If you want to take my order, walk up to the counter and ask for my order, don't sit there and mumble under your breath from the back of the store and then act like I'm mentally challenged when you then have to repeat your request of "What do you want?"

I spent 8 1/2 agonizing hours at the Kansas DMV today (from 10AM to 6:30PM) and they told us after 1:30 that the DMV was closing to any new customers and locking the doors due to a 'computer problem' further explaining that if we left the doors nobody could get back in. Around 4PM I was getting hungry so I remembered the Jimmy Johns commercials about how fast they deliver and decided to try them out. I have never eaten at Jimmy Johns before but I hopped on the website and choose the Turkey sub and clicked order to see what happened. To my amazement less than 10 minutes later the Jimmy Johns lady was at the door, the DMV let her in and announced "Is there a Robert Jackson here?" which was fun as the 300 other people locked in the DMV watched me collect my delivery and tip the lady. The turkey sub was good, fresh and FAST and I was completely impressed with my first experience. The highlight of my day waiting for 8+ hours at a SLOW government office was the speedy Jimmy Johns delivery people bringing a delicious fresh sandwich!

JJ's has always been one of my favorite sub shops. A friend of mine told me about them roughly 20 years ago when I lived in Chicago. At that time they didn't do the whole "freaky fast thing". They just made delicious subs on fresh bread at a great price. I got addicted to their subs, and went there so often that we decided to make it our mission to try every one on the menu. While they were all great, my personal favorite was always the Bootlegger...aah memories. Flash to present day and there is a Jimmy John's around every corner. It's like every Tom, Dick, & Harry wants a piece of the action. While they might look the same and feature the same subs, it doesn't necessarily mean they give the same quality of service. Which leads me to the review below. As Chad S. said the Mission location is a disappointment. They have issues getting orders right. It doesn't matter if it's a online order, a dine-in order, delivery or pick up, they are almost always wrong. I've asked for peppers (which cost extra!) and didn't get any peppers. I've asked for no mayo and get home to find my sub swimming in mayo. I've asked for wheat bread and they show up with white. You get the idea. Look, I'm not going to blame the high school students that work there. They probably have to deal with this ridiculous "freaky fast" mentality. But it is getting out of control. They need to go back to the basics. Slow it down and get the order right. Maybe when you start to get orders right you can speed things up? Just one more thing. Why do they have to scream "Welcome to Jimmy John's!!"? A simple greeting would be so much more effective. Seven people screaming it at the same time is just obnoxious. I miss the old Chicago location.

I usually buy a variety of un-wiches (sandwich wrapped in lettuce), beef & ham, beef, turkey & bacon, turkey & sprouts add bacon. I buy my boyfriend the Italian Night Club normally. The chips are good, kettle style, Thinny Chips, Jalapeno, regular... They're all good. Service has always been friendly to me here & the orders have always been right...

Since my initial review, the staff at this JJ's location has improved dramatically. I have continued to frequent this location because it is close to my house. As of late, my orders have been prepared as requested and the staff has been friendly. Perhaps, with more time, this location will earn an additional star.

I am torn between 2 and 3 stars. Since the sandwich was decent I went to 3. So I have lunch here today with a friend of mine. There was a small line when we arrived but we were greeted promptly. The sandwich maker guy took my order and got busy making the sandwich. By the time I finished my order, the sandwich was ready. I waited with my friend while she ordered her sandwich. She asked for water - and I piped up - Oh I'd like one too. Friend then changed to soda and I never saw a water. Boo. Next I found a seat and realized that there weren't napkins on the table. I got up and wandered around until I finally found some near where they were making sandwiches. Friend and I sat down and ate our lunch. And that's when the music started blasting Nirvana. So loudly we couldn't hear ourselves think let alone each other. It was horrible SO LOUD. It really turned the experience into a poor one for me. I tried to get someone's attention but to no avail. By the time the red hot chili peppers came on we were ready to leave. I think they said goodbye as we left but we couldn't hear because Anthony Kiedis was dreaming of californication. Pro: Good Sandwiches, fast service Con: LOUD MUSIC, no napkins on the table, none offered by the staff when ordering, no water when asked for it - nor was it offered. Probably should have put it down to 2 starts but it's Friday...

I don't know what was going on but the place smelled like a litter box. I was honestly a bit scared to eat the sandwich... That completely killed it for me.

Do not order from them online! Your order will most likely be wrong and or extremely late. Seriously, one hour and forty minutes to receive my last sandwich and you still got it wrong and forgot the chips! Yeah, so fast you freak out on the hypocrisy of it all. Jimmy Johns use to be great, but have faced a steady decline to do their sprawl. As seeing Jimmy Johns rated as one of the worst places to work it shows in their sandwich making abilities due to the fact that they are now drawing from the bottle of the barrel. Way to go corporate greed! And after getting sick of my last meal why don't you just change your name to "I can't believe it's not salmonella."

Excellent sandwiches with extremely quick service! People are very enthusiastic and music was rocking! Try it all or ask for assistance, but definitely take your time on the menu because it will be ready in seconds!

Don't get me wrong, I love Jimmy John's food. Yet this particular store is awful. I live one street away from the cut off for the delivery, not even joking, and they wouldn't come to my house even after I offered to pay a bigger tip. To add on top of that, the employees making the sandwiches are not happy whenever I come into the store. I try to frequently check in and see if service has gotten better, but it never seems to improve.

This location is awful. The drivers are friendly but delivery is always slow. Today my lunch took over and hour. I ordered a club unwich, and it is the saddest sandwich ever! The lettuce they used must have been scraps bc theres not even enough to cover one side of the ingredients, it's floppy and soggy and falling apart even with the paper wrapped around it. So i did something i rarely do and called the store. The manager was rude, impatient, and totally did not care at all what i had to say. She even tried to tell me that the sandwich was fine, and that there isnt supposed to be letuce all the way around it... I love jjs but this store needs a management makeover!

Cancelled my delivery order after 25 minute wait at 2pm on Sunday I live literally 1/4 mike away. He also answered the phone "hello" I thought I had called some stoners cell phone. This is a poorly run Jimmy Johns. If you order a pickle be dang sure it's in the bag because they forget it 75% of the time.

Worst JJ experience ever. I love JJ because of their great attitude service and food. The lady making sandwiches today was in a foul mood and spread it to her team. Too bad.

I prefer Mr. Good cents. Only reason they got 2 stars is because they had a great idea for the "unwich" which is a no bun sandwich wrapped in lettuce. You cannot see all the options there, and they finish making the sandwiches before I had a chance to add anything like bacon and peppers, etc.. Mine was way too salty, like it was full of preservatives. Will. not go back...

If I'm needing a simple, quick sandwich that's not made on a greasy grill, Jimmy John's has always been my go-to. As a native Illinoisan, Jimmy John's and fancier stepcousin Potbelly Sandwich Shop have been a little taste of home for me, and at JJ's, the price is right. This location, near my house, has not been a disappointment. Granted, I don't have a complicated order (it is ALWAYS a #13 Gourmet Veggie Club), and I never call or fax it in, but my order has always been right, the service always prompt and pleasant. It's a small storefront, as most JJ's are, so I usually only do takeout, but it hasn't let me down yet. Long live the avocado spread.
