Wonderful place in an old brick walled building. Atmosphere is awesome. The muffin and cookie with coffee was a great start to my day.
Gem along I-65. Pull over from some great coffee from some guys and gals with smiles on their faces! I couldn't find coffee anywhere between Jeffersonville, IN and Indianapolis, IN other than gas station coffee. Took a gamble with a short job off the interstate and very pleased. Plenty of local art on display to look at to stretch out from the drive. Will go back again next time I'm making that commute in between family establishments!
My family and I eat here when we are in town visiting family. The food is home-made and delicious. The chicken salad is the best I've ever had: moist and flavorful, I could eat it by the buckets. The peanut butter cookies are to die for. I highly recommend.

If you are on I-65, heading north to Indianapolis or south to Louisville, stop by Willie D's in Scottsburg, Indiana for lunch. Everything tasted homemade and arrived in nice big-sized, down home American portions. I had the chicken salad wrap and some cole slaw--best ever! I also sampled the potato salad. As an extra treat, I had some fried green tomatoes, which were conveniently breaded as chips and offered with ranch sauce to dip them in. Although they had many homemade desserts on display behind the counter--brownies, chocolate candies--I didn't get any but they looked scrumptious. Willie D's also serves breakfast. The building may not be much to look at on the outside, but the inside is comfortable and I recommend you stop by if you happen to be traveling through Scott County, Indiana.
This is a solid place. The food is good and people that run this restaurant are great people. I like the soups. The sandwiches are good, but they do deliver. This place is good for lunch that is reasonably priced.
Excellent food with a mom and pop feel. When you walk in, you can tell this restaurant is really a part of the community. With all the old pictures and newspapers of local high school championships hanging on the walls, you know this is not just another cookie cutter restaurant. The people here are warm and friendly, too.....they even offer delivery. The only bad thing about this place....deciding what to order. Their homemade soups and chicken salad are fantastic! One of my friends told me he actually tried every weekend, for about 6 weeks, to figure out how to make the cheesy broccoli soup. Cookies, cakes, and pies are homemade as well. This place definitely beats picking up something from a fast food joint!

Rising star Molly and her trainer Allie were the best servers we have ever had at any Cracker Barrel. We have been to Cracker Barrel all across the country and this service was the best of them. Thank You for a great dinner and the best service. You guys rock!
The negatives of this visit urge me to give two stars. On the whole though, I have to be fair and give three stars. Stopped here mid-morning, so not busy at all. Friendly greeting and immediate seating for our group of six. Clean and acceptable bathrooms. The usual well displayed country junk for sale in the store. Dakotah was a very friendly and fast server. She deserves four stars: all around good service. However the food quality at this Cracker Barrel and many others has become inconsistent. Best items were whole grain pancakes, pecan pancakes, ham, bacon and scrambled eggs (four stars). Everything else was disappointing: doughy biscuits, tasteless gravy, pasty grits, and cold bland hash brown casserole (all one or two stars). Still better than McDonalds but shouldn't CB be better? I think there are four or five star CBs out there but this isn't one of them. When you see the Scottsburg exit, keep driving. It's not an easy on/off driving or consistent dining experience.
Stopped in for a quick breakfast and was generally pretty pleased. Coffee was good and the french toast (I added blackberry sauce) was also quite good.

This may say "Steak House" on the sign but it is really just a smaller version of a Golden Corral. You order and pay as you are walking in the door then proceed to the buffet (what the majority of people apparently order). A friend and I visited during lunch on a Sunday afternoon and were told that we had to pay the dinner price for the buffet all day on weekends. We each shelled out $10.99 for the buffet plus $1.99 for a drink. We were advised that tipping was recommended as a waitress would be refiling our drinks and busing our plates away. The buffet was large; three hot bars plus a salad bar and desert bar. However, the food tasted low quality and reminded me of my high school cafeteria. The chicken on the buffet was completely inedible as it was pink and under-cooked. The waitress didn't refill our drinks until I walked across the restaurant and asked her to do so. I'm usually a generous tipper but this time we only left 10% which was still probably more than what the waitress actually earned. Overall a big disappointment.
Every time I have been here in the past 26 years the food has been hot, fresh, & delicious. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, & attentive to my family's & my needs & requests! They have a wide variety on the food buffet & you can also order from the menu. Even my grandbabies find many food choices they enjoy! My family has dined here in large groups including lots of kids & we have always enjoyed a pleasant experience! It is our first choice when we are in town & many times when we aren't we will drive the 35 miles just because we enjoy the restaurant
The food at this place seems like standard cafeteria food. Nothing stood out as being exceptionally good. The staff itself was very lackluster and not very helpful. We dined amongst our dirty dishes from previous visits to the buffet. While one of the waitresses was cleaning the table next to us we drop the knife on the floor... She looked at it, and then continued cleaning the table. Never offered to pick it up. I heard a different customer was complaining to the manager how someone had dropped a dollop of ice cream on the floor, told the waitress only to be ignored. Another customer eventually slipped on it almost falling down. She told another waitress who also ignored her. I find it unlikely that I'll be returning. Would rather visit the Denny's or Cracker Barrel next-door.
