Decided to give one lady try. Glad we did! It was a busy Friday but we were seated right away. Our drink order was taken promptly and friendly. Drinks were brought out in a timely manner. And order taken. I ordered six ounce sirloin medium well with salad. Son had a burger husband had a steak. They were brought out fast. Mine was very good. Son ate all of his so know it was good husbands steak was just as ordered. Would eat here again.

We use to have one of these back home in Owensboro, KY but it closed down. We were driving through the area n thought we stop by. The steak was unseasoned and the cat fish was okay. The kids grilled cheese was good and so was the Mac n cheese. Our son enjoyed them along with his mom's mashed potatoes. The staff was friendly but not over talkative. It wasn't the same as back home. The place needs to be updated but other then that not too bad. Was just a lil disappointed but would be back.

I go here decently often, but its not the best. Its funny I still go there alot though lol. I mean, I like what I get but alot of the time the food is cold, and I know people don't enjoy their steaks too much. Plus, it's kind of dirty but still always good to check out!

This was a good restaurant; food was good, not great. The service was good but could have been better. We had the catfish and it was good.

I hastily redid my trip at the last moment, and so I didn't have time to check reviews along the way. This is therefore completely without expectations of what I'd find here. ~ Service: 3.5? stars. Though I suspect that was a function of who we got... and it was kinda weird. Our waitress told us she had just started after 2 years away from waitressing, it was her first day and she loved giving customers free stuff. Well, yeah, we make out like bandits, but I think the restaurant may not be too thrilled with that... The other problem was, as nice as she was, she disappeared for long stretches at a time. She had excuses like "training another employee"... but the customer is always first. Free stuff is nice, but it doesn't hide the flaws. ~ Decor: 5 stars. Very much that steakhouse feel, nice and woody and roomy. ~ Food: 3.5 stars. Steak was underseasoned, but done nicely. I ordered rare just in case, it came blue, they refired to medium rare. Refiring a steak often leads to disaster, but they did well on that. Re: the seasoning, there IS steak sauce at every table if you need more flavor. Since corn syrup was toward the top, I declined to use it, but your mileage may vary. Can't comment on its taste, obviously. By the way, the rolls are absolute crack. They gave me a second one when they redid the steak. Yay. Anyway, the salad wasn't particularly great - I had to ask to get tomatoes (since when does a house salad not have tomatoes?). The sides were pretty good. Overall, I could probably have made a comparable meal, so I can't really give them too many stars for the main course. The dessert brought the food up at least half a star and may have saved this review. The pecan/apple/whatever it was (it was pi day, the closest thing we could find to pie) was worth every penny, and actually was too much for one person after the size of the meals. We also ordered chocolate cake, but we gave it to the waitress (see? she gives us free stuff, we give her free stuff), so I can't comment. Final reason for 4 stars instead of 3: the price. It may not be 5 star fancy, but when you can get steak for under $1/oz at a restaurant, you're doing OK.

we used to go here on special nights out...perhaps four or so times per year. the general quality has dropped dramatically over the last year. our last visit was just two days ago...and the experience was far from great. our server was the only saving grace to the entire evening. food was 2/10....restaurant cleanliness 2/10..service staff hangs on the front of house desk and picks pimples or tussles with their hair...and then one by one gripe and complain b/c they have to go take care of customers. two of us was $50+.! Not worth it! also...bring a pair of ear plugs...its like a madhouse in there.....private conversation is not even a remote possibility. wont be back until we see hear of changes.

Food was good, but they force the main course on you right after they deliver the starters. We ordered combo onion rings and mushrooms. Got those with our salads. Two minutes later the prime rib arrives. I asked the waitress why the main dish came out? She said it was cooks fault. I asked her what she could do about it. She said it could go back and sit, but it would get cold. It's the waitress who should time it out. This is the 2nd time this happened. Not coming back again.

