Huge portions, great selection, really good prices and excellent service. We had the chicken fried chicken, meatloaf and chicken Parmesan/Alfredo. They came with sides, salads (awesome honey mustard dressing, with your own bottle to serve yourself) and yummy homemade rolls with real butter. This is like eating at ur grandma's house if ur grandma was an amazing cook. Meals for three people was $25! This is the place to eat, y'all. Seriously.

This is the first time here for my husband and I and if we come back to Liberal we'll definitely be back. We had an enjoyable time, great service and amazing food! My husband enjoyed his meal just as much. I have no complaints for the Cattleman's Cafe. Come, enjoy, walk away stuffed!

This makes me sad because once again I trusted Yelp only to be let down. This food was not homemade and it was ready to eat in about 5 minutes. It all tasty generic, pre-made, and comes from a box or can. They don't even make their own gravy it comes from a package and that is just depressing to me. Our server was not friendly and only asked us what we wanted and dropped off the ticket. I will say the prices were very reasonable but when you are served garbage they should be.

We dine here often when we have family come into town. The food is always fresh and great. Always friendly and attentive. The menu has a lot of selection and does have great options for picky eaters! Never disappointed at this restaurant!

Great stop on a long drive across country! Awesome rolls - just like my mom makes! Good home cooked food and nice server :) I'm glad we stopped here. The food came fast and hot! This is exactly what we needed on a long road trip!

Nice selection of home cooked meal options. My wife and I love the hot beef sandwich and the chicken and Spinach salad (with bacon dressing). Service is usually quick.

On 05/23/15, we had dinner here. Our waitress, Beatrice, was extremely rude. She took a long time to gather our order. She did not even check on us. The food was plain and bland. Most of us were sick to our stomachs that evening. If you want Rude Service and Tasteless Food this is the place for you.

I travel 85% of the year and miss out on all the home cooked meals. There isn't much in liberal, ks but this pace stands out. I had the chopped steak as it was great . I'll be going back there every night for the rest of my stay here

This is the only "real" restaurant in Liberal. All the rest are either chains or specialty places. Try the Chicken Fried Steak or the Chicken Fried Chicken - sides are plentiful and always good. Bread leaves a bit to be desired but ya' can't have everything! Good food - Good service and reasonable! What else do ya' want from a small town restaurant! Homemade everything!

I just ate,there last week. The waitress was so very young I don't think she ever waited on a table before. I made the mistake of ordering the Ribeye steak. Thin, very very thin. I am still trying to make up my mind if it was spoiled. Nauseating taste. An expensive and bad experience.

Tonight a colleague and I are staying the night in liberal. We heard from a few people to give Cattlemans a try. So unfamiliar with the area we wandered our way across town to what seemed like a very classy establishment. When we walked in we were happily greeted and offered dinner rolls that were exceptional. (the best part of my experience) I ended up ordering a meatball sandwich and he ordered a chicken fried steak. Once we received our food we were highly disappointed. My meatball sub was actually chopped up meatloaf on a stale piece of bread and my fries tasted like they were microwaved. The marinara sauce that came on the side of my sandwich tasted like hot ketchup with Italian seasoning in it. My colleagues chicken fried steak was par and his mashed potatoes and gravy were instant. All in all I will never eat at this place again. I actually only took two bites of my food and ended up going to Arby's!

This is another go to place in Liberal. Everything I've tried has been well prepared and tasty. Every visit we must order a plate of their batter fried mushrooms with gravy. The portion sizes are HUGE! But they do offer half sized portions. All the wait staff is super friendly and fast.

Was in Liberal Ks for a week for my job last month and happened to be staying at the hotel next door. Had some really awful Chinese the first night in town so I decided to try out Cattleman's II the next night since it was about 50 feet outside my door. All I can say is FANTASTIC !!! I had the pork chop dinner that night,with fried okra and a loaded baked potato. Everything was delicious . The iced tea was very good as well. When you travel as much as I do you appreciate some good quality home cooking when you find it. I enjoyed their food so much I ate there the next 3 nights and for lunch on my last day. Everything I had was cooked to perfection and you could tell it was made from scratch. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. That week I tried the meat loaf, chicken dinner special and the homemade enchilada special for lunch. Wait staff were all very friendly and fast. If you find yourself stuck in Liberal around dinner time Cattleman's II is a no brainer!

In town from a series of unfortunate events that ended a family member in the hospital with a broken ankle. Me and the rest of us needed a good meal before going back to the hotel and saw this place in the nick of time. Came in and almost ordered the BBQ chicken over rice but changed to a Philly cheese steak thinking I'd "play it safe"! Either way I'm sure it would have been great. The sandwich had great flavor and a good portion. My family all enjoyed their food as well. The service is nice small town waitresses. Great joint.
