Our friends from Ponderosa Sun Club took us here on a Thursday for the BOGO country fried steak dinner..Wonderful, great staff, homemade food at a good price! And let them know it's your first time there and be sure to save room for a huge surprise!

Usually when I go here, I make sure it's thursday so I can get the country fried steak! It is the best and so worth it cause you can buy one and get another! The steak is not as big as it used to be but I still like it. Veggies look can but I'm not picky, you get a roll and mashed potatoes and gravy. BUT you better make sure you come early cause they tend to run out. I've never really gotten anything else but service can be good, but it is PACKED.

Hands down one of the best places to eat in Wheatfield, you'll be surprised at the quality of food you get in this little eatery in this tiny town. Kudos to the owners for maintaining the same quality I remember from when I lived there years ago.

One of the great injustices in life is that I live 12 hours away from here. My brother lives in the area and every visit requires a visit to Schnick's. It's a total dive, but has the BEST food and excellent service and prices. My last meal there consisted of the fried pickles (I thought I died and went to heaven) and the seafood platter special. The homemade tarter sauce was good enough to eat with a spoon. I just wish there was something as good around here as Schnick's... Until next time.