Yesterday, Tony and I took a daytrip to Vincennes to check out the HISTORY..my personal passion...before we went I checked out some reviews on Yelp.com ...wanted to eat at "Old Thyme Diner" on main street but it was closed on saturdays...so we opted for our second choice " Montana Mike's"...I have to say the previous reviews got our hopes UP...and we were disappointed..that is always such a HUGE LETDOWN.. The restaurant is large inside. Roomy and dark wood so it looks like a lodge in the west...sort of the motif that it is going for I guess to suit the name.. We were greeted promptly at the door. Waitress took us to the MOST BUSIEST section of the restaurant, I noticed some empty spaces towards the back and asked if we could get one of those booths instead of table in the middle of the floor among LOUD groups of families with kids..she gave me a look like "WTF!!!" but said "sure I guess".. We were seated near where I wanted but still too close to the LOUD groups..this one man would NOT STOP talking and he was so loud..I swear the other people at that table never got a word in edgewise and must have been deaf...I would have had to slap him silly...He was talking so loud, at first I thought he had a microphone..too loud and I heard his whole conversation... Second, we ordered our drinks, unsweetened tea with lemon and lime and a budweiser..waitress brought us Bud Lite and Sweet tea..I said to her, Sorry Bree but this is wrong..I need unsweetened tea..too sweet for me..and we need a Bud not Bud lite..so she fixed the drinks...without an apology.. Second, I told her we needed a few minutes to look over the menu..so she started offering several of her favorite choices..we thanked her but asked for a few more minutes to decide..she came back about 3 minutes later and said "You guys done yet?"...my husband said NO but if you don't mind I will just motion for you when we are ready...about 4-5 more minutes.. He always has a huge issue with choices. so about a minute later ( I kid you not)..so I said okay Bree to make it easy on you give us the same thing. (2) ..8oz Sirloin Medium Rare, Baked Potato (his loaded but mine with butter and sourcream only) and two side salads with ranch dressing and rolls..with ONE side of garlic grilled mushrooms..she stood there for a minute, and I handed her my menu..she looked at Tony and said..."is that what you want? or did you want to order something else?" he handed her his menu and said "NO that is fine...she got for us both".. she brought us the salads....literally lettuce, 2 slices of cucumbers, one slice of onion, and some croutons with drowning in ranch dressing. NOTHING ELSE..no cheese, no bacon bits and no tomatoes..not even some extra onions... The rolls came ONE each with our dinner ...Big...Tony loved them..they were good..but I would have preferred a basket of bread on the table. Then about 20 minutes later here she arrived with the steaks and potatoes..firs of all NO LOADED potato for Tony, so she had to bring back a container 2 oz serving of bacon bits and cheese...(( that same 2oz container I would have loved to have been thrown into my salad ))) the Steaks were still MOO-ing...but Tony refuses to send them back..he is afraid the chef would do something to them.. I sliced off the sides, top and bottom of my steak...wherever I could find some cooked meat...and left a 6oz hunk of raw meat on my plate...I KID YOU NOT!!!!! the baked potato was Good... I give them 3 out of 5 stars. If we are ever in 'vincennes again...I would NOT eat here.. you take your chances..everyone's choice is their choice but I wanted to at least put an accurate one on here for others to know my opinion.. Let me know what you think!!!!

I have eaten at Montana Mike's many times over the last several years, and have never been terribly impressed. Most of their food, appetizers, sides, etc all range from good to almost great. Why the 2-star review then? Montana Mikes has one fatal flaw for me.. for being considered a "steak house" its steaks just aren't very good. If I'm going to a steak house, I want an awesome steak! My main problem with them is that they tend to be not particularly well seasoned, and generally lacking in the flavor one associates with a good steak. Also, they tend to have a lot of fat and gristle on the edges that any decent restaurant would have trimmed off. I'd have liked to have given them a better review, but considering the steak I just can't. You'd be much better served to order a burger, kabobs, or maybe even chicken. If they could get the steak right they'd have a good thing going.

Not a good cut of meat. Way too much fat. Steak could have used some more seasoning too. Roll was very tasty though. Probably the best restaurant in this town but that's not really saying much. Service was very friendly.

Always remembered this place being better... was extremely disappointed with every aspect of the experience. Cheese fries skimped out on the bacon. Salad was soggy and very small. Steak had to be sent back, as it was not cooked to order. For a 22oz steak, only about half was edible. Entirely too much fat and gristle on these low grade, yet overpriced cuts of meat. Had to repeat requests for things (extra napkins, sauce) but our server decided she was just going to forget about these I guess. She seemed more worried about the arriving customers than the ones that were already in place, the ones waiting for small things like refills. This review may come across as harsh, but the experience was exactly as I have described. Hoping to save other people the trouble of making the same mistake I did. Spent $70+ for three people and regret not going elsewhere.

One of my favorite restaurants around my hometown. Reasonable prices and large portions. It is a chain but this particular restaurant has a nice, hometown feel. The mushrooms and zucchini are deep fried goodness for starters but the best part by far are the dinner rolls. They have a butter shell covering a chewy and warm inside. You can't go wrong with any of the entrees from steak to chicken.

I've always liked it here! They give you tons of food and it seems to be quality meat! I have had a couple issues with under/over cooked meat but they were happy to fix it when I brought it to their attention. My favorite part is probably their bread - I could eat it forever. Go give it a try!

This place use to be a very good place to eat in Vincennes but after the meal I just had I think I will pass on eating here again. I'm not one to give terrible reviews but this experience needs to be shared. To start off, our drink order was taken & we ordered the combo app. The server, Linda, got our drinks and brought them out then proceeded to start taking our main course order. About halfway through the first person in our group's order, she said, "Hold on I have to take care of something real quick!" She interrupted my mother & walked away from our table to the front desk. Then came out of the kitchen to wait on 4 other tables. As she walked by ours, she apologized and said I'll be right back. About 10 minutes later, our appetizer arrived & we have yet to place our food order. Linda eventually arrived at our table & we placed our food order. My parents food came out just fine but my steak was brought out well done when I ordered medium rare. I asked for a different one & the server took it to the back. A new steak was brought out to me 7 minutes later & was very rare. I sucked it up and ate the steak but I have a feeling I'll regret it in a few hours. Keep in mind we ate here at 4:30pm on New Years Eve night before the dinner rush. Positives: -We were able to eat a meal. -Parents food was good Negatives: -Very Slow Service -Dirty plates (had to send back & get clean ones) -Very dirty restaurant -Poorly cooked steak -Workers were yelling at each other in the back -Long wait for server to pick up our money The reason for the 2 star review is because this place has a good past for food & service quality however trying it again probably won't happen in my near future. My advice is eat at your own risk!

Waitress very very slow. Never did get refill. Out of our $60 meal only cottage cheese and rolls were good. Salad a big bowl of lettuce an a few croutons. My ribeye an my husbands porterhouse had no flavor. Waitress did not know menu when we asked questions regarding items. It was almost comical.
