Blazers Restaurant

Best burgers in Gardner. Their beef is ground in house from steak, the buns are grilled to perfection, and their pickle chips are second to none. They also have a surprising amount of other offerings including the delicious Siracha chicken bites and occasionally offered delicious tamales.
Great food, burgers are fantastic as are the grilled chicken sandwiches Try the grilled chicken sandwich The barbecue is well above average ribs are excellent !! Friendly staff that care Often free cake/cookies at lunch Place can be busy but worth it I often drive 24 miles RT just for lunch Give it a try you will like it!
I ordered the brisket sandwich, my date had the pulled pork sandwich. Also had a selection of Coke and Pepsi which was quite refreshing (pun intended). After one bite, she said "damn" and I said "holy s that is good". I'm on a mission (from god) to eat at every BBQ place in the KC area. Blazers was right on par with the top tier BBQ places in KC. Will for sure be going back here again.

China Taste

"The best American Chinese in Gardner, Kansas" isn't exactly a ringing endorsement, but that's exactly what China Taste is. China Taste is what one might expect from a relatively cheap Chinese restaurant, only their food quality exceeds the ordinary. No matter how much you order, your food will be ready for pick-up in 10 to 15 minutes. Everything is made fresh, and the cooks know what they're doing. The combination dishes are big enough to feed any appetite, and are packaged cheaply in plastic/foil trays. I can personally recommend the general chicken, beef/chicken and broccoli, and pepper steak /w onion. The place itself is a hole-in-the-wall, with very little seating. The kitchen is easily viewable from the register. I've never eaten inside the establishment because it's noisy and hot. I recommend their take out. If you're craving Americanized Chinese, go ahead and give it a try. Storm
My feelings about this place pretty much echo what's already been posted - good stuff. I will add that if you get takeout and don't live 20 minutes away, you'd better be careful when you grab things out of the bag. Your food will be HOT! It seems like a little detail thing, but it's great how they stick cardboard in between the layers of things in the bag so you don't have a big bag of soup when you get home. My wife and I have never had a bad meal from this place. The Buddhist Delight with tofu is good for the herbivores in the crowd.
We have been living in Gard-ner for 12 years. This plave has become our favorite place to eat. I give them 5 stars because their food is great, the service is fast, and the people are the most friendly even under the most stressful busy times we have been there. Thank you for all the wonderful food and service.

Good down home cooking at it's best. Very friendly staff.
What a great little place we stumbled across while out on a motorcycle ride on a beautiful and crisp September morning! Todd's is "Country Cookin" at its finest. As we walked in the door, we were greeted by an older gentleman (Todd maybe?) with a friendly smile. We were quickly seated and our server brought us our drinks while we studied the breakfast side of the menu. There were a few regulars that the staff knew on a "first name basis". We chatted with one of them, Mike, a regular since moving to the area 6 years ago. We commented on how friendly everyone was and how they really seemed to know their guests. Mike shared with us that he contributed one of the many signs posted around the place (the "Beware of attack waitress" one!). As far as the menus goes, they have plenty of healthier options as well as "heart attacks on a plate" and everything in between! I settled on eggs over easy with diced potatoes and a big buttery biscuit and Shawn got the veggie egg-white omelette with fresh fruit and one HUGE pancake. We will definitely be back!
At a recent family reunion, my brother-in-law who well knows my tastes in food and restaurants brought me here twice - once for dinner, once for breakfast. He knows me well, indeed. Todd's is unpretentious, low key and knows how to put plenty of good food on the plate. 14 of us ate there one night and the service couldn't have been any better. The iced tea never stopped coming and the waitress never stopped smiling. We ate shrimp, we ate chicken, we ate steak. The sides were ample, well prepared and a perfect accompaniment. Amazingly, most of us had room for pie which was well received by all. Todd's isn't a chain - it's run by good folks who care about good food and making you feel at home. We'll go back. Too bad it's so far away.

Good pizza.....for gardener. Cheap but lunch is too busy.
Yum! I'm not a huge fan of pizza but we ordered it on Halloween night to be delivered to our new house as we were handing out candy. They told us it would be between an hour and an hour and a half before it got delivered because they were swamped since it was Halloween, but we got ours in about forty-five minutes. Well worth the wait anyways!

best Mexican food I have EVER had. all the restaurants in Kansas city do not even come close. I am a huge fan, it is a must stop for me once a week. their whole menu is excellent but I recommend enchiladas or tamales! can't go wrong. I love their hot salsa, but my only complaint is their mild salsa is very average.... great staff, great service!
We were just in the area and really liked it. Great food, service and prices!
Good stuff. Similar to OTB, but nicer. It's a simple clean place with a friendly helpful staff. They don't have Sonoran Hot Dogs, but the food that they do have is prepared well and we'll go back.

