard Bud/Coors/Miller selection. The people working there are young and vibrant. We seated ourselves in a empty table that had a dark veneer look with tall chairs with cushions. The dinning area was very modern. There was 1 TV mounted on the wall steaming a Royals game. Great atmosphere and decor. We could tell that people were enjoying themselves with laughter and the good smells of pizza. ONE quip. We waited a good 15 minutes before our server even showed up. What ticked me was that the server gave menus to a group of people that showed up 10 minutes after we have arrived. A big no no for not being aware of new customers arriving. After our waitress finally showed up, we finally got a look at the menu. The menu is a single page, front and back that has items easily readable. We had decided to order the sampler appitizer and the Kickin' Chicken. For our beverages, we both got the 24 oz Shock Tops. The shock tops came in these huge gobbet looking glasses that are similar to Louise's in Lawrence. The wait for our food wasn't too bad. I would say about 20 minutes for the main food, and about 15-18 minutes for our apps. The apps were absolutely delicious. A bit expensive in my opinion for the amount of food you get. I would say if it were 8-9 dollars it would be more reasonable than $12. The chips were multi-grain and had a perfect soft/crunch feeling. There are about 4 different dipping sauces. It came with nachos, bacon/cheese potato skins, and some texas toast with mozzarella cheese melted on top with garlic. The Pizza was great! Soft, chewy and just the right consistency. The sauce was buffalo sauce, ranch, chicken, jalapenos, and cheese. Just the right amount of hot and coolness. Overall the food and experience was fairly good, minus the quip. I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of going to the same pizza place.

We ate there last night and it was great! We had the garlic cheese bread (delicious!) and the Classic pizza. The pizza was great, and I'm looking forward to the leftovers for lunch today. We ate inside, and loved the atmosphere. I'll be back.

I still like Ziggy's but it seems the quality has gone down a bit from a couple years ago. Last couple times we've gotten a pizza to go they were greasy - dripping on my clothing greasy - and just didn't have the taste I'd come to expect from them.

Gluten free pizza Fresh salads Attentive service Questionable atmosphere Ziggy's is a super quaint, yet kind of hole-in-the-wall local pizza joint nestled in College Hill's Clifton Square. It's a rennovated old house, which clearly made the layout difficult, but they did a good job of adding a bar area at the entrance. I've ordered a few of their gluten free pizzas and they're fabulous (note that you have to order the whole pizza, the gluten free option does not come by the slice). A thin, cripsy crust and abundant toppings. It's big enough to split but if you do I'd recommend adding a side salad. Or if you're famished you could easily polish one off yourself. I won't lie - I have :) The Italian side salad is bursting with pepperoni, olives, feta cheese, banana peppers - and it's way bigger than a normal sad side salad at other joints. I kinda want one right MEOW. While there are a few booths installed in the (small) dining area, the overall atmosphere still feels strangely like someone's house. Maybe it's the (stick on?) tile flooring, or the artwork on the walls - I can't quite put my finger on it, but it needs some attention. The outdoor patio/seating area looks comfy and cozy and I can't wait to hang out there when the weather warms up.

Admittedly Kansas has sucked the vigor and enthusiasm from my Yelp reviews. I no longer have whimsical sayings to captivate my readers with, so I've relegated myself to the world of useful, foregoing funny and cool until I find my mid-west mojo. ...and I have no doubt if I patronize Ziggy's more, I'll find that hip, cool girl who fancied herself a pizza aficionado. You see, by serving cocktails and local craft beer in goblets large enough for dinosaurs, anybody is likely to feel a bit more giggly, a bit more uppity, and a bit more creative. And by dishing out pizza with a crust on the sweet side of thinly magnificent, perfectly tossed, and kneaded with nothing more than love and compassion, the hippy within you is likely to jump up with an unexpected holler... ...that is until you realize that your fantastic white pizza is topped with both chicken and bacon...and your deep-seated desires to maintain Kosher will be further crushed when you realize that the creamy layer encrusting your poultry and pig is real cream cheese. Ziggy's is a well kneaded (...c'mon that was sorta funny...) pizza haven in a city otherwise dominated by the shiny cheese, fat crusts of yeasty chain places.

My brother and I tried this place today. We got there early for lunch (11:15am) but it filled up fast. We had great/friendly service! My brother and I both thought the pizza was just a bit too salty. I had the Hawaiian and my brother had the meat lovers. I tried the side salad and I would say it was good and fresh so I don't think you can go wrong there. I personally like the crust better at Picassos Pizza and Bartellis better.

