This place is awesome! I was walking in as they were closing, and instead of turning us away they welcomed us with open arms! I have now been to this cute establishment twice and have had friendly service with a side of delicious ice cream. The espresso oreo and frosted yellow cake flavors are a great combination. The portions are generous and won't break the bank. Tip: You can get a half scoop of two flavors and it counts as only 1 scoop for pricing. They also serve breakfast!

Simply charming! Scoop is nestled in an adorable old home that was beautifully renovated right in the heart of downtown Zionsville. Vintage style furniture and a 50's flair make the charm the best attraction of this little ice cream parlor! They had over a dozen different flavors and encouraged us to try whichever one piqued our interest. I knew from the moment I looked at that espresso fudge Oreos chocolatey goodness that my ice cream date was sealed. I opted for the single scoop (because as it turns out it's actually two scoops of ice cream.) More than enough for me! Personally, I'm not a huge fan of waffle cones so I opted for the straight up cup. My little bowl of ice cream cost me close to four dollars, a little steep, but in the end the location and company made it worth the cost. If you're in Zionsville and looking for a fun place to take the kids I would definitely suggest bringing them here!

(obligatory - I Scream for Ice Cream reference here) Had our first (and second) trips to The Scoop in Zionsville last week during our Spring Break and had a wonderful experience both times. Once again, the variety and delicious combinations of ice cream choices were matched by the warm and welcoming service. That's really refreshing and appreciated. Conveniently located on the main strip in Zionsville, I'm imagining this may make it into our "special treat" rotation this spring and summer.

I got a vanilla shake. This is a signature thing for me, I expect a thick, creamy type of consistency with a great vanilla flavor. This thing was super watered down.

What a beautiful renovation of a older home that was screaming for attention. Now home to The Scoop ice cream shop. The ice cream we tried had amazing flavor. I tried a scoop of the Chocolate Fudge Expresso Brownie and HIGHLY recommend if you love those 4 flavors. I was told the Peach flavor was like eating a peach with excellent flavor and also highly recommended. The service was friendly and very helpful selecting a flavor with samples. The prices are higher at $3.50 for a single scoop but the rich flavors certainly will bring me back. After you've selected your ice cream grab a seat on the beautiful patio, wrap around porch or indoor at tables with bright red chairs. The atmosphere is family oriented with folks of all ages lingering on the patio and beautiful porch enjoying their treats. We enjoyed our ice cream on the patio in comfortable wicker chairs on a beautiful summer evening. So relaxing!! Stop in! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Great customer service. Dog friendly patio. Great flavors of ice cream. Prices are a little high. Environment is adorable and inviting both inside and outside. I would love to bring my family here again.

Very generous servings. I had the berry chip, and it was pretty amazing. We got the waffle cones that were just made on the premises. It's a beautiful old house turned into a cute ice cream parlor. It was decorated in a super patriotic way for the 4th of July.

Bottom line: adorably renovated building in a family-friendly location, with a nice selection of tasty ice cream options. Bonus points for wonderful outdoor seating perfect for people watching. I visited The Scoop for the first time while visiting friends who live nearby. We stopped in for a scoop while strolling the quaint downtown Zionsville area. Hailing from the land of Bi-Rite Creamery and Humphry Slocombe - arguably two of the best ice cream purveyors in the country - I hold ice cream establishments to impossibly high standards. But, even in comparison to those giants, I still think The Scoop is a solid three-star (A-OK) ice cream shop. The ice cream itself is on par with a higher-end store-bought brand, and a little pricey for the quality -- $3.50 for a scoop (a scoop of the aforementioned Humphry Slocombe is $4.00... although not a particularly convenient alternative at 2,200 miles away). During my visit in mid-October they were offering a large selection of flavors ranging from conventional, to decadent, to seasonal (pumpkin, salted caramel, peppermint). I tried the salted caramel and found it kind of one-note - generically sweet with a strong dose of salt. A pretty blue ice cream, whose name I don't remember, looks and tastes exactly like Swensen's bubble gum ice cream, minus the gumballs. I settled on the peppermint, which was nicely creamy with a good bit of crunch from the peppermint candies. The setting is the best part - the location is family-friendly, the building is lovingly renovated, and they offer a lot of outdoor seating options. We sat outside to enjoy the last of the warm fall days and watch the weekend visitors walk through the area. Great fun. I'm sure I'll go back to try to recreate the moment next time I'm in town.

Very cool building and beautiful back patio. The ice cream flavors are unique and interesting; but, it's incredibly expensive and you don't get a lot. In the picture below, it was $3.50 and doesn't even cover the entire bottom of the bowl- a little disappointing.

Adorable new ice cream spot in downtown Zionsville. I sampled lots of flavors before picking banana chocolate chip and I'm glad I did - they have so many yummy options! I can see myself coming here when I'm home with a board game or playing cards - grabbing a scoop and having a game night with my family.

My girls and I love this little place. Not a huge variety of flavors but certainly enough to make you want to keep coming back for more. Great location and atmosphere in downtown Zville too.

Love this place! Finally got to try it and it was great! I had the fudge espresso Oreo it was just as great as the employees said it would be. The patio is so cozy as it's a great location. Customer service was on point. Very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back

Creamy and delicious! We were hungry for ice cream and stumbled on this shop. It has some very unique flavors and it's about the creamiest we've ever had. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

The Scoop is great! Love the house - they did a wonderful job with the restoration, and now it has a sleek, retro feel to it, perfect for a small town ice cream shop. There's seating inside and out, on the wrap around porch. Staff were very friendly. And the ice cream! The ice cream was delicious. Between samples and sneaking bites from my companions, I tried several flavors. Espresso Fudge Oreo was my favorite, but they were all yummy. I like that they have a large selection of flavors, and a healthy mix of classic flavors (like cookie dough, cookies and cream, moose tracks) and some original ones (banana chocolate chip, the espresso fudge oreo, blackberry chocolate chip). Really excited to go back, love this addition to Main Street in the village!

The ice cream is not that great. The prices are through the roof for the amount you get. I had the chocolate and it was okay I had the blue moon and was not a fan.

Its a nice place but outside there were a lot of flies but the ice cream is good and I got a one scoop in a cake cone and they put in about 2 and a half scoops in so good portions.

Excellent selection of delicious ice cream, adorable location, friendly service, and abundant outdoor and indoor seating. $3.50 a scoop, but it was worth it.
