Alejandro's is one of the few options in Ulysses to dine-in. We arrived at lunchtime to find a very packed parking lot. Inside you'll find a very open restaurant to the naked eye... aesthetically boring. They use banquet style chairs which to me isn't very pleasing or that comfortable to sit in. We were seated quickly which was good, and our waitress brought over some freshly made chips and salsa. Typically most places serve you a mild/medium salsa, and then give you a choice, but we didn't get one. We got our drink orders in, and they come back in styrofoam cups? So why would a restaurant do that? Last I remember we didn't come to a fast food restaurant. I suppose they do that because apparently the waitresses can't remember what they are, so they have to label them with a pen. Unheard of, but apparently this restaurant thinks it something they should do. The menu itself is way too big. It's about 5 pages on a large legal sized menu. First three pages I believe were actual mexican food items, and then the rest were traditional american food items. Why they would do this? I don't know. During the whole duration of our wait, the waitress never dropped by to ask us how we were doing on drinks or our chips. I would frequently see her push a cart full of chips and salsa to other patrons, and ignore us, unless we flagged her down for service. The cart idea is ridiculous. What restaurant does this? NONE. The only time it's necessary is if you're doing cart side food service, where you prepare and make food for patrons. Once our food finally came out, it would be average quality. It's nothing unique or special about what they produce. I ordered beef enchiladas which were surprisingly decent. The beef was sauteed with some onions and it was seasoned well. The seasoned rice wasn't very flavorful, and the fried beans were a bit runny. The food pricing is a little too expensive for the quality of food. If they adjusted their prices about 2 dollars less, I could see the value in what you get. Overall the service here isn't very good at all, but can be fixable if they trained their staff a bit better, and the food could be better if they seasoned things to give it flavor, and to use real cups for your drinks. Seriously, I shouldn't see styrofoam, unless I am asking for my drink to go. I think you could probably find a better place to eat, but if you're just hungry and don't care, then try this place out.

Average OK Mexican fare. I must admit this place was very busy at lunch. I ordered an enchilada plate with beans and rice. My only issue was yellow cheese glopped on top of he enchiladas. Nice decor, attentive service. Nothing special.

Best food in town . Chips are nice and hot , I got the steak tacos they are real good , My brother got the Bbq special came with brisket, pork, chicken, sausage, beans , slaw . Had some from his plate the brisket was so tender had good smoke ring . This was so hard to believe that a Mexican restaurant can do Bbq . We talked to the waitress and the cook had cooked some extra Bbq for Christmas party So they were running a special this plate was 9 .99 . We have been in Texas at all the Bbq place and that plate is usually 20.00 buck so this place is real inexpensive . Are meal cost was 20. 00 for two people that is real cheap. So we had to order two of the Bbq plates to take home we left the waitress a 15.00 dollar tip she did a real good job. Will be back to try some more food.

Great little Mexican place! Ate here several times during a 2 week work trip to Ulysses and the staff was very accommodating to our large party. They even started remembering us and our "usual" drink orders. The atmosphere is very typical of any other Hispanic diner. Very open and spacious with some decor. Nothing glamorous. Lots of options for food; there's even American style cuisine for those who aren't too particular on Mexican. I would suggest the salmon salad! :) I definitely would eat here again if I was in the area even though it's one of the only choices in town for dining. I would also definitely recommend Alejandro's to anyone passing through. Enjoy!

Very unoriginal and bland Mexican food. Service was good and the decor is nice but the food is just not that good.