Oh, my GOD. What wizardry is this?! A thin, somewhat crispy crust that is NOT soggy. It's not rock hard, it's not super crunchy, it's not soft like Papa John's crust either. It's PERFECT and delicious. Our first visit, we ordered the Sanibel Islander and the Meat pizza, I can't remember the name and I'm probably spelling 'Sanibel' wrong. Whatever, they were both delicious. Actually, the Islander was the most delicious Hawaiian style pizza I've ever had. We order it regularly now, along with the cheesy bread. The cheesy bread is like little slices of garlic buttery heaven, by the way. It doesn't even need the marinara that comes with it. I kinda want to rate this place badly, because that might make it less busy! Maybe??

Quality pizza, great location, cold beer. Awesome patio, as usual. Can be a bit nutty in there around 3-430 sometime M-F. Seems many of the kids from the catholic school come in for milkshakes and stuff, but we just hung outside. It was a good place. Been back many times, and will go back again.

Visited on a Saturday evening and found the place busy and by the time we left all inside and outside tables were occupied. We found the pizza very good and unlike other pizza in Wichita, which is good. We will return and take friends. The service was generally attentive but the server forgot to bring a side said. We found the place somewhat quaint ad it is a converted old house. What we did not like was that one table leg was shorter than the rest so we fought a wobbly table plus the ceiling Vent dripped water. All in all a good experience.

Great food, great staff and owners, fun place to hang out. One of my favorite places in Wichita, hands down!

  • Casey P.

The pizza is good, not the best and far from the worst. The main factor going into the 2 star rating is the service. When my girlfriend and I arrived, we walked in the front door and stood for about 5 minutes. During that time waitresses were walking by but making no acknowledgment of our existence. There was no sign up that said wait to be seated or seat yourself so we weren't sure what to do. Finally I went up to the bar and asked to be seated. For all the first timers going to Ziggy's, SEAT YOURSELF! A sign at the entrance would be nice is all. Next, the service was quite slow, there were I believe 3 servers on the floor waiting all the tables but several people behind the bar and in the back. The waitress took a drink order and food order then never saw her again. We flagged down the guy bringing out someone else's pizza to get our check and to go boxes. I will try Ziggy's maybe one more time before I make a decision to never go back.

My husband and I love pizza and we love Ziggy's pizza. Our first visit was for a low-key date night and we both enjoyed the cold beverages. I had a giant house margarita and the hubby had a few Shocktop beers. We started with the garlic cheese bread to soak up some of the giant drinks. The pizza did take a little while, but we weren't in a hurry. The pizza is the main event. It tastes like the pizza you wish you could make at home. The dough has just the right balance of chewy and crispness. The rectangular pie had just the right amount of sauce/toppings/cheese ratio. The cheese had just the right amount of browning on the edges. Yum! The seating is limited and you couldn't bring a large family or group here and the outdoor seating is limited and taken both times we have visited. Overall, a great place for great pizza.

Easily the best pizza I've had in Wichita. Cool atmosphere, nice patio out front. We wen on a Friday night, so it was very crowded, and took a while to get seated. Once seated though our food came out very quickly. The only thing I didn't like was the chalice like glasses the beer was served in.

This pizza is delicious. We didn't eat in the dining room but as we waited for our pizza to-go it reminded us of "Cheers."

The location is wonderful. The restaurant, patio, decor etc. are a delight. The staff was so friendly. Service was excellent. We had the white delight pizza and it was wonderful. Probably won't go many other places for pizza locally now... The drink specials are relevant. Overall great place and can't wait to go back!

  • Abi J.

By far the best pizza in Wichita, and it's not a chain, so really a win-win. My fiancé and I went here for a low key Valentine dinner, and were so glad we did. The pizza was plenty plus leftovers, at a great price. It was a busy night, and considering thety had only been open 2 weeks, they were doing great! My only complaint is that it's pretty snug inside, I would not recommend it for a large group. We will be coming back, and are both hoping that Ziggy's will stay around for quite a while. Go try their pizza!!!

  • William W.

After my second visit to Ziggy's I had to leave a review to let people know that "real" pizza has returned to Wichita. Quality ingredients that the chains are incessantly referring to are actually used at Ziggy's, and in quantities that make for a successful pizza. The sauce is very fresh, and you can judge for yourself as they include a small amount as a dip for the crusts. I wasn't impressed by the salad... please people... remove the center stem of the romaine, it just not that hard and it makes people like me happy. Aside from that, I'm a fan of this place... keep it up Ziggy's!

Great food and drink at a low price. This place has a great atmosphere and is very small and quaint. This truly is a hidden gem.