I'm an avid sushi consumer and I was VERY impressed with the sushi from Heiwa! I had the baked mussels, which are to die for. My friend and I also had the volcano roll, lobster roll, and the crunchy crab roll. The volcano roll was amazing! The other rolls were good as well, but the volcano roll was my favorite. The service is very friendly and attentive and they remember their customers! Highly recommend and will be going back many more times. Great addition to the Gardner area!
Delicious. We came for a late lunch and I had the dual sushi plate and my boyfriend got the bento box. I had no complaints what's so ever. Relaxing setting, clean restaurant with delicious tempura sushi
Fantastic food! I try to come here at least a couple of times a month for my chicken fried rice fix! :)

Stopped in around 6 on a Wednesday. First time I had ever been there. Sat at the bar. Jessica waited on me. She was excellent! She introduced herself (why doesn't every bar staff do this?) and generally treated me like a regular. I ordered a club sandwich and sweet potato fries. Jessica suggested some dipping sauce for the fries. The food came out quickly and was very good. Well done, Austin's!
Pretty neat bar good happy hour prices and offers. Cool experience! They have TV 's everywhere nice place customer service is great. I sat at the bar to have a a beer to kill time but I ended up being there for 3 beers and 3 testers of beers my bartender named Brandie with an "I" okay I forget if there an e in her name or not but she was great that's what customer service is all about! I ended up tipping her $20! Customer service there is amazing people just should get on technology to use yelp to help this business out. Their staff A++++ I'll deff come back because of the service
Horrible. We were on our way home to KC. Stopped by to have a late dinner. Food was absolutely unacceptable. Burger fell apart and was completely unable to maintain it's "patty." The grilled chicken bun was so soggy it was disgusting. To top things off, there was such a crowd of "kids" screaming, at the top of their lungs, every vulgarity you could think of. I finally asked them to move, and, quite a crowd of them started "ganging up" on me. We finally left, realizing we were in some redneck town, and, this is how they run their business. The waitress said she called her manager. But, there were still two or three guys hanging around egging on a fight. Really? I left high school decades ago. Won't be back. If you're into more "family friendly," I'd avoid this place. At least on a Friday night. Edit: our waitress was pleasant. But, there seemed to be no one controlling this obnoxiously loud atmosphere.

Waffle House Inc 1126

Reviews:
What is your expectation of a waffle house? Mine is of a decent waffle with other breakfast food for a relatively affordable price. This Waffle House delivers on that. No, it is not a fancy place. Most of the seating is up against the counter that boxes in the cooking area. There are two other small two seater booths against the window, and a number of free floating chairs. The servers help you from behind the counter and, for no apparent reason, they call out their orders to the cooks that are 5 feet away at the grill top and waffle irons. Nice people, but not really up for engaging in conversation with the clients unless you are a regular. The food is good and fast. I tend to get the same thing, which is the All American, which is a waffle, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. It's consistently tasty. Don't expect some fancy Top Chef arty meal. This is a chain restaurant road side diner. Expect good simple food. Four stars for consistency and quick friendly service. :-)
If you want to eat at a dirty table you've found the place! I came into the restaurant and every open table still had yet to be cleaned. I sat down at one, which they did clear the dishes of within a couple of minutes. After having to be reminded by the cook my waitress finally came over to only wipe off the edge of the table, showed me the menu and stared at me waiting to take my order. I had to ask for a few minutes to look at the menu and ordered a coffee. Got my order in shortly afterwards but she never brought my coffee. Instead she stood behind the counter ordering the other server to get drinks for her tables and flirted with a Vietnam vet regular while he complimented the biscuits she cooked. Server with the pony tail finally brought it after I asked for it. Thankfully the food was decent. Forget about getting a refill, the lady next to me never got her coffee refilled and also had dried eggs on her silverware and warned me to check mine. Another family came in saw all the dirty tables and walked out. The gentleman next to me never got the counter around him cleaned off. Sitting on the counter (that customers were supposed to eat at) were two used scratcher tickets, a hair clip, a monster energy drink, dirty dishes with food still on them and at least four dirty cups. The manager had to tell Mr. Ponytail twice to get it cleaned. Towards the end it just started to become amusing how disorganized they were. It was like watching a bunch of squirrels try to run a kitchen. I'd also like to mention there were four people plus a manager working and only 10-15 customers. I can honestly say that the Waffle House off of 435 on Front Street in Kansas City proper is cleaner and better organized than this one. They have lot lizzards and crack heads hanging around and some how manage to look better than the one in lil ol Gardner Kansas.

Haven't been to a BK in forever but needed a quick bite before we finished our trip home. Staff was friendly and happy. That itself is unique in a fast food restaurant but the food was fast hot and delish. The manager was a hoot and the entire place was extremely clean. Seen other comments on a lackluster service but all I have to say is I must have gotten lucky or the day crew is the best crew. Thanks
11:15 at night at this 24 hour fast food joint and the manager is outrageously rude to me. I was wanting just one shake and he yells at me and tells me the machine is in the middle a 4 to 5 hour cleaning cycle.
This review is a little unfair because I haven't eaten "fast food" in years and they get 2 stars because service was friendly. Early morning flight and I was starving. The only place around was drive through at Burger King. I figured the sausage egg sandwich would be safe. Halfway through I realize that the 1 night stand I had with Birtha Collins during high school tasted better than this sandwich. I didn't want the smell lingering in my car but didn't want to poison the wildlife around me so I had to find a trash bin behind the Walmart. As I lifted the container lid a small man jumped out with a 'I love Birtha" tattoo on his bicep. I offered him the uneaten half of my sandwich for memory sake.
