It may be a little outside Hutch, but it's worth the drive. The staff is very friendly, and the food is incredibly delicious. It's really a charming restaurant, with a great small town atmosphere. It's also nice that they have a lot of different daily specials: It makes the menu fresh every time you go. The Mustard Seed is a fantastic restaurant, plain and simple.

I've been eating here 3-4 times a week since the Seed opened in 2004. I never tire of the delicious choices available: always fresh ingredients and expertly prepared . The selection is wonderful and the desserts are delicious. The menu is eclectic...more big city than small town. It would be hard for me to pick favorites...everything is outstanding. Along with the delicious food & the ambiance, the Kaufmans and their friendly staff make this a great place for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and beverages. Cameron even smokes his own pastrami and corned beef which are offered as specials when available. Come fall and winter, the soups are especially delicious. Always full of locals...and those traveling a bit to get here for the great food! Definitely worth a day trip to Buhler just to eat here.

Mustard Seed Coffee Shop and Deli at 214 (Not 216) North Main, Buhler, KS is a totally delightful place and experience! From the chalk board outside the front door highlighting some of the day's specials, to the golden yellow interior walls displaying beautiful art, to the wooden floors and dark wood tables and chairs, colorful tablecloths on some tables, and silk sunflowers in blown-glass vases on all the tables, this place is a visual delight. There are several stools at the counter, a couple tables for two, several tables for four, and a couple that will seat six to eight people. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Breakfast is served 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. As warm and wonderful as the atmosphere is, the food and drink are even better! Today was the second time my Mom and a sister and I have lunched here, and each time, it has been tough to decide which of the yummy offerings to order. Their regular menu is loaded with tempting sandwiches and beverages ... and then there are the daily specials! The first time there, we each had one of the daily special quiches. They were excellent! I had hoped they'd be the special today, but they weren't, so I had a build-your-own sandwich of Yoder ham, swiss cheese, and sourdough bread, grilled ($5.99). It was wonderful! All sandwiches are served with Art & Mary's Original Kettle Style potato chips and a pickle spear. Mom had half of a Hula Ham sandwich (one of the specials), and pronounced it very good. My sister and her daughter split a Southwest Turkey sandwich($5.99), and enjoyed every bite. They also shared a Mango Smoothie, and pronounced it very tasty. My niece also had the Fresh Fruit special ($2.25), a gorgeous selection of pineapple, strawberries, melon, and more in a tall ice cream-type glass. Super fresh! Super yummy! Mom had blackberry cobbler with ice cream($2.99), and said it was some of the best she's ever had ... and she's 93! Our server was a very helpful, patient, friendly young man, who answered all our questions, and honored special requests with grace and good humor. He told us that Mustard Seed uses local meats and produce as much as possible. It showed. Everything was fresh and delicious. Some of the day's other specials were: Chef Salad, $5.99; Pasta Salad, $1.75; Albacore Tuna, $6.25; Mediterranean Roast Beef $6.99; Cherry Pie, $2.99; Tiramisu, $2.99; and M&M or Turtle Cookies, $1.50. If I'm ever in town early enough, you'll definitely see me there for breakfast! And I haven't even touched on their beverages ... all kinds of coffees and teas, chai tea, steamers, smoothies, Italian sodas and cream sodas, frozen drinks, fountain drinks, white and chocolate milk, hot chocolate, and more! Check out their complete menu, and see photos of the shop on their website: feedattheseed.com And, if you ever make it here ... tell them you read about them on Yelp!

This is a sweet little place on the Main Street of Buhler. Their signature sandwiches are delicious. I like the chicken with blackberry jam. It is amazing. I am sure their other food is too, but I cannot get past the chicken. Do try this place out.

I always bring my Mom here when I'm in town. The sandwiches are good, I prefer the pastrami or Ruben sandwich, but portions are less then they once were and the broccoli soup was good but not impressive. If you in Hutch, it's an easy drive to Buhler and worth the stop.
