Best burgers in Gardner. Their beef is ground in house from steak, the buns are grilled to perfection, and their pickle chips are second to none. They also have a surprising amount of other offerings including the delicious Siracha chicken bites and occasionally offered delicious tamales.

I ordered the brisket sandwich, my date had the pulled pork sandwich. Also had a selection of Coke and Pepsi which was quite refreshing (pun intended). After one bite, she said "damn" and I said "holy s that is good". I'm on a mission (from god) to eat at every BBQ place in the KC area. Blazers was right on par with the top tier BBQ places in KC. Will for sure be going back here again.

Pretty good place. Good burgers the fries could be a little more crispy they were limp but they were really busy so I will overlook it this time

I love it here. I get the hot dog and fries. It gets a little bit of business but is not always busy. The ice cream is superb.

I love this place! I grew up coming to this restaurant as it was one of the few places to eat out in my hometown in the 70s and 80s. Blazers has undergone two ownership changes since the originals sold about five or six years ago. This set of owners has returned Blazers food to it's glory days and made updates to the menu offerings and the decor. I have heard great things about the BBQ now offered, but when I'm in the mood for Blazers I want a Blazer Burger or a burrito, Sour Cream and Chive Fries and a peanut butter shake. I can still get all of these items at Blazers Restaurant and for that I'm eternally grateful. They taste like my childhood. The restaurant is clean. The help is always friendly - usually a high school kid but they do a great job training them in customer service. The food is great! Some people feel Blazers is a bit pricy (I've heard this complaint since the first owners ran the place) but I think the quality of food makes it worth the price. I would gladly drive right past Sonic or Micky D's to get a Blazer Burger and those delicious fries! Will I go back? Probably the next time I'm in G-Town I'll stop in. It's also a great place to bump into some locals.

Blazers is a great place to grab a good burger. Small town feel with friendly people.

Great burger and fries. Kids menu items seem to all be frozen then fried though. Not too fresh. Our 2 year old didn't like the nuggets (and that's never happened before).

Great small-town burger joint. High schoolers working at the counter and yummy burgers being eaten. Blazers is named after the Gardner-Edgerton High School mascot the "Trailblazers". The burgers are thick patties and the fries are crisy cut. They have chicken fingers and tacos as well. You can get a meal deal on almost anything there. They have flavored ice cream as well. And if you are Gardner resident, you'll probably run into someone you know while you're there!

Great burgers, curly fries, onion rings and shakes. Burgers cooked on a flat grill, basic furniture, small place... The sign of a good joint.

I tend to like my burgers cooked on a flat-top grill. You don't see that too much these days. There are still a few places in town that cook on a flat-top grill, and Blazers is one of them. The burgers at Blazer's are not the thin patties that get the delicious crispy "crust" from the grill like you might expect at Winstead's, but the Blazer burgers are very tasty. They are large so you may think twice before getting a double or not. Fries were crinkle cut and fine but not remarkable in any way. They also have waffle cut fries available. They do offer burritos and such on the menu, but I have not tried those. I did however see one of the owners? get one for what that's worth. Overall, I recommend Blazer's if you are in Gardner and want an old fashioned burger

Wow! What a great place. Well worth drive to Gardner. We split three meals for 4 of us. The brisket is awesome. Loved it. Loose meat style very lean. My favorite. And I hate loose meat brisket. The burgers were good. And the fried chicken was awesome. My wife thought it was scrumptious. Our neighboring diners said the tenderloins are good. The lady behind counter said the pulled pork was popular. The beans were boring. The fries were ok. The ice cream cones (soft serve) have something called a flavorburst. 6 flavors to choose from like cheesecake and strawberry! Wow! It had striped of flavoring on sides of cone! Never had anything like it. Huge. It was good and reasonable for only a buck fifty! Loved this place. Can't wait to go back. Heard about it at the Olathe Chamber! Make the drive South you won't be disappointed. The place is open on Sundays, and in business despite what other reviewers said. A great surprise!

The best "quick" order food in town. The selection is awesome and the staff are great! I love the bbq sandwiches and their catfish dinner.

