I was visiting a friend in Ottawa and one day she wanted to eat at this place called Ponchos. I love mexican food so why not? IT WAS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER!

I grew up in Ottawa and I've always loved this place. My dad was good friends with the owners and it's always been good. I like there chips and cheese.

One of Ottawa's best restaurants. Food is great, service is always prompt and courteous and the prices are reasonable. They serve American cuisine, like burgers and chili dogs and great (but admittedly far from authentic) Mexican. Also, their cheese sauce is fantastic!

This is a hometown favorite of mine. It's not as good as it used to be and it's certainly not fine dining, but it hits the spots every time. When I get to visit home, it's the one restaurant i always want to visit. As for the food, it's Mexican/American. There's nothing authentic about it. Chips and cheese are good. And I always get the Super Cheese Burrito.

The food here is usually pretty good but apparently you should never go during a rush. Yes, there were table available so my friend and I sat down (at exactly 12:00, mind you). Got our menus around 12:05. Our waiter was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He didn't stop to take our drink orders or give us chips until 12:20 (usually something done immediately along with getting the menus), we ordered our food then, too. Got our drinks at like 12:28 and finally our food at 12:42. I don't necessarily blame him for the slow service (he did forget about us a few times...) I put the blame on the managers who decided that two servers would be enough for a lunch rush on a nice Friday afternoon. Not to mention the cashier charged me extra when I said the service was slow; I didn't say anything because I was just so frustrated and was already running late for class. Definitely, if you are running behind or expect to get even drinks in a timely manner, go somewhere else.

I ordered chili relleno. I'm not sure what I got--a chili chimichanga? The filling was tasteless. The hot sauce was watery and not hot. The service was poor. Go to the Mexican restaurant across the street. It's much better
