Haven't been here forever and what a pleasant surprise! Great spirits and the food was fantastic. The kettle cooked shrimp was perfection. ..followed by jerk chicken and rustic beef. My husband and I ate out in their courtyard and enjoyed the atmosphere. Oh and the service was friendly too.

Friendly place, very clean. Good pizza. Reasonable prices. I came here by accident on a night when I'd decided to try something new in town. Turns out they've been here since the 80's. Definitely an 'add' to places to go to.

When I lived in Warsaw this was my goto place on a Friday night with my fellowtwenty something young professionals . PBR deal was to good to pass up. Food is mediocre but who cares when good drinks are flowing and your having a blast w/ your friends!

Outside and inside seating offers a nice choice at this bar. I didn't eat here, so can't vouch for the food. We had a few inexpensive beers and awesome pineapple upside down cake shots. Nice staff and spacious bar area to chat and mingle with friends.

I was in town on business and stopped in this place. We experienced great service, and the food was delicious. I look forward to stopping in again.

Full of locals so you are bound to run into someone you know (whether good or bad) to me this is a typical bar and a good fall back plan. Although I must say their food is great and a great lunch spot.

Love, love the food. They have the best hamburgers around. I eat very little red meat, but to pass up a bleu burger takes lots of discipline. The menu serves up a wide variety from pub grub to healthy salads. The appetizers, from Nachos to fried green beans with wasabi mayo are filling and fun to eat. If you have to be in Warsaw, I highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner and you won't be disappointed. The servers are awesome and as a huge supporter of quality, locally owned establishments, I give the Downtown five stars!

The friendly staff at the downtown make you feel like you've been there a thousand times, even if it's your first time there! The food is affordable and delicious. Shannon, Joann, Justin, Angela, Nate, Angie, and Kristy, Dayna, and Brooke rock! Especially Joann, Shannon and justin! The specials are always well thought out and vary daily. The downtown is also a great spot to see local bands perform. They have bands 2 or 3 weekends a month, which around he Warsaw area is a very rare thing. They have great bands from the Midwest like Fresh Hops, Dan Smyth trio, UpShott, Otitis Media, Objects in Motion, etc. The atmosphere and decor is very familiar even for the newest of visitors. The downtown is my favorite bar in the area, by far. They always have good beers on tap ranging from bells to three floyds to dales, or even ciders. Check out the DT next time you're coming through Warsaw, I might see ya there

Locally owned restaurant and bar with full menu. I tried the fish and chips basket: 4 pieces of fried fish with what seemed to be homemade seasoned potato chips. The chips were a bit too salty for me to eat all of them, but well seasoned and tasty. They have monthly menu specials. For the month of August it was 'Fair Food'! Corn dogs, Funnel Cake Strings, Sweet Potato Tots with marshmallow and coconut !! Nothing on list was over $4. Must go back before end of the month. Wonderful small town vibe; the staff seemed to know everyone by name. I was the odd stranger, but by the end of my meal the bartender had introduced himself, gotten my name and introduced me to some waitresses. Alas, smoking is allowed. Very odd being back where smoking is still allowed with dining. Definitely worth checking out for the friendliness and good service! Kitchen open until 9:30 pm weeknights, 10:00 pm weekends.

I have been going to Downtown even before I was old enough to go it. Growing up, I would beg my parents to get carry out from there on Friday nights. Ever since I turned 21, Downtown has always been a stop every time I am in town visiting my family. I am a big fan of the Chicago Beef. They also have a great beer selection. Definitely a place to check out in Warsaw.

The food here is great for lunch or dinner. The food and drink prices are reasonable and the quality is pretty good, I especially like the build your own burger. If you are a smoker they allow smoking, if you are really against smoking I'd stay away from the dinner time, but lunch isn't bad at all and the place is well ventilated. The beer-battered onion rings here are some of the best that I have ever had.

Burger Quest - Week 15: Not knowing the road conditions in outlying areas, we decided to keep our search for a great burger simple and close to home. So just a quick jaunt west on U.S. 30 and we were in Warsaw where we soon found our destination, Downtown Warsaw (really, that's the name of the restaurant). With it's black and white checked tile floor, brick and rough-sawn cedar walls and burnt orange mosaic bar, we liked the place as soon as we walked inside the door. The menu offered a wide variety of temptations, but alas, we were there for the burgers. There are 5 burger styles from which to choose: Black & Bleu Burger (Cajun blackened seasoning and topped with bleu cheese), Jalapeno & Swiss Burger (jalapenos, Swiss cheese, tomato & lettuce), Kick Back Burger (pepper jack cheese, onion rings, bacon & sriracha sauce), Alpine Burger (Swiss cheese, mushrooms, gravy, & onion), and the American Burger (American cheese, lettuce, red onion & sliced dill pickles). These burgers range in price from $7.49 - $9.99 and come with your choice of French fries, tavern chips or coleslaw. All burgers are served on a Metro Bun except for the Jalapeno & Swiss Burger which is nestled among its toppings on a pretzel roll. Normally I go for something with a lot of diverse flavors, but today I was in the mood for a normal person's version of normal so my wife ordered the American Burger and I opted for the Jalapeno & Swiss Burger. Our "bare burger bites" told us that these were going to be quality burgers. The patties appeared to be third-pounders which we found to be much more manageable than the 1/2-lb. burgers we've had of late. The lean beef was chargrilled, lending the burgers a backyard bar-b-que flavor. We were asked how we wanted our burgers prepared and they were cooked to perfection. Both sandwiches were dressed just right so that no single topping took precedence over the balance of flavors. Service at Warsaw Downtown is top notch, including genuine concern for the customer. When our server realized that my wife had ordered tavern chips but received French fries, she offered to take back the fries and return with chips. Although I told her I would accept the fries, she came back with an order of chips anyway with many apologies. My wife glad she did because these chips are a homemade version of kettle chips with a bar-b-que seasoning. Quite tasty! The only thing we can give that even resembles an adverse critique is that the metro bun was a little dense and dry for my wife's taste, but she usually discards most of the bun on her burgers anyway. Also, she wished the American Burger would have had melted cheddar or jack cheese instead of processed "American," but she knew what she was getting when she ordered it. Downtown Warsaw offers outdoor dining on their spacious patio during warmer months and we're already planning to go back for one of their special subs. We wholeheartedly recommend Downtown Warsaw for a casual lunch or a laid back afternoon with friends.
