Got their breakfast blend drip coffee, which is from Topeca Roasters in Tulsa and wifey got sticky bun latte. Says it's the best latte she has ever had and the drip coffee was well above average. They were knowledgeable about their coffee, which was refreshing and I would go back if in the area again.

A lovely little coffee shop at the corner of Independence's downtown. The coffee was very good, and they were more than happy to help us out with special orders. The breakfast food was also quite good. We had the bacon and egg frittata as well as the bacon quiche. Both were made quickly and were very good. A nice little surprise.

Great place to stop and have lunch! They have a nice selection of sandwiches, soup, salad, freshly baked items and wonderful tasting coffee drinks! You won't be disappointed.

We've been here twice, when we are in town. I think it's the healthiest and freshest food in independence! Both the tomato soup and the tortilla soup were super tasty and compare to anything I get on the west coast. We just love this place! Kind service and you can't beat the lunch half soup and sandwich deal. Fantastic coffee.

The Roast beef sandwich with cheddar and red pepper was fresh and filling. The ham and cream cheese on toasted raisin bread might sound strange but it was super yummy. They have a nice selection of muffins the raspberry muffin was delicious and prices are reasonable. This place is great.

During our family reunion in July, a group of approximately 40 of us ate lunch at Ane Mae's. We did not have a reservation, but when we checked with the shop, they said we could use their meeting room in the back of the store. We ordered sandwiches and salads at the counter. All food was pronounced excellent. My own "Cuban" sandwich was delicious. The drinks included iced teas, some of which were flavored teas. The store's associates invited us to get drinks and chips, and then be seated while they prepared and brought the sandwiches and salads. Our party included senior citizens, children of a wide variety of ages, and one member in a wheelchair. Everyone was treated with the greatest courtesy by the staff. I would recommend this shop for anyone who is looking for a good sandwich or salad.

What a discovery in the middle of small-town Kansas! Great coffee (featuring Tulsa's own Topeca roasts), super-friendly staff, and a small grocery of natural, organic foods.

05/11/2014 Update: Good variety of coffee and tea drinks, scones, muffins, cookies... Smoothies are great! Delicious and generously made sandwiches are now around $6, including your coffee or tea and gourmet chips. The chef salad is awesome! Many options to how your food is prepared. To get the free wi-fi, just ask for the security code. Seating extends into the mall inner hallway and across to another large eating area. Front sidewalk tables in good weather. Tulsa World newspaper circulates every day. Closed Sundays and early on Saturday. Open 7 - 5 M-F & 8 - 2 Sat. Friendly service and a place to meet people in a setting where you feel at home. There's even a book lending library and local information bulletin board. Almost any kind of coffee drink you would like and four varieties of excellent brewed coffee are just the start to a great dining experience at Ane Mae's.
