I was here last weekend after being out all night with a friend. I am honestly still overcoming my agoraphobic ways, so I wasn't too excited to make a trip to Denny's, but it is where he wanted to go and I need all the exposure therapy I can get. When I do venture out, I prefer family-owned joints and avoid chains, but it turned out it wasn't so bad. I had been to this Denny's once before in 2008 with another friend and it seemed dirty back then. I am glad to report it was MUCH cleaner this time. This visit was late morning on a Saturday. Very crowded, but we were seated right away in a booth not too far from the entrance. I was happy to get an ice-cold water and a tomato juice. (You'd be surprised-some places don't have tomato juice. So this was a plus!) I wasn't especially hungry and just had a side of hashbrowns. I do have to say they were pretty good hash browns! Some places, again, just don't know how to do 'em right. And they didn't taste like they had been sitting next to meat or anything. My dining companion had coffee, which was refilled propmptly without even asking for a warm-up. He had some sort of a slam with a choice between pancakes and toast, so he got the pancakes, but wanted blueberry. The server made a point to say she'd be charging for the blueberries, but that he could have them. His meal also came with hashbrowns, but I don't remember what else. I think my friend was getting full and wanted to share his pancakes with me. Undoubtedly not vegan, but I had a bite of them. Didn't have much flavor at all and not the best pancakes in the world by any means, but it was nice of him. I also noticed the ketchup was almost empty and he got the last of it out of the bottle for his potatoes there. Service was decent, especially considering the crowd in there, and another girl was good at removing dirty dishes promptly and was friendly. Our waitress was alright, sort of friendly I suppose, but kind of reminded me of a surly chick working at a dive in another time period, though she wasn't old enough to be "Flo" or anything. She seemed to be flirting with my friend, which I felt was a little weird, but maybe it was just me. I have worked as a server plenty in the past and have used "hon" with the best of 'em, but you really gotta be careful with thats sort of thing. What if I were his girlfriend or wife? But then again, I was over exhausted by the time I was eating here, so I could have just been irritable. Overall, I'd say A-OK, but it wasn't anything spectacular that makes me feel like I am just dying to go back to Denny's. Got to refuel and enjoy conversation with my friend and sit in a comfortable seat. In Speedway, I'd rather be at Charlie Brown's, for sure. I think I'll take my friends there from now on when they're in town. However, if you end up here, it's not too bad and probably better during slower times of day. Denny's just doesn't seem as good as it was when I was a kid.

I got the $8 French toast slam with sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns and OJ! My husband got the pancake slam with the same sides. Let us say this is so delightful. Very very delicious. They were very busy today. Staff was working hard and still pleasant to deal with. Until next time...

I'm sitting here for breakfast. Food was ok. Waitress was friendly. There are two different music sources going, the overly loud Top 40 Rock + the kitchen station, in other words: cacaphony. Took three sets of silverware to get some that was clean, seriously spotted. Meh.

We were kicked out of here years ago because gay people "made the customers uncomfortable." I've never been back after the single most humiliating experience of my life.

Of the three dennys ive visited in the area i like this one the best. Service was friendly, coffee was hot (which you would think would be the norm among all dennys, but remarkably isn't), and the toast wasnt stale (which again you would think would be par, but isnt). I eat breakfast out everyday, so until they give me a reason this dennys will have a new regular.

I was once a loyal Denny's person, and this one location in particular. Today was my first visit back in 3 year (my husband will not eat at Denny's) , and I will never go back to this location again.. My mom and I got seated at 1:26pm, 6 other tables had customers, and 5 waitress were visible. we waited 45 min for my scrambled eggs and her salad. No apology from our waitress on the wait, or the fact we had to chase her down for forks. So we hope for the best. My eggs were cold, toast burnt and turkey bacon was what i was pretty sure was lunch meat. As my mom was putting her dressing on the salad, she found some dark little hairs on the chicken. My mom walked around with her salad and found the manger and told the her, who then asked if she wanted a different salad, "of corse not", she didn't even ask how my food was. After searching for the waitress, we got our check and left, food still on plates. Never again and if I didn't have scruples i would have walked out with out paying for what we did eat and drink.

just got back from here and this place has gone totally down hill. when we walked through the door we were immediately seated by a server with her purse in her hand on the way out the door, so no problem with that. Then everything else was horrible. They left the place ran with only a hispanic cook and a server who was an air head. She was clueless as to what was going on and worse she didn't care. I was certain that the white lady hanging out kissing and rubbing all over some high as a kite black man was the supervisor. Allegedly there was no manager there but this woman that i am speaking of is usually there at night as the supervisor. I asked for the club sandwich extra bacon and to make sure it was crispy. Didn't get the extra bacon and it was not crispy. paid 49 cents extra for seasoned fries and i counted them they gave me 12 fries. when we started to pay she tried her best to get my receipt from me but i kept it. She got no tip. I can count on one hand how many times i have left no tip. I give this place along with its sister store on kentucky ave 6 months and they will be closed if something does not change. I curse the day that corporate owned businesses started allowing franchises to open their stores as this is what you get. And now nobody cares what happens, as long as the corporate gets the check once a month for the franchise they couldn't care less how it is ran. Indy needs some good late night places to eat as there is not one that I can think of that is worth it.

Super...SUUUUUPER slow service and they didn't have some if the items that we ordered after saying they did. This is the 3rd time this has happened(super slow service) at this particular Denny's, and I can't believe its taken us/me 3 times over about 6 months time to say that we'll not go back, but I suppose we gave them the benefit of the doubt in the past. We had a party of 8 at 9:00pm on a Friday night. There was a table that came in after us and had the same amount of people we did. They ordered their food and were done eating before we got ours and it was a good 20 minutes or so for drinks. They weren't very busy either. Maybe 1/3 full. I wanted hard boiled eggs and the server told me it would be 3 hours?!? And then the manager came out and said it'd be about 25 minutes, but by then my party had already got their food...finally. To the managers credit, she did try to make it right with everything on the house, but it was too little and too late.

this is the most God awful food on the planet. I had basically an egg and some hash browns and I can barely hold my mud. my stomach is in shambles. my meal was 15 bucks for some sh** truck food that is literally making hot water fall out of anus. I'm warning you, stay away from this dennys, I made a promise to my lord and savior never to eat at Denny's again so long as I don't spray paint my toilet again.
