Very unprofessional!!! We ordered 3 different meals and 2 were pretty good. My selection was VERY bland, every bite tasted the same. It was not good. When the server asked how things were I mentioned I did not like my meal, and had pushed it away while sharing the other 2 peoples meals. The lady owner came out and literally started arguing with me, in front of other patrons and wouldn't let it go for 4-5 minutes. Then she walked past us several times making snide remarks about me. Then the cook came out and the argument continued. He took offense and kept arguing with me. I ended up paying full price for an undesirable meal just to shut them up. The lady owner handled the issue so poorly and unprofessionally that she ensured we would NEVER return...EVER.

This is a local restaurant with a family feel. Husband and wife run it and work it so sit for a little bit. Even though the restaurant was a little busy it didn't take long to get our dinner. I had the curry shrimp which was a good choice. We also had egg rolls which are hand rolled daily we were told and Crab Rangoon for appetizers both were very good, maybe cooked a little too long but fine. Overall nice people with good service and good food which by the way is a plateful for a good price too.

I was not at all impressed. Very country decor. Food was not up to par at all. We ordered the Pu Pu Tray and everything on it was covered in thick dough that was over cooked. You could hardly find the shrimp and chicken for the heavy tasteless dough. The crab rangoon was burnt. The egg rolls were pretty greasy. This was an $11.50 appetizer. My son ordered the garlic shrimp entree and barely touched it. I ordered the chicken curry entree and had trouble finishing it. My son and I will not go back. I'm sticking with Beijing's in El Dorado for lunch.

Pretty good little restaurant. I ordered the crab rangoons and then some Kung pao. Would have liked the kung pao a bit spicer. Price was a bit high as well, but overall I thought it was a good place to eat. I'll be back.

By far the best Chinese in east Wichita / Andover. The food is amazing and so is the service. Order family style and share with your group so you can try more dishes. You won't regret it!

This restaurant has been in Andover for decades and has so many regulars! The food here is authentic and really hits the spot. Get the Teriyaki Beef appetizer, it comes with a little grill and it's so delicious when you crisp it up. The egg rolls/crab rangoon are fantastic, along with the hot sour soup! For entree's, I like the Mooshu Beef, Orange Beef, and Cashew Chicken! The House Fried Rice is also pretty phenom! Yeah, I've tried it all..closest Chinese restaurant to me aside from Great Wall (no thanks!). Check it out!

We tried Golden Garden a few weeks ago and it was great. We had the lunch special which consisted of an entree, a crab rangoon, an eggroll and egg drop soup for $5.95. It was pretty good and the size was just perfect for lunch....not huge, but enough to not leave you hungry. I had the curry chicken and it was pretty good. My husband had the Kung Pow chicken and it had a bit of kick to it that he was looking for. The staff was very nice too and checked in on us to make sure our glasses were full and that our meal was good. The decor isn't updated, which I could care less about since I'm kind of a retro chick, I liked it to be honest :) They are a sit down, old school Chinese place which is nice because we don't care for buffets! Be sure to check Golden Garden out!

We have lived in Andover several years and were so happy to find that our neighborhood Chinese restaurant is quite wonderful. The couple who own it work very hard, and are dedicated to fresh food, no MSG. They make the egg rolls fresh every morning, and you can taste it. We are completely spoiled. Almost every time we find ourselves at a different Chinese restaurant, even the most expensive ones, we end up whispering how much better the Golden Garden is. I highly recommend the egg rolls, and one of their specialty dishes, Empress Chicken. Enjoy!

Growing up in Andover this was one of my favorite places to eat. To this day I consider it a special treat when I get a chance to eat there. The General Tao's chicken is unreal especially if you order it extra crispy and with mushrooms and baby corn added. The egg rolls are really good and the rice is extremely fresh. I would eat here everyday if I could, but the prices are up there. It is well worth a visit, so if you are in the area give them a shot.

A very good Chinese Restaurant. I have only eaten there one time, and it is because of the price. It is a little pricy in my opinion. However, if you are willing to overlook that, then this is the place for you. Service is wonderful. Fresh hot rice, authentic cooking and great taste.

GREAT TASTING FOOD! Definitely NOT your average run-of-the-mill chinese food establishments. It seems chinese food is pretty much the same wherever you go except for a few. This place is amazing. Everything tastes fresh (not like all many the preservative-filled chinese food places out there). Prices are reasonable I thought. Lunch especially. If you have the chance, check it out. I normally don't write reviews on things like this, but I think this place deserves the recognition!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
