Excellent Mexican food. An oasis for Washington Indiana. Thanks to yelp for steering us to this place. Being from Texas, my expectations were low, but far exceeded. We had fajitas and a burrito.

They have spectacular hospitality. All of the servers are extremely friendly. They have a wide variety of authentic Mexican foods. And I have never been disappointed with the dish I ordered. I highly recommend stopping in and tasting it for yourself.

This restaurant wasn't bad in the fact that it satisfied my craving for Americanized Mexican food. The only major letdown was the salsa: under seasoned and tasted like plain tomatoes. A major plus would be that the Chimichanga Los Dos Amigos were perfectly crispy, not soggy at all.

Excellent food, good service. Staff is solely concerned with your dining experience. LOVE IT! Even if I didn't live close I would make the drive!

As Mexican restaurants go--this is a good one. It was very nicely decorated. If the building had been something else you sure could not tell it. They had a wide selection of entrees and a fine marguerite. Very clean inside. We arrived about 45mins to closing. There was no rush put on us. Very hospitable hosts.

This place was so good! I can't believe there's such awesome Mexican food in such a tiny Indiana town. I got the steak fajitas at lunchtime and for about $8 they give SO much food. I wish they gave a little guacamole with the dish but other than that the food was perfect. Really cute decor, you can tell they put work into their restaurant. Bright colors and seemingly custom handiwork on all of the chairs and benches makes it seem really authentic. Not sure when I'll be back in Washington, IN, but if I return I'll for sure visit this restaurant!

My sister's family are regulars and wanted to "share", being from California I'm exposed to real Mexican food on every street corner. Mi Pueblo in Washington where I was born, is the REAL THING! Check it out, nice family atmosphere, artist architecture, paintings..etc. Food is very authentic..

We were traveling from out of state and looking for a non-chain restaurant for lunch. Mi Pueblo was a very well done building with unique decor. The food was very good, reasonably priced and the employees were very friendly. My "spicy chicken" enchilada was not overly spicy, but was quite good. Also, the tortilla chips were not salted, which can be helpful if you are trying to watch your sodium.

I have been coming here for years, every time I'm in the area. I was first brought here by one of my customers and have been coming back ever since. I can't say enough about it. If you like Mexican food come on in, it is excellent.

Excellent food and service. This is our favorite Mexican food place. We drive all the way from jasper just to visit it. Chips and salsa are always good. Never been disappointed. No place in jasper can match it!

I am from Southern Indiana but I reside in Arizona now. I miss Americanized Mexican restaurants like this one. This place was really big and clean. The food was good and everything tasted fresh. The menu was huge and and they have more items than other local similar restaurants in the area. The only thing I didn't care for was the salsa that comes with the chips. Overall, this place was great!

Excellent Mexican spot. The menu is very extensive so you can easily find something you'll like. Portions were generous. I had the chimichangas which were perfect. I would have liked the salsa to have more cilantro, but I'm a cilantro fiend. Service was pretty good even though they were very crowded with the after-church lunch crowd.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
