I usually like Freddys. I decided to try this location because its closer to my house. I can say that I will not be going back to this one. I ordered the chicken, they didn't give me the sauce that i wanted. Charged me for the wrong thing and gave me a sweet tea instead of un sweet. I just felt like they were rushing me. I understand that they were busy, I used to work at a fast food place. But they just rushed me through to get to the next person. Needless to say, next time I want Freddy's I will drive the extra distance to go to the one on 21st. Thats if I even go back.

This was my first visit and it was pretty good. I bought a double steak burger that wasn't the best but not the worst. The fries were absolutely amazing though. easily in my top 10 list. the decor was nice but it could use some improvement. The cashiers were really nice and courteous which is a refresher for fast food resturants. The speed at which the food came out was moderate. when i visit Wichita again I might give it another go to tryout the custard.

Best ice cream ever. So long as you're not in a big hurry. The drive-through is painfully slow. If you drive up and there's more than one or two cars in line, just go inside because you're going to be waiting a while.

Rarely do you enter a fast food restaurant expecting anything more than a low cost meal but Freddy's delivers on taste as well! Freddy's is one of my favorite places to grab an inexpensive, fast burger. They offer what they affectionately refer to as "steak burgers" and let me tell you they are a nice change of pace. They have a thinner juicer patty which allows you to really taste the juices they end up excreting and cooking in. Not only that but the cheese they use actually tastes like cheese! None of that yellow paint looking goop you find at other fast food restaurants.

FYI - This is a custard + drive-thru review ONLY! So while visiting Wichita for work, I craved some frozen something before I departed HOT Wichita in route to my Milwaukee home. To my suprise I found this joint just down the road from Eisenhower Airport and it had frozen custard!!! Well damn, I am from the dairyland of 'merica and frozen custard is one of our things. So I popped it into the GPS and I was on my way. Now this is where the excitement ended. I was in a rush and used the drive thru. Place my order and the girl over the intercom. I had to repeat myself 3 times before she punched it in correctly. Then I pulled up to the window. Now if you have a low car, like my Ford Escort rental, then you may want to pull far enough away to get out of the car. The window I swear was above the roof of the car. This posed a problem as the unengagued cashier dropped my card on the asphalt. Ugh.. oh well custard is on its way, right? Nope had to wait about 5 min. Oh well, I have it in my hands. It quenched my craving but it wasn't anything too special. They could of mixed the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup a bit better. Most of it was at the bottom. Overall, meh...but I would give it another shot.

A lot of people love this place, so don't let my opinion be the sole factor in deciding whether to try it or not. Everything about Freddy's is great..... Except the burgers. Now, if you like to see good beef reduced to cinders, you'll love this place. The patties are pressed so thin that they come off the grill looking like little lace doilies... Blackened lace doilies. That's it. That's my only beef with the beef. I've tried it a couple of times and the last time worked with the guys on the grill and it still came out charred clear through.... Three times in a row. They refused to turn it earlier even when I said,"OK... turn it now! Quick!"

I like this local fast food joint. When I want fries or ice cream I think of this place. They do a good job making special sandwiches too.

I'm pretty sure this place will shorten your lifespan significantly if you eat here more than once a year, but my god it's worth it. The burgers are awesome, the thin patties are crispy and well seasoned, definitely greasy but not dripping off the burger. Shoestring fries! Super crispy and perfect, don't forget the Freddy's fry sauce! And custard, what more could you ask for?! Service is fast and friendly, and prices are beyond reasonable.

I trekked quite a bit in the freezing cold to get to this establishment! The counter service was friendly but not as helpful as I explained I had not been before. Finally I just chose to get a single steak burger, fries and a drink. Next time I would probably order the double since the meat-to-bun ration would have been better. The fries were great. Before I left, I took a small turtle sundae to-go which was excellent.
