Petey’s Gyros Menu

The gyro meat was decent. Some places have it too salty, yet Petey's was decent. The gyro: I've definitely had better. It had some gyro meat, three 1/2 moon slices of tomato and some sauce on pita bread. The sauce- industrial made, not home made as one would get at a true Greek restaurant. The french fries- ok taste. $9 for the gyro/fries/drink combination: too expensive. I can get the same special, and better taste, in Chicago for $7. We can say we tried Petey's and won't be back.

I used to eat here pretty regularly in college, and have been a fan. What makes this place better than other Gyro joints is that their burgers and dogs are better. Seriously, their double is my favorite fast food burger probably ever.

Sadly the worst part of this place wasn't the stale fries or the over priced platter that you can get cheaper at another valpo gyro place its the customer service were the lack the most. I ordered two platters and some hot dogs I paid for the platters and the hotdogs and I got no platters and just the gyro sandwich. I went back and they charged me another platter!!!all in all I paid for 3 gyros and got two ... No thanks won't do that again thanks for the bad experience though.

Think of a fast food, high quality gyro joint. A co-worker turned me on to this place once when heading back from Chicago. I've stopped many times since. I even sent my wife directions as she's heading back from Chicago tonight... I think I'll have her pick up lunch for tomorrow.

This place is fantastic. The Gyro Burger is legendary and the french fries are exceptional. The only thing holding Petey's back from 5 stars is their decision to serve Pepsi products over Coke. But that blunder is not fatal, and, overall, this place is a must-have when in Valpo.

We have had some great food from Petey's.....BUT....tonight we were greatly disappointed with our order. Ordered an Italian Beef Sandwich with fries. The price was $13.21 for delivery. Opened the order and there was no way my husband and I could share this sandwich .... it was puny!! Live and learn!! Next time we will order a 12 " Italian Beef w/fries from JJ's.

The food is pretty good although a bit over-priced. The fries are great! I've definitely had better gyros though.

Love their Philly's!! and they are the ONLY ones who are willing to deliver to us in the country!! My parents when they come to visit have to eat Petey's gyro's for lunch before heading back home.

Best gyros around! French fries are very good too, not those real skinny ones you get at other gyros places. Nicely remodeled!

This is one of those places I can go with my wife and 4 kids and everyone gets something they like. Petey's has good quality fast food. Some items go over $10/person, but most are just under $10. They have some cool special items. The current one is the Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger. They have recently remodeled and have added new items to the menu since I was here last.

Ordered for delivery tonight. I got an avocado bacon cheeseburger and my husband requested hot wings (all paddles). We also ordered a large fries. The sourdough bread for my burger should have been a bit more crisp (toastier) because it was a bit greasy. The flavor was good however. My husband liked his wings, BUT he did NOT get all paddles. Disappointing to say the least. The receipt clearly states all paddles. Delivery was within the time frame quoted.

Overpriced for the quality of food, paid $23 for 2 meals ( a chicken sandwich and a philly steak sandwich). Food was just "ok". In order for me to go back there the food would have to be a lot better or the prices would have to go down. I ate until I was full and threw the rest in the trash. I had no desire to keep eating. My 15 year old said the frozen Philly's I buy at sams taste better than the one he ate there. I was hoping that this would of been a nice lunch spot to take my kids too that wouldn't break the bank but if I'm going to spend $50-$60 on a meal for the family it sure as heck won't be here. If they dropped their prices 30% I bet they would be way busier ( no one else was in there and it was lunch time) and make a lot more money in the long run. Or, rework your recipes to make your food worthy of the price you're asking. I was so disappointed by this place.

I had a gyros meal from there to feed 2 people. It was pretty good. Pitas were kinda small and the sauce that came with was pretty disappointing. The gyros meat was good though, I'd give it another chance maybe have a constructed gyros.

This place has good food. It's not the best Greek food around, but I'm surprised at other reviews on here giving it less than 3 stars. I think that's not a fair representation, so I'm going to give it 5 for fairness. I would otherwise give it a 4 star. It's quick service and atmosphere is relaxing and clean. The amount of food you get for the price is more than reasonable. If they have more tomatoes and other veggies, it would definitely be a deserving 5 star place.
