Passing through and stopped here for dinner. We all enjoyed our food and the service. They serve breakfast all day which is nice for a stop along the highway. I ordered a club with fries, my husband the dinner pot roast, and our kids got grilled cheese sandwiches. My husband got the soup and salad with his meal and commented on the BBQ looking good. The waitress was quick, polite, and took good care of us. We would and likely will stop here again next time we pass through. Highly recommend!!

Ok folks this one is a hit or miss, sometimes you get good food sometimes it's edible depends on who works there and how busy it gets ,after all it's a 24/7 for passing truckers, One thing you need to know, never stop by in the middle of the unless you are desperate for something to eat

Stopped here for breakfast as it was the closest place off the interstate. The environment feels like a trucker's diner (and most the customers were large men with trucker's hats). The service was friendly and the portion size was slightly above average. The prices seemed a bit steep for diner food but the coffee was unlimited refills and to go cups. The bathrooms next door in the gas station were clean. If you need a place to stop, this place will do.

Decent place to grab a bite. I think they offered a buffet option, but we ordered off the menu. Waitress wasn't very friendly at first, but got a bit nicer. My guy got the oatmeal and she didn't ask him what type of toast he wanted. I got the classic combo and it was okay.

Not many places to choose from around Oakley exit but this was solid. Service was good - friendly, prompt & attentive. The all-day breakfast is a great option. My wife ordered an omelet for dinner & gave it 4 stars. I had the buffet - salad bar was ok, hot bar was Mexican night - not good & paid for it later. Soup was best part of my meal. Would stop in again, but would order off the menu - likely a breakfast option.

Nice family restaurant conveniently located in the building at the Shell gas station by the TA Travel Center at exit 76. Decent salad bar, good American comfort food options in the menu, large portions, nice waitresses, fast service, and we enjoyed our food very much. Entrees include salad bar and soup. We ordered off the menu instead of the buffet option. Prices are very reasonable! Just don't follow the map gps for this listing because it will tell you to exit at exit 70 and take you five miles off the road to the cemetery then tell you to walk - not a good thing at night. We retraced our way back to the highway and drove up to exit 76 where it really is. We are so glad we were persistent!

We only stopped here because it was late and there was nothing else available. We should have kept driving. Mediocre salad bar, they brought my baked potato about 15 minutes after taking my order, 10 minutes after that, I got a pale, rock hard chicken breast on a plate. I had to drench it in mustard for it to be edible. It's not quick, tasty, or cheap. It has zero redeeming qualities. You'd be better off with a pre-packaged sandwich from the gas station.

Great kids menu with adult size portions with a drink for $4.49. Loved the salad bar and chili was delicious. Great find if you're road tripping thru Kansas. Place was clean and appeared to be updated. Waitresses friendly and fast.

Coming into an off-highway diner like this is always a roll of the dice. Sometimes these places are super awesome, and sometimes they are a horrible let down. Buckhorn was both the former and the latter. I ate at this place twice in one day, as I was in the small town of Oakley all day and this was the only restaurant in approximately 30 miles. For breakfast, I got the pancakes with bacon and eggs. This was a solid meal. The pancakes were big and fluffy, and the syrup was hot. The bacon was a little flimsy for my taste, as I like mine super crispy. The eggs were also delicious. The coffee was your standard, bitter diner coffee. I added cream to mine to make it taste drinkable. It was more of a meal than I could eat by myself. However, dinner was another story. The salad bar was decent. It was the best part of my meal. The soup on the salad bar was not so good though. I ordered the patty melt with a baked potato. Scott ordered the steak and shrimp with a baked potato. My burger came out well done, despite me asking for it medium rare. It also tasted old...just like the baked potato. Scott agreed his food tasted the same way. For dessert, I ordered a piece of apple pie a la mode. The crust was mushy, so I just ate the apples and ice cream. Scott's chocolate milkshake tasted like a liquidy vanilla shake with a dab of chocolate syrup. Not good. The service at the restaurant was good, however. The servers was really nice and attentive. They made my meals a better experience.

There food is absolutely delicious. My parents and I were traveling from Kansas to utah and took our chances on this place, insure of mittens truck stop. Don't let the smell outside the station deter you. We got there in the dark but there must be a feed lot near by. The smell outside is horrible but you can't smell it inside the building. They had an amazing all you can eat buffet with homestyle cooking (beef brisket, mashed potatoes, chicken fried steak, fish, chicken, scallop potatoes, soup, salad bar, and delicious rolls. Plus you could order off the menu. I know this a long review but that was theist satisfying meal at a restaurant that I have had, and the price was right.