After reading some good reviews i had high hopes for the hamburgers here. Unfortunately mine had no flavor at all. It's not that it tasted bad, just really had no flavor. The seasoned curly fries were hot and crisp but it seemed like the seasoning was cooked on with nothing added after frying them, not even salt. As i was leaving i ordered a choc/vanilla twist cone and instead of getting half choc/half vanilla ice cream they use all vanilla with a chocolate syrup highlighting the twist. Kind of a novelty concept and allows them to have flavors like cotton candy and green apple twist cones, but not quite what i expected. You can tell this is a local favorite and they support the schools in town too. Maybe i just had a bad day and will try them at least once more before writing them off but i'll order something besides the cheeseburger

This place is cute. We visited on a Sunday evening so it wasn't bust at all. I had a burger. It was good and juicy and a tad greasy. My husband like the brisket sandwich. Too me it wasn't anything spectacular but I think I'll be back

Ok. I eat here every Monday for lunch. One of the best burger places in the entire Kansas City area. The owners are in house working right along side everyone else. The quality of the food is second to none. Their bar-b-que is one of the best kept secrets in the bar-b-que world. If the smoked sausage hogie is the special, the order it instead of the best hamburger around. You are "family" when you eat here.

Was looking for an old style burger place. Blazers nailed it. This is exactly what I was wanted. Local flavor ( High School team pictures on the walls). Friendly staff (Dawn, the owner is perfect dealing with customers) and of course great burgers. Wendy's said they had "Hot n Juicy" burgers. Not compared to Blazers. You might have guessed I was pretty happy finding this place . My only problem is I live in a different state and won't be able to come and eat when I want.

If you are looking for a great burger in Southern Johnson County, it doesn't get any better than Blazers. I've never had a bad burger here. They are delicious, hot, fresh, juicy, and the meat is ground in house. My go-to order is the Blazer cheeseburger with everything, and my wife and I split an order of the pickle chips. I've also tried the Mexican food- the tamales and tacos were good, but the real star here is their burgers. I've gotten the double Blazer before, and had a hard time finishing it. No skimpy burgers here!

A quality, small town burger joint that embraces and supports the local sports culture. As an "out-of-towner" I was aware of my non-local status but felt welcomed by the small town hospitality. From the waitress' "see you tomorrow" to the locals and a friendly hand my the shoulder, "How you doing darlin," the staff reminded me of the perks of a small community. The varied options for fries (I went with chive and onion) was a fun touch, and while satisfied with the patty melt, the burger seemed a little thin for the price. Blazers seems to be a staple that anyone passing through looking to get a feel for the community would likely enjoy.

I love the chicken fingers, the fries (there are at least three different choices of fries), and the chicken club sandwich. This is a great place to grab a good meal, and top it off with some yummy ice cream!! I definitely recommend Blazers!

The place was packed with Soldiers from the Chinook helicopter unit nearby. How cool, a local restaurant supporting the troops, and the troops supporting a local restaurant. The food is fresh and tasty, the prices very reasonable. AMAZING BURGERS... The service was exceptional, felt like I was at home. If you're in Gardner Kansas, and need a bite to eat, bypass the norm and pay BLAZERS a visit. You will not be disappointed.

I would say Blazer's has good food. What I would not recommend is using them as a caterer. I waited a year to write this review as I was so angry on my wedding day with Wally, I knew I would be unfair to write something right after the event. My mother and I spent time during my wedding photos on the phone with Wally attempting to convince him to actually bring our food to the wedding. You see Wally was pissed off because our wedding venue had a time line for caterers, which he didn't read and showed up early. Unfortunately the venue was not flexible (which was annoying) and would not let him in early. He went back to Gardner from Baldwin City and refused to return. When I spoke with him and told him he was ruining our wedding day he started screaming and cussing at me. My mom finally talked some sense into him and they came back, but I experienced some unneeded and unwanted stress due to this business and I highly recommend using someone else for catering. I will say the food was good, because I am an honest person and feel I need to be truthful, but he needs to work on his people skills.
