Hands down the absolute best chocolate malt. If I lived closer, I would be 50 pounds heavier due to the consumption of too many malts. The food is decent, but its the ice cream you're going for.

This is my least favorite fast food place. It is not because of the location or the service but ad a whole I don't like Braums. They have a good big room inside the store which is good for any lunch meeting.

Americans and their ice cream addiction. Hey, the Italians have their Gelato fix, right?! So I needed a dessert on the road for a change and believe me, a little goes a long way in terms of calories. So I chose a sundae made with ice cream that had Splenda instead of sugar. I would have never known... it tasted great! They hot caramel and fudge toppings helped. [oooops] And a first class move in the sprinkly of slightly salted, perfectly toasted, chopped almonds they give you. That saltiness brought out more sweetness [that's why many dessert recipes have a bit of salt]. Anyway, the almonds were the cherry for me... the cats meow... ask for extra!

A great selection of milkshakes and ice cream (I always get the banana shake.) There's a little store in every location and while I don't know why anyone would do their grocery shopping there, it does add character to the restaurant. They have a terrific burger and decent biscuits and gravy for breakfast.

This morning I stopped for breakfast at this Braums. I like the fact that there is no line and the quality of food is better than the McDonalds down the road a bit. I brought my food into work with me and man was I hungry! I ordered 2 sides of eggs covered in cheese and a sausage pattie. Within the first 2 bites, I discovered a hair but thought not a huge deal, maybe it was mine and after all it wasn't cooked into my food... Only until I discovered that two bites later, there was hair cooked into my food. I attempted to contact the store by phone, no one answered. I decided I would re-visit the store to voice my concern. I asked to speak with the manager of the store, the assistant manager was the one I was speaking with. I asked her to let me know which of the cooks had cooked my eggs. She was quick to point the finger at the younger male. I quickly pointed out to her that he had just pulled up to work while I was paying for my food at the first window. Then the Arabic female came up and said that she had cooked the eggs. I asked her if she would like to eat food with my hair in it. She said no. I explained to her that my eggs that she had cooked had her hair in it. I then asked her why she did have a hair net on or why she was not wearing a hat. She explained that Braums did not issue them hair nets. I then explained that I wanted to speak with someone over her and the assistant manager. They told me that Ruby would be in at 10:00 am. I then explained that this is probably why Braums does not have a line in the morning.

This Braums is slightly off the beaten path of regular eating establishments but is worth it if you've never eaten here before. The seating area is a lot bigger than the ones in the Newton Braums and the tables a lot roomier.

I was fascinated by this little dairy gem! To explain to my fellow Ohio Yelpers, if Dairy Queen and United Dairy Farmers (UDF) got married and had a baby...that baby would be Braum's! The first thing you see when you walk in the door is a little grocery area. About 3 isles filled with everything from milk, to bread and even some produce! A great place to go if you just need to pick up a few items. But this purpose of this trip was to get one thing...a double dip cone! My boss had been talking about a Braum's double dip cone ever since we landed in Wichita. I know I would never hear the end of it if we didn't get one, so we went on our last night in town. We approached the counter and I looked at the menu. Their menu was simple, mostly cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers and fries...similar to DQ. But I had already ate dinner, so I just moved on down to the ice cream case. I'll admit, I was pretty disappointed that they didn't have strawberry. What kind of hand-dipped ice cream place doesn't have strawberry?!?! But I got over it and ordered a double dip of chocolate chip dipped in chocolate. And it was HUGE! I barely got through the first scoop before I sadly had to throw the rest away. It was so good...but it would have been my own little "Kim vs Food" challenge to finish it! I am told that Braum's is only in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. So if you find yourself in any of these states...I suggest to check it out!
