What a great find! Good coffee and great sandwiches. Excellent atmosphere. The pastries are freshly made (no store bought stuff here). I was in town for several days and spent as much time here as I did in my meetings!
The coffee isn't as strong or hot as Starbucks, but the atmosphere is great and the scones are the best. It's a great place to hang out with friends.
Great little coffee shop. Friendly and well stocked in coffee, food, and adult beverages. Every little town needs one of these.

Really good home cooked small town meal. Nothing fancy, homemade pie, great place, there isn't a lot of choices in town. Good place!!
Summary- Down home family place delivers pretty solid food for short $. Food- 3 Stars We had some sandwiches, mine was the chicken fried steak, wifey had a turkey sandwich and it was fine. Mine could have been a little more tender, the steak was chewy. The fries were also good enough. Service- 5 Stars Super nice waitstaff and all around quick. Atmosphere- 3 Stars Typical local place in a small town. Lots of seating. Value- 4 Stars Inexpensive pretty darn good food.
Please post your hours on yelp for those traveling. Stopped in at 7:00 on a Sat night and found closed. Luckily there was another restaurant close by but we wanted to try this place.

Heavy’s BBQ

I think the review written by Laura must have been from an employee. If you love BBQ do not eat here unless you stay away from it. They put the ribs under a broiler to reheat them and they are very fatty. The BBQ sauce is a poor attempt at something. They would be better off just buying bottles of sauce at Walmart and serving that. The coleslaw is store bought not homemade. The only redemption at all was their sweet potato chips, they are excellent.
great bbq, had the smokes ribs and fell off the bone, family had the smoked pork and my youngest son commented this is his new favorite place to eat
Very disappointing. Recognizing that you don't have many choices in a small town but went there on the recommendation of two people. I ordered the brisket with beans and fries. The brisket was very fatty and i couldn't eat but half of the order. The sections of the brisket that weren't fatty left a bitter after taste. The waitress and owner indicated that they smoke the brisket with pine wood. Unfortunately it just didn't work for me. The owner apologized and brought out what he said was a better and less fatty brisket however it was just the same and still was inedible. Still trying to get rid of this bitter after taste.

Had to order the fried mushrooms, and I was not disappointed. Ranch dipping sauce was good. Mushrooms are whole button mushrooms breaded and deep fried. Simple but a must if you like mushrooms.

McDonald’s

A typical McDonalds as far as the food goes. Nothing great buy cheap. This particular store fails in its service. The drive thru people rarely get your order right the first time, and they are not friendly at all when they take your money. Orders are also often messed up. Not a good experience compared to other McDonalds in the area.
I actually gave this place two tries this last weekend. I went to the drive thru on Saturday the 11th of January, 2014 at 7:00 AM. The breakfast menu wasn't displayed on the board, so I was telling the female order taker what I wanted. I said "bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit" several times to have them repeat "breakfast burrito and sausage McMuffin". After trying to order and having this incompetence, I drove away. The next morning I went into the restaurant to order. I ordered a "bacon, egg, and cheese" combo and coffee. When I got my order and went back to my car, I noticed that the biscuit was hard like they had baked it too long. Plus, the hashbrown wasn't hot at all. I figure after two tries in two days, I'm not going back.
