The best Chinese food in Tell City for sure. Not a very big selection but their mushrooms and black pepper chicken are amazing. Affordable (especially for lunch) and the owner is a very sweet and friendly lady.

I would be curious to know if this is owned by Los Bravos because the menu here is virtually a complete replica, even listing the same "NEW" menu items!! I can't find any online proof but sure is curious! My husband and I decided to stop in for a late lunch since we had heard this is the "best Mexican around" and I was quite surprised to experience such slow service given that we were one table of perhaps 4 or 5 in the entire place. I'm not too sure as to their excuse which is why I'm having a hard time giving more than 3 stars. As for the food, we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered a chicken breast topped with chorizo and my husband ordered a chile relleno, which actually isn't called a chile relleno in Indiana or at Fiesta Grande. This was the first restaurant in Indiana we've actually been able to find an authentic chile relleno which was nice, however for some reason it was a bit soggy when it should be nice and crispy on the outside. The batter also tasted like it had been fried in old oil used for french fries. No bueno!! I'm willing to give it another chance though. On the other hand, my chicken chorizo was quite tasty and the chorizo had excellent flavor and the perfect amount of spice. I would love to come here on an evening when the margaritas get flowing and the party gets started!! I shall return Fiesta Grande! Side Note: My standard for Mexican food are extremely high having lived in a Mexican food mecca for 20 years. For Indiana natives this place would probably receive a 5-star ranking!
Yum! I love Mexican food so I was pretty excited to go here for dinner. The menu is pretty extensive, lots of choices for seafood, burritos, beef, pork, vegetarian, etc. After you're seated, they promptly bring out a basket of chips and a bowl of salsa for you to munch on while you decide on what to eat. Our table shared an order of wings (which aren't on the menu). The sauce wasn't quite the same as normal buffalo wing sauce. It had a nice peppery kick to it, but didn't have as strong of a vinegar or butter flavor. The wings came with a nice pile of fries and the waiter brought out a bottle of ketchup for us. For my entree, I ordered the Shrimp a la Mexicana. It was really good. The plate was half shrimp, quarter rice, quarter lettuce and "avocado sauce" (or guacamole). The shrimp was flavored nicely and I loved all of the jalapeños scattered across the dish. My one colleague got the Jalisco Special which was chicken, shrimp, and steak with a bunch of vegetables and a cheese sauce piled on top of rice. It looked really yummy. My other colleague ordered the Cancun Special with chicken (no shrimp, he specified) and that looked really good too. It was piled with vegetables (carrots and cauliflower from what I saw). Each of our dishes was under $10 and the portions were really generous. The other half of the restaurant is a late-night fun area with a live band on the weekends. I could hear the bass as I was eating and then eventually I heard drums and guitar from the live band. It sounded like a good time, and apparently, it's the hot spot for young people to hang out at. I had work early the next day, so I wasn't at all interested in checking it out. I did end up there later (that weekend) and it was a pretty good time. There isn't much nightlife in Tell City so it gets relatively busy at the Cantina. The boys liked to call it the "Slut-tina" because of the wardrobe and behavior of the bulk of the females hanging out here, so let that information tempt or ward you off - whatever floats your boat. Drinks were SO cheap compared to the NYC drink prices I was used to. Our waiter was really attentive and made sure our drinks were replenished when we needed/wanted it. The ambiance was nice, though the tables seemed like they were from the 70s, and the decor was kitschy (brightly colored walls and sombreros hung up randomly) but isn't that what you expect form a Mexican restaurant?
Love the food at fiesta grande!

I love this place! You can get a Large deep dish pizza, 2 salads and a pitcher of Goose Island for $35 and the food and staff is really great!
Seriously the best pizza place within a 30 mile radius of Holiday World, and worth the drive if you're looking for a good pie! I agree with the previous reviewer that said it wouldn't garner a 5 star review if it were in a large city...but we're not, so it does. I absolutely love the pan pizza and the crust is "to-die-for". Their selections of specialty pizzas are numerous, including my personal favorite, the Barbecue Chicken Pizza. When eating in, be prepared for minimal seating and LOTS of kids/screaming. However, the beer selection is decent, so a few beers and you forget about the kids!! Their carry out is well done with a window right up front. The best things is the prices!! My husbands and i were shocked at our bill. The price is what added one last star to my review. Note: The have a HUGE pie that serves like 20 people. Pretty sure you'll have to strap the box to the top of your car to take it home though...it's THAT big!!!
Chicago's Pizza is definitely a gem of a find for small town southern Indiana. We've been several times now and have yet to find a local (we're from Santa Claus) pizza joint that comes even close to the quality of Chicago's Pizza.

Let me first start off by saying, I was SUPER excited about trying this place out. Staying at a nearby hotel for our short trip to Holiday a World, I told my wife we HAD to have dinner here one night. We ended up going on our first night in town and as soon as we walked inside, I was impressed with the environment. Very spacious, cool decor, and nice area for brewing. After sitting down we began looking at the menu and everything looked good! Our daughter and her friend got a chicken wrap and chicken tenders, my wife chose the wedge salad, and I , after long debate, decided to go with the signature black and brew burger with a side of broccoli casserole. After finishing our pretzel and beer cheese appetizer, which I did enjoy, our main dishes arrived. Everything looked ok until I began to eat my burger and broccoli casserole. The burger was very well done and burnt, and the broccoli was cold as if it had been sitting out for some time. After sending the food back, which I rarely do, I watched my family finish their meals and then had to remind my waitress that I was still waiting on my food. When it finally came back out, it was definitely an improvement, however, I wish I could've enjoyed eating with the rest of my family. To top it off, I don't typically ask for handouts or freebies of any kind, but to get our check without any type of discount or anything at all, was a major disappointment. I hope this was just one of those off days for them but I fear not. Disappointing dinner experience to say the least.
Diamond in the Rough. Stopped in to eat and get a drink after a winding motorcycle ride from French Lick. Great atmosphere, friendly servers, lots of TV's, and two bars! Although only one was open in the afternoon. Had an excellent burger and a wedge salad. Highly recommended as a point of destination.
Awesome!!!! This is a must try for anyone who likes a cool atmosphere, and a GREAT burger. I have been here a couple of times and had the Black & Brew burger, and it is top notch. The atmosphere is really laid back. Wait staff is friendly and fast. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back and try something new.

My wife and her mother love this place/food. It is always a stop while visiting Tell City. Cya in a few weeks.
Easily the worst restaurant in Tell City. Absolutely horrible. The food is straight from a can. BBQ is terrible. Don't waste your money.
